We recently got a directory of the wineries in our area and I have it packed to bring with me to the wine party....Niagara on the Lake (where a lot of the wineries are located) is a beautiful place to visit - I'm sure you and Kevin would love it....close by Niagara Falls too...or "the gallons of water gushing over a cliff" as we call it!!!!

He would love the scenery for sure but he doesn't like wine at all We have never been to the falls but have always wanted to go. We are permited to travel to Canada, but have never gotten a load there! I'd like to see that list though! I spoke with my aunt a few weeks back and she has a friend that just aquired a winery in Napa Valley. Don't know which one but m aunt is going to visit this fall. I should change my name to WinoCyndi a' la WinoTracy! I could drink any kind of wine of champagne day in and day out. Of course I am quite fond of beer as well

We actually have two Casino's now in the Falls...we walked through the "old" one last weekend....didn't even stop to play the slots....decided to walk through the Casino and use the escalators instead of walking up the Clifton Hill!!!!!

I am amazed at the In and Out phenomenon! The one in Sacramento that we pass all the time is always packed with a line around the block! We went in to see what all the hype was. Imagine my shock when I read the menu and saw nothing but hamburgers. Take away peoples power of choice and they just eat it up! That's got to be the easiest place in the world to take your kids. No arguing, just "shut-up you're getting a burger!"

The Seneca Casino is in Niagara Falls USA, but we have 2 casinos here in Niagara Falls Canada....just across the border by the Falls....the original (older) one - The Niagara Casino and the new one - The Fallsview Casino. We walked through the Niagara Casino and drove by the new one...it looks pretty nice...Vegas style...

Elaine, the falls look beautiful! Don't they give you a poncho for those boat rides though? I sure hope so!

Up and time to get ready to go back to the salt mine for the day. Glad to see that most of you folks went to bed last nite. Only had 4 pages to catch up on this morning.

Looks like it's going to by another great day here in Ohio hope you all have one as well.

G' mornin'!

I'm in my hotel... we have a peek a boo water view - but my spouse is happy... Macy's is downstairs (part of the hotel), International Market is adjacent and the beach across the street. The room seems tolereable - it's spacious but shows a little wear - but otherwise its' a flaming bargain we found on (for our 1st time ever) Ebay. We paid about 20% of the best AAA rate in effect at the time we won the auction! So we're quite happy.

So... the flight was good - and check in was a breeze. They had national guard helping perform gate searches and TSA and AA counter staff had e through the outer security in about 25 minutes... and that's from initially walking into the terminal to exiting X-ray TSA folks. The gate check was pretty extensive though. THAT took a wait for them to search everyone. Most of the overhead carry on bins were empty on the fight!

So... yeah... it's 4AM California time but only 1AM HNL time... the surprise BD is set for 11:30AM local time so I gotta rest up for it. I'm gonna relax a bit and read backwards to my last post at 9200 now.
