Really been warm here in LA - We are still getting the Santa Ana winds, which has been keeping it close to 100 degrees. Thankfully, the winds shifted again, and it is going to be a lot cooler. We are taking my brother and his family to Disneyland today - it will be his kids' first visit to Mickey's house.

Aw, that's so cute! I love watching the little kids faces light up. I hope that you have a ball.

It's raining so much here that I swear the animals are lining up two by two.

Hey Regina, it's going to be nicer today. Yes it is. Yea.
(You gotta believe)

Scott, just seen Jackson Hole on the Weather Channel. Looks so much nicer when it's not a monsoon. :umbrella:

Niagara Falls today.

Just wanted to say good morning. I've been really well behaved and have been studying. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Everyone! :wave2: I also have been very good, as well as very busy here packing up my life for my big move. The moving company is coming on Friday, and I am following down to Florida on Sunday. As of Sunday October 16th, I will no longer be a Connecticut resident, I will be a Florida resident! Oh boy, am I nervous about a move of this size....everyone wish me luck! I'll check in when I can, but I imagine I will be very busy unpacking and job hunting!

Robin

BobandLee, I don't know if the sun is going to come out, but at least the torrential rain stopped. I know that we needed it, but not all at once. :scared:

Robin, I wish you the best of everything as you start this new adventure. I hope that it brings you more happiness than you ever imagined possible. :flower:

.....

But your could have waited another week couldn't you? :confused3

Actually, the rain stayed away long enough for us to visit the falls. Beautiful. First for me. Then a little shopping. Nice surprise...the Seneca Niagara Casino. Won enough to buy Lee a souvenier and pay for my Hard Rock shirt.
We are planning the rest of the week as we go. Hopefully making it to Boston and Uncasville :smooth: .

One more week until we can use our points for the cruise. Woo Hoo.

Everyone have a great week.

Did they announce the points yet?

Robin, if I were you I would be pretty darn excited, good for you I say.

We are in Pocatello, Idaho, tonight, last night and should be home by early afternoon tomorrow. Back to the grind. Well untill Turkey Day then to WDW.

No.....but they said they would know by next monday(the 17th).....if not before :confused3
anyway, i'm sure that the points will be along the lines of other cruises of that time of year and allowing for 11 vs 7 days and all.

That's good to hear, will have to place a call for sure. Thanks Bob

Hello guys! Anyone here have any speculations as to when disney will put up the excursions that will be available??? I have done research on booking my own but thought it might be better to go with them. :wave2:

Got home and called DVC reference the 11 day cruise and here are the points.

Cat 4 – 429
Cat 5 – 360
Cat 6 – 352
Cat 7 – 332
Cat 8 – 270
Cat 9 – 249
Cat 10 – 235
Cat 11 – 224

Getting ready to dial in on Monday the 17th.

No word on excursions, I would guess at about the six month window, but could be wrong.

Hi all :flower: ! Now I can get down to business dreaming about our DCL cruise.

We just got home on Sat. from our NCL POAM cruise around the islands. It was so nice to just have a half hour drive to the port from home, no flying involved. It wasn't DCL, but it was a cruise and I really enjoy cruising :lovestruc .

I think I missed a few welcomes and events.

Skylarr/Melissa - welcome to the group and your first Disney Cruise. You are travelling with some veterans with this group. Let us know if you need any help.

I just found out the Disneyland Candlelight Processional host is Dick Van ****. I wonder if Julie Andrews will be there since she is the Honorary Ambassador this year. A Mary Poppins reunion? I am even more excited.
As soon as dinner package information is released I will let everyone know.

Looks like we found a censored word :rotfl2: A Mary Poppins reunion would be cool (or as Scott says KEWL!)! I wish I could go to DL! Unfortunately, my boss thinks I should be at work more than on vacation :confused3 I just realized it's less than 11 months until I leave for Florida and just a little over two months until we go to Boston. Anyone have any ideas what we should do in Boston :goodvibes

Yes, that Tink is such a potty mouth. ::yes:: If you think this is bad, you should have heard what was coming out of her mouth over dinner. :teeth:

Boston in December? You should be climbing the snowbanks. :cold:

We just left Boston. Mainly took one of those tour trolleys. Saw the USS Constitution, Bunker Hill, Boston Commons, Cheer's Bar (Finch and Bull) and the Quincy Marketplace.
We really needed more time. Lots of history, but we wanted to head a little more north before we started back west. Like to have seen the Harbor, the Aquarium, and the downtown area-the Union Oyster house would have been another nice stop.
If you are driving, have a lot of patience. Lots of construction downtown with the BigDig/I93 going on. But then if you've driven the tri-state in chicago, you'll have no problem. :)

Hi all we have Been Busy!!

Having house Guests and We went to NYC for the Holiday Weekend Had a great time with Eric and Anja and Jeanne and John. They were just the best tour guides for us. We never would have figured out the subway system if it wasn't for them! Our house guests are out and about today. I think they were going to Salem to see all the witch stuff. They seem to be enjoying their stay.Ok... goodnight to all... Pete has to work 11pm to 7am for the next week, so he may not be posting much this week.
