Hey, that's my picture. Of my fish extender. Cool. :cool1:

Didn't Debbie (EpcotKilterFan) find these somewhere and gave them as a sailaway gift?
Fish Extender

That is correct and believe you me, she has been looking for them ever sense !!

They have sold on ebay from time to time.
but think they may have been a discontinued item.
She did get them at the local discount store. :( pixiedust:

Got the hurricanes mixed - red beans and rice are cooking and the creole shrimp is ready to go on - stopped to check my email and look what I got from the travel agent -

"Disney Cruise Line released Florida Resident Discount rates for the 11-night sailing on September 17, 2006. I was able to obtain the discount on your reservation." I saved $580 on a cat 10. Surprised they are releasing the rates this early. The ship must not be too full. :confused3 Maybe I'll have to look into a nicer cabin - or maybe I should save my money for the European cruise. :scratchin

I figure we might have a chance at a Cat 1 upgrade. LOL

Any advice on transportation FROM the Orlando airport to WDW property hotels? Fleetwood Transportatoin quoted $54 per-5/persons... sounds good, anyone used them before? Reliable? Terrible?

ALSO, does DCL have transportation from the WDW hotels to the cruise terminal and back to the WDW hotels?

Sandy,
We have used Florida Town Car on one occasion and Disney transport on two occasions. The price you were quoted sounds pretty darn good. I think Disney transport has gotten pretty expensive.

The last several cruises we rent a car and drop off at the port and pick up one afterwards. We do this because we are staying at a DVC resort and need to make a grocery run. We use Avis and they have a shuttle from their office to the port.

Thanks Scott
I thought of renting a car, but there are 6 of us (so far) maybe 8... we are arriving on Friday 16th staying at Shades of Green on WDW property thru to 10/1 so we will need transportation BACK to Shades of Green after the cruise. Still may have to do that... but $54 for 5 ppl sounds real good to me.

For those that are interested I have bought some material and have gotten the measurements, etc. to try and make a fish extender. :cool1: pixiedust: I don't think it will be too hard once the first one is made :scratchin  so I will probably be willing to make some for those who would want them. If I do I should also be able to personalize them. Will let everyone know how mine turns out. :goodvibes

Sandy

Yahoo, my travel agent called this afternoon and told me that Disney has released the Florida resident rates for the 11 day cruise. My cabin has now decreased in cost by a little over $500.

That is great you FL residents are getting a good rate. I hope to be able to get the FL res Rate in about 65 weeks, 64 weeks as of this Friday.

Funny I seem to recall that when they announced these cruises DCL said something to the effect that there would be no special rates for the 10 and 11 day, I agree that the ships might not be that full. I am still holding out for the Cat 1 upgrade.

Scott, :scratchin We are hoping to Get them for this Cruise !!! :coffee:

I Happen to know that the only Chance we had to get in the Cat 1 Has left the Ship !!! Right K, and they seem to be taken one was a family on the August Repo . and the other im not sure !! :lmao:

Someone help me please. What is that thing at Palo called where they have a buffet lunch and they have watermelon with the ships name carved in it. I think they have seafood too. My husband saw a picture of it last time and wanted to go, but we never made it. I would love to book that for us as soon as it becomes available. But I don't know what it was called. is it just Brunch at Palo or something?? :confused3 Hygiene or Scott...one of you guys has to know. :worship:

Yup, Peter I know about the one Cat 1 that was vacated and what a nice thing it would be if DCL just decided to put us in there. Yeah Right ……. :teeth:

I do wonder if they might drop the DVC points, doubt it but that would be nice, then I might upgrade. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Brandy, I must defer the Palo question to Peter, He is the pro there, :worship: he seems to get about 20 reservations for a three day cruise, heck he is on a first name basis with most of the servers. OK I was kidding about the 20 reservations but not the first name basis. :lmao: :lmao:

I can say both Brunch and dining at Palo are pretty darn nice. THere is also a High Tea that is offered. This tea is different than the tea offered at Bomba's Shack on the full moon night on Tortola in the BVI. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:coffee: :teeth:

Palo Champagne Brunch .... EP I sent you a PM..

We did mange to dine at Palo several times :lmao:
on the Repo Cruise. :lmao: :lmao:
