We are in Heber City, UT, getting ready to dive in a couple of hours. Lynn is taking a nap so I am here in the hotel lobby quietly making noise. She worked a grave last night.

How funny is this...tonight on the Amazing Race they were in Heber City and Salt Lake City Utah and the family that arrived at the pit stop first won a trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming!!!!!!!

:rotfl: I was thinking of Scott when I heard what the prize was!

Debbie

I wish the prize was to house sit our pups while we are at WDW. I don't think most folks would see that as a winning prize, actually fear factor comes to mind, or the movie Snow Dogs is more on point.

Good morning all! I just got back from the grocery store- it is hard to believe that food for 3 people for one day can cost so much! YIKES! :rotfl2:

We had a great time this weekend with Tracy and Bill. Noah really liked them both- he kept on giving rotating hugs...Robb, Celeste, Bill, and Tracy. Over and over and over....

I enjoyed the DVC meet- they mentioned a summer golf pass for unlimited golf for 149- does anyone know anything about this?

Peter you asked about the Grand villas at the Boardwalk- the time before the cruise happens to be "adventure" season which is the lowest for points- only a mere 558 points for one week. :earseek:

I hope everyone has a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. Hopefully Robb will make it back from Spain tonight.

That's all. lol

My body is at work but my mind is on vacation. Got all my admin stuff done for the month, just have a meeting at 4:00. Then it is time to do the vacation dance.

We're hopefully coming in on Saturday (knock on wood). We'll be staying at least a couple days after, going home on the 30th or 1st. Most likely the 30th because we will have been gone 3 weeks

Is it time to go home yet? Almost!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends! The rest of you just have a great day tomorrow!!

Tracy

We will be coming in a day or two before the cruise. Staying in Kissimmee.

Mom and I are flying in on Saturday and staying at the Orlando Airport Hyatt. I think we may rent a car and visit WDW and all the pre-cruise parties.

To all our American DisBoard friends.....Mom and I want to wish you all

Now back to the kitchen.........

Hope that everyone had a great day yesterday.

Hope everyone had a great holiday :grouphug: !

No turkey for us yesterday, we ate from the land. Made patties from breadfruit we picked off our tree, had tangerines from our neighbor's tree and pineapple and coconut from the local store. Popped popcorn too to stick with tradition :earboy2: . Walked on the beach afterwards to help it all digest. I don't want to ever move away from the islands :lovestruc . Don't feel too sorry for my DH though, he had turkey and ham at work on Wed.

My husband misses the cold and the change of seasons, not me :cold: ! Our company just left after staying with us over a week (my parents). We have more family arriving in a couple of weeks and won't have the house to ourselves for over a month! It is much easier to get relatives to come to Hawaii than Guam :rotfl: .

I skimmed over the last few pages here, trying not to miss stuff but I probably have. Looking forward to the newsletter so I can catch up. We are off to see Santa today, think I will put up the tree today too. Catch you all later....

Hi Heidi! Our Wisconsin Badgers are playing football today in Hawaii. Would have loved to go to see the game. The one thing you missed is sending me information about yourself, so I can put it in the Getting to Know your Fellow Cruisers section of the newsletter. :goodvibes

Don't know about everyone else, but we had a good day yesterday. My stomach is still full. Shame on me. :rotfl2:

Now today.....the gods' payback. Day after thanksgiving shopping :scared1:
Wasn't too bad. Saw a lot of neat stuff.
Saw Scott and Elaine's Disney Mix Stix. Cute little thingies. Accesories look real handy also.
Looked at a lot of disney Princess items. Didn't know they made all of that stuff.
Got a bunch of shopping done and made the trip back home o.k. Just in time for the weekend. Woo Hoo.

We flew to Eugene for the game against OSU. Boy was it alot colder than the nice 80 degree weather we have in Phoenix. The fog was amazing, but we have friends with "donor" seats and well the view was very nice. Moved up ahead of Notre Dame in the BCS poll, but that doesn't really matter. Have to just be happy with a 10-1 season - actually we are thrilled with the year we have had. We can just cross our fingers and hope that the Ducks will receive the BCS bowl they deserve and have earned. How a team with 2 losses can be chosen above them is a mystery. Especially when our only loss is to the two time defending National Champs (soon to be three time). We are used to it after having the same thing happen in 2001. We should have played for the National Championship but Nebreska went instead. Oregon just doesn't get the respect that a ND or Ohio State has. Maybe another few 10-1 seasons and we will get our due.

Doesn't matter - it's great to be a Duck!

Pulling for the Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl, but it doesn't look good. I was in South Bend the last two days and the talk there is the irish will be in the Fiesta Bowl with Virginia Tech (or Penn State). I agree with you that the teams that with 1 loss should get picked for bowl games before the 2 loss teams and so on. You'd think that the fiesta/network people would have a west coast team as one of the participants. Since SC will beat UCLA (what happened to those guys?)that would put them in the rose bowl. That, by all good reasoning would put a one loss Oregon team against another one loss team such as Penn State or Virginia Tech. But then, ND has a lot of pull. Good Luck Ducks!
