SG,
You deserve more than a day off but I guess that is what the Disney trips are for.

I love a good deal and need a new desk chair myself. It is sad that I can not find a good desk chair that is comfortable for much more than a year. I love my digital camera the problem is I am on dial up so it is near impossible to get any pictures to download to a photo bucket type service. It is soooo frustrating because I live so far in the middle of nowhere that I have no choice unless I want to pay a fortune for satalite internet. I even call and beg Verizon every once in a while to come out and change our lines to digital instead of analog and each time I am told it is not worth their time because there are not enough houses out this way. Someday. I am waiting for Kodak to send me updated software for my camera and I will try to download at least a picture. Windows Vista is so much fun. lol It is a wonderful program but all the devices I have came with the old software that doesn't work with vista.

Hi Ang,

I feel your pain with dial up, we had it at our house for 2 years...then my husband finally broke down and ordered high speed through our cable company. I also keep bugging Verizon, we live at the corner of two roads...the digital lines run right past our house on the main road, but they won't run the digital lines up my street, so we only get analog service also! The thing that stinks is that Verizon's high speed is cheaper than the cable companies monthly price!

Hey hey hey gals, whats up??? Getting ready for our company Turkey day lunch and guess who gets to cook it???LOL! I love to do it, I just love to cook.

So who else is getting ready for that Bird???

SG what are you dates again for Dec.? I think we are going down for a very short time like 4days.

Timmy where are though?????

Angela/Wic I understand both of your pains as I also had the dial up before until I got cable wow what a difference. Angela I would keep up calling them that you need this at your house.

Morning Nancy,

I don't have Thanksgiving duty in my family this year, my sister does. I have Christmas duty, and more than likely Easter duty again next year! Normally I have Thanksgiving, but Shawn has to work this year on Thanksgiving, and my sister's husband has to work Christmas....so we flip flopped our cooking holidays this year! Shawn and I are also hosting our Bowler's christmas party too, that party is on the 22nd! I'm going to have a very busy few days!

Yeah, where is Timmy? I know her surgery is supposed to be in a couple weeks, unless they moved it up! :confused3

I can't believe we're talking Thanksgiving and Christmas already...where the heck did the year go??? Seems like just yesterday, we were all waiting for Disney to announce free dining! :rotfl2:

I know that is just too Funny. Oh just to let you know that we canceled our trip to Ireland through Disney at this point but we are still booked for Disney in Sept.

How come you cancelled Ireland?

I'm glad you're still booked for September at Disney though! :yay:

nothing major we can do almost 3 weeks over there like London, Paris, France, Ireland etc. for the same price so what would you do???

I really want to go with Disney but money wise this seems to make more sense and we can stay in the same places that Disney stays at.

Yeah, you have to do what's right for you guys! If you can hit more places for the same amount of $$$, then I'd do the same thing!

tell you will go with me and Mike if he never takes you :lmao:

So what are you cooking for Christmas???

Yeah, I'm sure he'd be loving that idea! :rotfl2:

:scared1: Are you kidding me, I haven't even given Christmas dinner a thought yet! I'm sure I will probably cook a Turkey, maybe a Prime Rib or a Ham too! I haven't really thought that far out yet! Then the usual veggies, rolls and desserts! Every year I say I'm going to try something different, haven't done it yet, maybe this will be the year I shake things up! :lmao:

So what are you and Mike doing for Christmas?

We are spending Thanksgiving with a couple of my bil's. I like my bil's so that is not a big burden though. I am making stuffing, cranberry relish, some sort of homemade bread and maybe a bit of something else. It is harder to haul than it is to cook it in my own home but my bil's are a bit odd and refuse to leave their homeland. :lmao:

Pooh, we are booked in from December 9th-19th but it is still up in the air as to whether we will actually get there or not.

I would pick the trip where I got to see the most for the least as well. I like more bang for my buck.

SG/Linda

Going to Disney!!!!!!! well okay its before christmas but this is my thing. We were supposed to go to my mom and dad's but with everything the way it was it wouldn't be a good idea to go right now.

so on Christmas eve we always go to his Grandparents house on his mom's side and then Christmas day his mom and dad's house (maybe I might just want to stay home).

Isn't it so much fun having to make sure you hit both sides of the families houses during the holidays? I told Shawn that this year, if they want to see us, they can come to us! :rotfl2:

well the boss is going to be my father - n - law (hopefully) thats why we are planning this huge thing its going to be our honeymoon??

I never had the complications over where to spend holidays as my parents were still raising kids when I was raising mine and did not celebrate and my mil was a good woman but not much of a homemaker so I always did all the cooking and everyone came to our house which worked well for me. :santa:

After a couple of Thanksgivings where my sil spent the entire time either complaining about 'having' to come to our house since he had so many celebrations with his large and close knit family and not eating cause he had another party to go to later in the day I gave up the ghost and just make other plans. Being the wonderful mil that I am I do not complain, to them. :rotfl:

They come here for Christmas Eve as we live right behind their church and it is convenient for them to get to midnight services. One year the parents went to sleep and the boys and I had a delightful time. Tom opens his presents first, puts them in a neat pile, picks them up and takes them to the bedroom and then retires to the kitchen TV so he is never a 'bother' at all. Think it would be alright to slip something in the punch for the grownups for a repeat? They need the rest, it would be good for them. :thumbsup2 I am always thinking of others ya know??:)

Pooh, I hope everything works out as you hope for. Your trip sounds lovely. I think it is the same one that another DIS friend took with her husband last year and they had a fabulous time from the photos she sent me. That is a cruise even I would enjoy. Please consider showing up for the family holiday events even if you think you will not enjoy them. You might and one thing for sure is you will seldom regret going while you might well regret not.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

yeah I understand about being with family at the holidays but my mom and I are so much a like that we can only be in the same room for about 2 hours and then we want to choke each other:lmao:
