True, very true!!! :lmao:

I was sooo bored that week too, seeing that my original vacation plans were a bust this year, I think I was the only person not there this year!

Hi all! Just checking in really quick to say hello. I hope you all are doing well! We are super busy here so I have not had much time to DIS at all. Found out hubby may be home in January, so I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for that, including going on a major diet! :)
Anyway, take care and I will try to check in more often.

Hi all! Hey Timmy, how bout food & wine next year??

well so far we are booked to do FD from 9-21 to 9-27 at POP then 9-28 to 10-3 at SSR :thumbsup2 of 2008!!!

janjan!!! please pm me with your address... address for snail mail... please!!!

Hi ya all! Been busy attending to my duties and winning awards. :rotfl:

angwill. go on vacation alone? My generation of married women do not do that and especially if they are married to yet another older generation of man. If I dared to do such it would not be pretty when I returned. I once went to a meeting without permission and it was scary enough. I can dream though. :cloud9:

janjandis, I posted with one word replies one time and it near drove me crazy. If it would help you I would be willing to try to post one letter at a time but since I am nearing senility I might lose my train of thought along the way. Of course I do that anyway at a neckbreaking speed. :lmao:

Timmie, trust me the hardest part of any operation is anticipating it. Just look around at all the women you know. A large percentage of them have had that particular surgery and are doing well. The only side effect that is bad, at your age, is not nearly as bad because of your fabulous disposition. You would be a wonderful adoptive mother, if it should come to that. You exude love. I am marking my calendar and will be keeping you in my thoughts that particular day.

Pooh, have you blinded anyone with your new ring yet? :thumbsup2

no no sorry to disappoint everyone I bought myself a huge amethest ring with 3 diamonds on each side. Here is the store behind it, I went into get my other ring fixed and they told me it was going to be 250 all together to have everything done on the ring that it needed (prongs fixed, reset, diamonds reset, and gold added to the bottom of the ring) so it was cheaper for me to buy a new ring and keep the old one for a keepsake but alass I wish it were the other RING!!!!

Yup, the World Series begins tonight! :woohoo: Let the sleepless nights begin again! :scared1: :rotfl2:

You're still trying to get the overcharge on your AP's fixed, wow, that stinks!

Poohbear67, oops. I thought you had posted on her about the ring you bought yourself. I think that the best kind. You get exactly what you want, you do not owe anyone anything for it and no matter what happens you get to keep it! :rotfl2: I hope you get that AP thing fixed. The small things frustrate the most and we have far more important things to do (plan your next vacation) than this!

wic0721, I am thrilled that the World Series starts tonight. I will have far more time for reading! Please let me know who wins in case my grandson wants to talk about it? :confused3

Off to go find something new to laugh at. I am packing up the truck to take the dump Saturday so that should be fodder for the mill.

So what team did your grandson tell you to root for SG???

I will keep you updated though, this way you can make your grandson think you actually watched the games....I'll give you all the highlights! :rotfl2:

ooohhh a trip to the dump, sounds like a good time for all! :rotfl: I remember my dad taking me with him to the dump when I was little, my dad also took my neice with him to the dump and made her throw her baby bottle into the pile, there was one bottle she just would not give up...and my sister asked my dad for help! Nothing like making grampy the bad guy for a day! :rolleyes1

wic0721, my youngest grandson is not much of a phone person so I have not heard from him lately. They have a half day of school today and his big brother is going to pick up his learner's permit and will undoubtly want to drive home so I figure I will get a phone call shortly with Dalton begging to come here so he does not have to ride with him though. I am not privy to the family info except what the older boy tells me on our phone calls (No, I do not pry nor encourage any telling of real family secrets). I hope YOUR team wins, whatever it may be.

Gee, all this time I have been out shopping for the most special sippy cup I could find to facilitate the transfer from bottle to cup. Guess grandmas are different than grandads though. I did potty train all my grandkids. See, I do have talents!!! :dance3:

Gotta get the truck emptied so I can get the mulch for the gardens. My husband is irritated with me cause I am thinking of cancelling our December trip because I am so overworked. He cannot figure out why I cannot get it all done. I am older now, that is why!!! Old and slow and sick (and tired).

Tell your husband to help you out with the yardwork, and trash runs....and maybe then you'll be able to go on vacation in December.

Oh yeah, my team is the Red Sox! :woohoo:

Gee, Wic, ja think that ever occurred to me? I swear these examples are real.

One time I tried to MAKE him vacumn and he accidentally dropped the vacumn down the stairs and broke it.

Another time I needed the front porch light fixture cleaned. It had bugs on it so he knocked it on the concrete floor to get them off. Surprise, it broke.

He has forgotten to pick me up at the hospital when I was in after nearly dying.

He has refused to bring me a drink of water when I was bedridden on the grounds that he is a man and does not do 'housework'.

I could tell more stories but it would go from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Since he will offer to bring me a drink etc. if we have company I think that the next DIS meet we have we should ALL ask him very sweetly to get us a drink, one at a time, all night long. Then he might see what my days are like. :lmao:

Honestly he is truly incapable of doing some things but many others he could do, as I have seen, if he wanted to. It is perplexing exactly where the line is and since he is not able to change I am contemplating writing a book about my marriage and making millions of dollars making people laugh at what they think are my 'jokes'. :coffee:

I could then hire someone to take care of him and we would be both be in a perfect marriage.
