well I meant Sangria itself, not the punch recipe you provided....
perhaps Sangria is a combination of various things but specifically I am referring to this big jug of liquid called Sangria made by Carlo Rossi..it says Grape Wine and natural flavors...I was just wondering if and how much sugar it contained...
We are not wine drinkers by nature however I've had a few here and there but don't know squat about any type of wine really....other than there is red and white.....is there a Wine and related drinks for Dummies anywhere?

bluewaves said:Well, I actually used sugar in my Sangria recipe sometimes. I used to use 1/2 cup for 2 quarts made. Now, I try to just use 7up (actually diet 7up) to ease out some of the calories and still add the sweetness.
My original Sangria was - get a 2 quart picture. Pour in a bottle of wine, add about 1/8 cup of brandy, 1/2 cup sugar and then fill to the top with Fruit Punch. Mix it all. then serve over ice. That is a great simple recipe. The cut up fruit - fuhgehtaboudit - that's just for show.![]()
