Hi! I just joined this board. We just got back from a sailing on the Magic with the exact same itinerary. This sailing works for us because of a school break, and my husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. I don't think I can PM yet because I don't have enough posts. But I think we would enjoy participating in the FE. I can provide more information a bit later when I can PM - or maybe I can to respond to a PM if someone sends one to me? Not sure how that works. There are six of us traveling: three adults (my husband and I, and our wonderful child care provider) and our three kids, aged 6, 5, and 5. We will be in two staterooms, but may just use one FE. Looking forward to September!

This is our 4th DCL and 2nd time on the Fantasy.
At the time of the Cruise our son will be 7 and daughter 3 and a half.

Is it too early to start packing?

Hi! My family is booked on this cruise! We just booked this week. It is our first Disney sailing- I had NO IDEA these vacations booked so early!! WOW! While I am not a completely "last minute" person, I do tend to wait awhile when planning vacays. Learned my lesson on this one! No big deal though! We are on and that's what matters! My traveling family consists of myself (Michelle), my husband (Robbie), and our daughters Abby (7) and Mattie (5). The girls are VERY excited about the trip! We are from Chesterfield, VA (just outside of Richmond). It is freezing cold right now and I am dying for warmer weather! I am doing plenty of research and just learned about FE so we will be signing up for that! Any additional tips/advice you may have about cruising with Disney will be more than welcome! I may not be an early "booker" but I am all about being prepared!! Thanks!

Hi everyone, Like everyone else we are excited to be going on a Disney Cruise! We are a Family of 4 with a son age 4 and daughter age 1.5 at the time of the cruise. We are also bringing along a set of Grandparents (who will be in the cabin next door, how convenient). This will be our first Disney Cruise but have cruised on other lines before. I love to do research and learn all there is know before I go on vacation as I find that helps me enjoy my time more. My wife is the complete opposite and will not start thinking about anything until about a week before the vacation. She loves the spontaniety of travel and it takes me months of prep work to give her that (love you honey if you happen to see this in the week before we leave). Have already signed up for the FE, i have seen two threads on here organizing it but went with the latest one. Can't wait to start planning to decorate our door and that is probably where I will get my involved earlier than she normally would as she will want the FE and door to perfect. Look forward to reading everyone thoughts, tips and ideas on this thread.

If you are interested in the FE - send me the information from Post #80 in a message. We're going to close it about 2 months out from the cruise and will probably have a late comer FE as well.

Names (ages and/or age ranges)
Allergies
Celebrations
Favorite characters, colors, or things you want everyone to know
Do you prefer a big group or small group
and an email address to send the list to.

This is our 2nd Cruise with DCL (after booking on our Dream vacation 2 years ago!!!). You may not be an "early booker", but if you are having fun onboard, be prepared - you can book your next one - 10% discount, OBC and only have to put like 10% down. If you aren't sure when you want to go, you just give them the latest date available and can change it (to earlier or later) AND you still get the benefits!!!!
Be prepared to be pampered. My kids are all excited to be going back on board! They even had said they would do a DCL cruise over WDW, so you know they had fun the first go round!
Don't get worried about FE - just do what you want - there are NO rules or Expectations. I know from looking at Pinterest and others that there are some really crafty and "over the top" gifts. Just do what suits you and your family! It's the THOUGHT that Counts! We did FE on our first cruise - thought the suitcase full would be almost empty on the way back, but I was wrong...it was FULL!

Hello everyone! We will be sailing with y'all. this will be our 5th Disney cruise. our kiddos will be DS 12 & DD 10. We definitely want to take part in the FE exchange again! i'm hoping for a lot of participants as it makes it so much more fun to get lots of goodies each day! Did we loose a bunch of people who originally signed up for FE? is that what i gathered from reading prior posts? We are freezing up here in upstate NY, so this cruise isn't coming soon enough for us! I've been itching to get started on making FE gifts to help pass the time, so i figured i'd better get on here & say hello to everyone!

I must say that i am a bit disappointed with the inactivity of our group. i know that a ton of people moved on to a FB page contrary to the rules. i am hoping that there are still a bunch of rule-followers left here! I was really hoping to chat with you all before we cruise. on my prior cruises, very early on, we had an accessible running list of all the FE participants so we could get started on gifts, knowing everyone's names, who likes what and being able to taylor-make gifts. Where is everyone?
