I agree with Tracy...when I asked if anyone was up to trying to get to 20,000 posts by the 17th...I was kidding!!!!

When I logged on this morning I had over 20 pages to catch up on....I did skip a lot of posts so if anything important was posted last night or early today that should be on the "Events at a Glance"...let me know.

I know if I was new on the board..or a lurker..I would just give up...

OK...

I'll lay off the goading for 20,000... but you know.... it IS possible. We really did do 5,000 postings in 17 days. SO why not do it again in 14? Now... 25,000 is a virtual impossibility. THough - that too is possible ... but at what price? I agree... it would certainly change the nature of the forum.

SO... let me be the first to say... everyone is hereby restricted to keep it UNDER 18 posts a day. Heh-hee-heh... OK.... maybe that was NOT what we were looking for either.

On a seperate note - my spouse has become less scary - so I am still hangin' around. Just took care of getting the kids a late lunch. When Alicia tried to serve lunch she had little luck and complain such to me. SO - I briefly got in trouble again for heating Chef-Boy-R-Dee ravoli for them. You know - the same old song about procesed food and high fat content. I only snared relief when I commented that I didn't BUY the stuff to begin with... and then it grew earily quiet. Harumph!

SO I left to ween the kids off their uneaten Ravoli in favor of starving them til dinner - and I took it upon myself to do the nobel thing and eat the ravoli myself to spare the children...<burp>.... after adding some "good" pasta sauce from a bottle to it.

And it seems you've now briefly met my spouse. I came by to reread my recent posts concerning her. SHe chuckled over it with an occasional lightning bolt glance my my. LOL!

CHeers! I'm gonna wander away for a little bit to catch up on some real reading.... you know... words and pictures actually printed on PAPER. The good old fashioned sort of reading! That way I can then throw OUT some of the accumulated mail and magazines 'round here.

Ian doesn't start school until next Thursday 9/7. He is so excited. My older daughter (Tori 14) is on the swim team. Ian doesn't have a big interest in that yet.

I'll save this til my spouse can be made to sit in front of the screen again - probably while she's eBaying.... and I'll PM a posting number referral for ya....

I don't mind nurturing a little posting activity from my spouse here to say "hello" to a the gathered community!

Cheers!

Tom

Well...

... I couldn't just stop on my "lucky" 13th post of the day... in spite of the lingering in the shadow of my fuming spouse. It's not even MY fault they drew on the cars' ceiling. When I'm driving I am LOOKING at the road (as I should) and my rear view mirror does not quite cover the areas directly above them. Oh, and she's upset I left all the damp swimsuits from yesterdays' swimming in the trunk. I thought... so what? It's a nice warm day and they'll dry there.. right? OK... maybe NOT! And then there's that darn FLY that snuk in (behind me?) that's driving her nuts. Er, rather it's the SPOUSE (me?) driving her nuts. So if she wanders by anytime soon then I'll HAVE to make a hasty escape.

..............

Time for me to run and hide a few hours... til the "storm" passes....

TTFN! :moped:

Just a PS here....

... my spouse calmed down when she googled crayon removal and found some sort of SOAP that works magically to remove crayon marks. So she hopes this will work once we find it!

How to Clean Crayon From Carpet:
Tips From eHow Users

From eHow's step-by-step instructions:

3 tips from eHow users:

1. Cleaning crayon from carpet Tera
Use Murphy's Oil Soap. Believe it or not, it will pull crayon out of the carpet and even clothes that have been through a dryer with a crayon! Apply it full strength to the stain and use a white wet cloth to work it out.

2. Thank you eHow Friend
My two kids love to crayon and the carpet is full of marks. The ironing and ammonia tip works, but for large area its too time consuming. Especially, in winter time when all windows are closed, we could not use ammonia to clean without a gas mask.

The Murphy oil soap worked great and in no time I was done. Amazing! Thank you.

3. Black crayon in a white carpet eHow Friend
Using the Murphy's Oil Soap at full strength worked great! I rubbed it in gently and then used my Bissel Little Green Carpet Machine and it removed the crayon 100%.

OK.... TTFN! :wave2:

Or until I pass by an refresh the screen right before another century mark is posted!

Evening everyone. Interesting shopping day - got my grab bag taken care of, found some great bargins for DH and did some looking for the SM gifts but no luck yet. Tomorrow is another day and another mall so we shall see...

Dad came over for dinner (they live in assisted living and his rehab facility is right next door) so got to visit with him outside of his "hospital room" environment. He got in the car (too far to use the walker) without too much issue. Watched some of the OSU/NIU (that would be spelled BUCKS) and I took him back to his room next door. All in all - a good day!

CC the best thing for crayon on the wall is tada Mr. Clean magic erasers!!!! Works like a champ. Take it from the grandfather of an artistic 4 year old grand daughter. Mike

In case you missed it . . . . . . . . . . . .

so - what will everyone be doing 2 weeks from today???

We have dinner reservations at California Grill at 9:00 in hopes to catch the fireworks so I imagine we will be headed over there to get checked in early and request a window seat.

One week from right now we will be getting ready for late seating, hopefully in Lumieres :goodvibes :goodvibes

Two weeks from right now, we will have just finished up at Scotts and hopefully finished our laundry.

I thought about you as I typed that Tracy. I was also noticing that there is a launch on Wednesday - not to wish bad luck or anything but it would be neat if they had to postpone it until Saturday!
