OK all - I have been officially sissified (sorry if I offend anyone - believe me I fought this one). We made it to AKL on Wednesday evening, had our staple of SHoney's which we found quite by accident and is only 2 miles from the lodge - but this morning... er mid-morning I woke up to see a giraffe (doesn't that sound funny?) outside my room window. Well I ran to get my camera and stepped outside the balcony and as I was taking a shot thought: "Boy it must be very humid as I'm sweating on my legs already." Good thing I hung my camera around my neck as I swiped at my leg when I came away with black stuff. UGH! Some kind of pincher bug! UGH! Did I mention a little something about me?


I HATE BUGS!!!!!!!

Poor giraffe - I think I scared it and it went rambling off. Needless to say I was rather embarrassed that some little thing totally disarmed me - sticks and stones may do their best but bugs will always get me.

Gosh I can't believe I just admitted that - please no one attempt this - my heart was pounding and I had to come inside and admire from inside only to discover 2 'pincher' bugs inside the curtain right by my face. This time I didn't scream - I got mad and massacred them. Seriously, I annihilated them! Guess there's no getting around that is there? Anyway, this is sad to me because when I was going thru bivwac (sp?) training, they didn't bother me - figured oh well, I'm bigger then they are. They're more scared than I am - I just want to know - what happened to me?

One more day of work to go and we are on our way!

1. mow the grass
2. wash the dog
3. pick some apples (yes we have a tree in back)
4. trip to the bank
5. and a quick soak in the HT

Since almost everyone has stated their travel plans, here's ours.

Leave town tomorrow evening. Staying in Indy. We have a 6 am flight.

After a layover in ATL, we arrive in Orlando at 11. Rental car. Nice liesurely drive to Canaveral. Check in at the Rad. Go to Dinner at Grills. Maybe, (key word there) a quick trip down to Ron Jons.

Sunday, a quick breakfast and head to the Wonder to meet all of the cool Disers.

Will be a great trip. Huricanes seem to want to cicumnavigate the Burmuda High that is present right now. Hopefully, they will continue that track for 2 more weeks.

Well...

... If you've earned a special place in the target sigts of some - I would say you've got company here. I imagine I've taken off the deep end a couple times in the past here... and all I can say wuz I wuz just havin' a little chuckle iz all??? Can't we all just laugh it off and be friends- like?

At any rate, I will now be packing my body armor and guillie suit... just in case.


And on another note... in case anyone notices this footnote here... my main shipment of kids' goodies arrived for the gifts we had in mind. And it's getting out of control here in California. The guy shipped me some WRONG STUFF and SHORTED ME! ARRRrrrrrGGGGH! I still have another 2 orders coming from other suppliers - and they're getting LATE if it don't get here by tomorrow! AAArrrrGggHHhhH!

I have enuf for the kids.. but NOT exactly what I ordered, nor the right quantities. And 1/3rd of it is apparently still in transit.

I don't use this icon very often... but I got ONE day left to get 1/3rd of my stuff for the kids gifts???!?!?

One more day of work.

Cut the grass yesterday and will get the pool ready tomorrow for being gone for two weeks.

We fly out Saturday morning and arrive in Orlando at 3:40pm.
Check in at WDW.
Check in on the score of the Oregon vs Oklahoma game.
Head down for a night at DTD.
Limo is picking us up at 10am on Sunday to head for the "Mickey" boat.

Question is, we are looking to upgrade at port. If we end up doing so, nobody will know where we are. So, we are bringing Oregon Duck magnets for the door.
