Heber City, I know where that is.....where are going to dive there? If I was to move back to Utah, I would want to live in Park City or Heber City- OR Alpine. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for houses though.

Peter- 6am tomorrow huh- I'll be joining you. I work from 7am to 7:30pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week. I'll be pretty loopy by Thursday night. I'll be up by 4:45 am and to bed by 9:00 pm every day until Friday. (Sounds like Jen and the girls are having fun!)

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I'll try to check in sometime in the next few days from work.

TTFN

Here is WHY DVC is having the party- looks like they are having a HUGE Disney weekend in Chicago next weekend!

The magnificent mile festival of lights!

I am on call Saturday until 3pm- maybe Noah and I will head into the city to see the lighting ceremony at 6pm and stay in town? Looks like fun!

Well it is 0600ish here and I have been geeting gear together for todays dives. We start at 9ish. Then a bunch of paperwork and a short 5 hour dive home. Then clean up the gear, fill the tanks and get ready for work tomorrow. The day will be long.

Yes Celeste it seems like realestate here is $$$$$$$$ just like Jackson, WY. I thought this area would have died off after the Olympics, but it seems to be going fairly strong. We actually dive at Homestead Crater located a couple of miles from Heber City. Water temp was 92. I like that.

Peter better get some OT in to help pay for part of that 5-girl tab.

Cinnamon Bun are on here at the Holiday Inn Express. I think they are pretty gross, will stick with some oatmeal and toast. TTFN

....
I don't know which I like best.... Y'all or Youse. :)
I guess 'Youse' sounds more quaint since I here Y'all more around here.
Of course then there's "Eh" that one would hear north of the border. :)

Too bad that is next weekend and not this one. We enjoy going to Chicago and the magnificent mile is great. Haven't been for a couple of years. And Lee always likes going to the Walnut Room at Marshall Fields. Me, I like a little of everything. Just make sure I get the chicago mix just before we get back on the train. mmmmmm. :earboy2:

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY
I'm going out and enjoy it before the weather turns cold again. :cold:

What would be great is a warm CinnaBon with a hot cup of coffee.

Scott H. please tell me where in the World This Is !! Lat/Lon: 26.8° N 77.3° W :sunny:

How bout them Oregon Ducks!!!

9 wins on the season with only one loss to the hated Trojans of USC.

One more game left to win before we are on to the Fiesta Bowl - - fingers crossed, it would be a short drive.

Oh, it's only been like 85 degrees all week. Arizona is miserable in the fall/winter.

...My Birthday present from Lynn arrived yesterday and I am starting to play with it. It is the Disney Mixstick. Have not put any music on it yet as am waiting to get the battery charged. Will see how that goes when we get back. One thing I don’t like is that the battery charges via a USB port. I would rather have a replaceable battery. We will see about this feature. Got a 1 gig SD card for it, good deal at Staples. I do like that I could use this for storage of other data, i.e. files and photos.

Here is a question I have. When I RIP a song to download, should I use WMA or MP3?
...... LOL
[in my humble opinion] Assuming the same sampling rate, MP3Pro has the best compression algorithm. Followed by WMA and then MP3. As far as the quality of the sound, that depends on the sampling rate. The higher the rate, the better the sound. However, the higher the sampling rate, the bigger the resulting file and the lower the number of files that you can place on your player.
I don't know which, if any, software that is supplied with the Disney player. So, if all you have is the Windows Media player, then it will only rip CD's to .wma files. Some software will rip to all formats. I use an old version of RealJukeBox which gives me the option of .wma, .mp3 or .wav files (which are much larger and are not suppoprted by many players). I rip to .mp3.
I know that this probably seems confusing, so to sum up....the decision depends on what format(s) the player uses and which format(s) the ripping software uses and the higher the sampling rate, the better the resulting sound.
Does that help any? :confused3

I hope you are right about the Fiesta Bowl. However, I think that due to media/bowl politics, that the Ducks won't make the trip there. The hated Notre Dame, and their alumni $$$$,along with Alabama and Ohio State seem to be the frontrunners. I hope I am wrong. I like the Ducks. I was a big Dan Fouts fan. (shows my age) Besides, you have to love those home uniforms.

Planted with Jenn?

We booked a room for Chicago next Saturday night. Not much to choose from unless we want to spend a fortune. Peter, your double time pay could help now :rotfl2: The link to the holiday lights festival convinced us to go. Can't wait to see Mickey Mouse!

Hi Scott

Don't talk bad about Cinnamon Buns, because weren't you the guy covered in powdered sugar at the Port Orleans the day before our Panama Canal Cruise? :rotfl2:

I booked a room on Expedia at the Medical District Marriott, in Chicago. (Maybe 5 miles from Michigan Avenue?) Anyone who actually lives in Chicago want to tell me how far Ashland and Harrison is from Michigan Avenue.....or maybe Scott will know? It is not that close to downtown- but accessible by public transportation. It also happens to be across the street from the hospital I work at, so I can park there for free.

I'll email you more later....I have to get up in 7 hours.
