I found some good stuff. It's called X-Rated. It's Vodka with blood orange, mango and something else tropical. I mix it with 7 up. Ooohh is it good!!!

Where did you find this at?

Hey everyone, How's it going tonight?

Does anyone have a good, tropical, adult beverage punch recipe? I'm throwing my cousin a luau housewarming the week after the cruise and would like to get some input.

Is everyone packed and ready to go? If so you're ahead of me. I have everything bought but it's laying in a big pile!
You probably already have about 10 recipes already! :lmao: But, here is just a simple Sangria recipe to make. I actually call it Sangria Punch. Now, my measurements may be off, because I am one of those people who do "just add this until it reaches consistency" and "add some of this until it gets to the taste".

Bottle (or 2 ;) of red wine
1/2 cup Brandy (peach is best) - or more if you want
Tropical Fruit Punch (2 quarts)
1/4 bottle of 7up (1/4 of a 2 litre, so .5 litres)

Have ice in your punch bowl and just pour the ingredients over it. Then stir it well. Then add cut up fruit into the mixture such as oranges, apples, peaches (especially if you used the Peach brandy), limes, etc.

If it doesn't seem sweet enough, then you can add some sugar, more 7up or punch. I play with this recipe all the time.

do you know if Sangria contains sugar, if so how much per serving? tks

Well, I actually used sugar in my Sangria recipe sometimes. I used to use 1/2 cup for 2 quarts made. Now, I try to just use 7up (actually diet 7up) to ease out some of the calories and still add the sweetness.

My original Sangria was - get a 2 quart picture. Pour in a bottle of wine, add about 1/8 cup of brandy, 1/2 cup sugar and then fill to the top with Fruit Punch. Mix it all. then serve over ice. That is a great simple recipe. The cut up fruit - fuhgehtaboudit - that's just for show. :teeth:

Thankfully I actually don't get typical sea sickness. I get aches and pains all over after sleeping when on a ship, not nausea, etc. But, it was considered sea sickness. It is rare though. I just carry Dramamine with me in case I get the aches and pains at night.
Honestly, I'd have to say that's more of a function of DCL matresses than the motion of the ship. This will only be our 4th cruise (although we'll be doubling our total days sailing with Disney  ) and all 3 previous cruises had uncomfortable beds. Sorry folks, as much as I like DCL, their beds could use some serious improving.
