Yes, the first weekend in December. I was hoping for a Candlelight Processional Dinner Package like they have offered the last few years. No information has been made available yet.

Thanks Leslie. I have made all my reservations. Air, hotel, car and Crustal Cathedral. The only think I have left to do is pick up my tickets to The Parks and dinner reservations for Candlelight Processional. I am not going to tell Heather until we go. (It is hard keeping a Disney secret.)

Actually, one of Leslie's BS's is in Biology (Don't ask, she is kind of intelligent). She also teaches an Anatomy and Physiology class here at a local college. She could be of some help.

Tell me, what does cellular biology have to do with nursing? :confused3 Amino acids, reverse transcripase, golgi bodies....the only thing I have found applicable is how the receptors in the brain can be altered by medicaton due to medicaiton and illicit drugs being manufactured to be accepted at such sites.

Anyways.....I passed my ACLS :flower:
This means I get to restart people's hearts for another two years. :rotfl2:
Last night I kept on dreaming test situations....shock at 200, everybody clear?, shock at 300, everybody clear, shock at 360, everybody clear? :guilty:

Now I just need to pass my midterm.....two tests down- one to go.

Yes, I know I am a geek. ;)

Hola everyone!!

Just checking in...Celeste...keep up the good work! :cheer2: I know who to come to if I need my heart restarted! Celeste!!!

Congratulations to Ken on his bike ride last week. I loved reading your daily updates...it made me want to join you next year, but I know I had better start training now! :rotfl:

Glad you had a fun in Vegas, Scott and Lynn!

Tracy...I loved the newsletter...keep up the good work!

Am I missing anyone? If I am....sorry! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hasta luego mis amigos!

Okay, panic is starting to set in. DD's wedding is 36 days away and I'm stressing. This cruise is way too far off to distract me.

At least I'll have a killer new gown for formal night. :teeth:

Show here in Las Vegas has been good, bought some stuff that will be useful.

To night I am going to try and win our new retirement account. LOL if we hit it really big we are all going on a private cruise.

Oh I forgot, Living Seas folks are doing better. There is a group deal for Dive Quest.

Here is the scoop. For $1000 you get the tank for a session at 6:30 PM. You can have up to 12 divers in the session, there is no minimum. Regular price is $140 per person. So there is a great savings to be had with this deal.

Sadly they will not combine the SASA and Dive Quest programs together. I asked about doing this, so uncertified persons could participate. It is a manpower issue for them.

How many Certified folks do we have that might be interested in either before or after the cruise?

You can count Shari and I in. We are thinking about staying a few days after the cruise instead of coming in early before the cruise.

Hi Laurie

Thanks for your support! We love to have new people join the ride. If you start training now, you'll be over trained. And remember, it's all down hill from San Francisco to LA - just look at any map - so it's no problem.

I might be interested- dependent on a few things....I could probably become certified by then. I would have to check on a few things.

Scary day today. DH called this morning and said there was a strong possibility he would be leaving for Afghanistan on Monday. DH is AirForce, but this particular trip called for him to work w/ the Army and escort convoys...for six months after one month's training...didn't sound safe to me. DH called this afternoon, looks like they picked someone else. What a relief...for us.

Count DH in on any scuba thing...we're staying after for this cruise. I told DH I'm sick of going from the ship to the airport...I need to be eased into the home thing.

Well while walking by a booth for Abaco Dive Adventures I noticed they had a 50th calendar, and commented to a gentleman sitting there at the booth. He said that he got the calendar as a retirement gift from Disney after 35 years. His name is Wayne Mitchell and he helped develop Castaway Cay. Here are a few things I learned: There was a dive program at CC for a very short time, (three weeks) it ended because Mom did not want to be left along while Dad went diving leaving her with the kids. There are some great dive sites just to the west of the dock, along the break water, and there is an other sunken 20K leagues sub out there in about 40’ of water. He also is the owner of the glass bottom boat tour offered at CC. He said to ask the Glass Bottom boat Captain to take you to the Sub. Visibility is not always good. He said he sunk it there in hopes of making it a dive site. That would be a fun dive.

He also developed the Diving Mickey for the Living Seas. A special Dive Program and equipment was developed. He shared a couple of secrets as to the equipment used, pretty interesting.

Sounds like we have about six folks maybe interested in a Dive Quest experience, we will see as time gets closer. Could be fun.

Oh I also forgot we were the lucky bidders in a fundraising auction for a trip to Grand Cayman.

Sounds like you are having a great time Scott! If you want me to put something in the next newsletter for the dive, let me know and maybe in no time you'll get a full group. :fish:

Tracy

Good idea Tracy, Will do. Remind me as life will get busy here when we get home.

Good Morning All.
Just checking in. :cold: Chilly here this morning. Should head where it's warm.
BUT, we are heading toward New England. No definite plans. Just driving out that way and see what comes to view. Lee wants to go to Boston and I want to see the Mohegan Sun Casino. Then there are always the diners out that way. Any other must see things?

Everyone have a great weekend.

BobandLee, you're picking a rainy week to visit New England. I live close to CT and the leaves haven't turned as much as usual for this time of year. Hopefully, you'll get some sun and see some foliage, but it's not looking good. More time to win tons of money at Mohegan Sun. :teeth:

Wide Awake, that must have been nerve wracking. I'm so glad that your DH isn't bound for Afghanistan.

Scott, they'd have to pay me to get back on the glass bottom boat. It gives new definition to B-0-R-I-N-G. :faint:

The dive sounds fantastic, but I think I'm a bit too old to start a new hobby like this. (Not to mention the thought of getting into a wetsuit. :scared1: )

Really been warm here in LA - We are still getting the Santa Ana winds, which has been keeping it close to 100 degrees. Thankfully, the winds shifted again, and it is going to be a lot cooler. We are taking my brother and his family to Disneyland today - it will be his kids' first visit to Mickey's house.

Scott - the DiveQuest idea sounds cool. Ken, Shari, Leslie and I are all working on Adrienne on getting certified by then, so hopefully she'll be able to join you. Unfortunately for me, my neuro doc just reiterated that diving is 'not an approved activity', so I'll get to watch from the windows.

Safe travels to all that are on the move this weekend. It has finally cooled off a little here. Looking forward to seeing the new ports of call on this cruise. Mike
