HI EVERYONE! (BEAR WITH ME FOR THIS IS THE FIRST TIME DOING THIS!)

I AM HOPING TO START UP A LINK TO GET A FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE GOING FOR OUR CRUISE SEPTEMBER 19, 2013!!!

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS A FE YOU ASK?
We participated in our first FE our last Cruise this past September, and let me tell you how much fun this was!!! Our children loved arriving back to the room to find these fun gifts all that were AMAZING AND CREATIVE gifts, or a representation of the giver

A FISH EXTENDER IS:
a FAMILY FUN activity that involves either buying (ebay has great options-and if you search the board there may be several links) or making an organizer with pockets and hanging it from your room Fish Extender that is located right out side your cabin door. Once the cruise is underway the Fun begins! you will be given a list of participants, and you place and recieve little presents in the pockets. We got gifts from other countries representing the family giving, CDs with amazing cruise music, homemade cozies, magnets that people made...you name it we got it! It was Christmas and Trick or Treating all in One!!

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE FUN please post the following:
***DISboard Username
***Cabin # if you already know it, you may update it later if "pixie Dust" upgrades your room!
***First Names of the people in your room-please include the AGES and GENDER or children. Some of the super creative people like to personalize items.
example:
you may place DS 8 darling son, DD 10 darling daughter, DH, DW, SO etc
AND THEIR FIRST NAMES...
GUIDELINES:
***At least 1 gift per cabin that is participating on your designated list. You may also do a gift for each person if desired, or just the kids, your choice.
***All gifts are to be delivered between the day we leave Port September 19th to September 21 at 4pm, this will allow time for all those gift to be packed and ready to enjoy at home.
***You may leave a tag with your name if you would like in the bags.

This FE link may close if it gets too large, this will allow anyone traveling in advance to finish their gifts and pack with out worry!Zip Ties are recommended, there have been reports of FE's taking off. IF THIS GROUP CLOSES DUE TO SIZE I WILL STATE THAT SO YOU MAY START ANOTHER LINK FOR FUN!


I have also started a "group " on FB DISNEY DREAM SEPTEMBER 19TH 2013 I have posted pictures of our past cruise and FE gifts...it will be fun to share the excitement & countdown to the Cruise this is a closed group for only those on our cruise..

I am sure more people will join. Our Alaska meet has been very quiet as well. We sailed on the Dream in the past and had a great time. I will let you know when we are officially booked.

I've read about formal/semi-formal and pirate nights on these boards. Do the three night cruises participate in any of these? I am wondering about what I'll need to pack for dinner, especially for the kids.

3 night cruises have a semi formal night. You will see a range of people dressy and not so dressy. I wore business dress clothes threw a tiara on my head and said I am formal. DH wore dress slacks, shirt and tie. Yes there is a pirate night. According to my TA it is on the second night, at least that is what Disney told her. Again you will see a wide range of dress on this night. You will see full pirate costumes to pirate t-shirts to nothing. I say do what you are comfortable with and what will make it magical for you. Our first cruise we went all out with a full costume. Our next ones got paired down to a special t-shirt. Not sure what we will do on this one. I guess I will see what my family wants to do. Hope this helped.

Hello, All!

Lot's of Disney excitement going on here and we are so excited to be involved! My name is Jodie and this will be my family's first trip on a Disney cruise. I will be traveling with my husband Patric and our son, Cameron. I am a planner and a reader and that's how I became familiar with the fish extender program. Sounds fun and we want to be involved! I do not have a state room number to provide yet but will be able to do that soon. So.....it would be my husband and our DS who is 4 and will turn 5 during the trip! Please let me know if I need to know or do something additional or different. Thanks so much! We cannot wait to sail!!!
