Thankfully the rain is over - unfortunetely I have 2 leaks in my roof - waiting for the handyman to come. I have no clue about my basement - havent been brave enough to venture down yet...

One of the leaks is on a roof that is relatively new - less than 6 years - the other leak is on a flat roof - always going to be a problem but thought we had it resolved 2 years ago. andy said maybe it is the gutters - hope so since it probably would be cheaper....Our handyman is very honest and does not rip people off that is why we dont mind calling him and waiting a little bit. Today he is at my sisters doing basement/tiling work. Say a prayer it is a cheap expense....

Arlene & Andy ... Boy I feel for your guys. Nothing worse than a leak just when the weather is turning cold. Hope it's not affecting your heat. BTW when that honest handyman comes .... you may want to give him a box of candy or something extra cause it's a miracle these days to have someone like that.

We have been lucky here. The weather has been unseasonally warm! Haven't had to turn on the heater yet, although Robert has tried a couple of times! I keep telling him to get dressed and then he won't be cold!

Yay !!! Finally able to get online after hurricane WIlma destroyed south fla I dont have power yet but boss does. Down here in south florida we are very lucky for it to be somewhat cool. Hoping my power will be on soon.

Actually we are doing very well and our property didnt really recieve any damage except for down trees and a missing satalite dish. Thanks for asking. Alot of people here are still without any power, grocery stores, and even gas stations have no power so we cant really get gas but other than that we are doing fine. I was just going through a little DIS withdraw

Hey everyone we finally got power back at 10pm last night. No damage to our home. We were further north from the eye of the storm and thankfully only saw winds of 80 miles with gusts to 100. Not too bad after Frances and Jeanne last year.

I hope everyone else from the boards who live in FLA did okay.

CHESSA: How old are your DDs? We have a DD who will be 15 and DS who will be 16 at time of sailing.

hey, i'm chessa's daughter, and i'm 15 now, will be 16 at the time of sailing, my little sister will be (my nightmare j/k ) will be 9.

Mike I love your avatar! Glad to hear our cruisers from Florida are doing well. Hope power is restored soon.

Back to cleaning the house. Don't you hate it when you start a little project and it escalates into a huge chore? I just wanted to put a couple things away upstairs and now I've taken everything out of the bathroom drawers and the hall closet! My 15 minute project has turned into a 3 hour chore!

It's official. We are cancelling this cruise. We have been debating for over a month on what to do. With the hurricane season and seasickness that comes with it, it seemed like a logical choice. We waited for the 2007 schedule to come out with new itinieraries..but we all know how that turned out.

So if there is anyone out there who would like a catagory 10 connecting room (2073 and 2071) it will be opening up soon. (On hold right now to cancel).

We'll miss this trip with you guys, but still hope you have a wonderful time! I'll be waiting for your live trip reports green with envy (spelling?)..though I'd rather been green with envy, than green with seasickness

Welcome Chessa ... I know you will enjoy this cruise and it's especially fun when you can "meet" some of us beforehand.

Bummer Deb ... Sorry you are cancelling BUT can understand if you are afraid of getting seasick. Maybe some other time we'll meet up.

How about SURVIVOR last night!!! Just how quickly can they move the "pool" from one camp to the other? I believe that they got it as a reward and Jeff said that they would move everything over to the merged tribe location.

Thanks Peter and Goofy Nut for your well wishes. We decided to spend a couple weeks at WDW instead of the cruise. Took the deposit money and paid for our airline tickets and 2 nights of hotel. Use our DVC points for the rest of the time. So it was a better use of money for us

Still hoping for the special intinerary to come out for 2007. Hope it will come out in Spring time as rumor has it now
