If I may interject....

.... we have just made a tounge-in-cheek "CALL TO ARMS" for everyone to post another 10 a day! If we get 100 folks to post 10 a day (Calling all passive lurking enthusiasts!).... then we'll get a THOUSAND a day added to the tally .. thus achieving the lofty goal of 20,000 in just slightly under 5 days.

Failing that - we're calling for 25 wild souls to post 15 a day (or vice versa) = and we'd have 375 postings a day for 5,000 posts in 13.3 days. Time to spare for a slow day or 3 slow HALF days.

Can it be done? Well.... yes and No....? :confused3

25,000?

Well now... that would be a challenge. We need to mobilize 50 people to post 15x a day... or 15 people to post 50x a day. I think 50 a day is tough. I actually counted 56 in a 24 hour span for me ... without tryin' to dominate ONE WHOLE PAGE as some have feated. So I'd say (from personal experience) that 50 a day is too tough to maintain. Especially considering this pace has to be maintained for 13.3 days to achieve another 10,000 posts!

So we NEED to mobilize 50 souls to post 15 a day for 13.3 days. OR we need 40 people to post 18 a day to achieve 10,000+ in slightly uner 14 days. Can we get folks to do 13-18 posts a day? :confused3 If so then 25,000 is a possibility.

Hi Beth

Actually, it's just "Mickbee" - that's why you got that message. I've had a PM out to them for a while now - it's never been opened. They once told me that there was a good chance that they would cancel, and they said they would let me know. I haven't heard anything since. So my guess is that they have canceled, but without confirmation I still have name badges for them.

Ken

Thanks, Ken.

Since I am shipping tomorrow morning, tonight is about it for new/confirmed info. As others have said, I plan to have extras, so any last minute additions/confirmations will have hand written names on them. But they will still get the gift, if they want it.

And speaking of gifts. are we supposed to bring our lanyards and name tags from the PC cruise? I use my lanyard for my name badge/key card at work, but can bring it and my Kingdom to Kingdom name badge along if needed. Let me know. Harry probably still has his, too, but may have to hunt for it.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I stop every 2hrs like clockwork. I was just wanting something sweet!

I'm on my diet still, so naturally Bob mentions Pizza Hut! :sad2: I would vow to dine naked in Palo if someone would bring me a Pizza Hut thin crust pineapple and cheese pizza right now! No kidding! :p

Does "right NOW"" count if I'm 1 hour and 20+ minutes late?

The image came from a Pizza Hut in Malaysia so delivery of the image was a challenge!

I can see I need to post more. There are at least three people who are not even going on this cruise who have more posts on this thread than I do!

All we need to remember is get as many as we can to post 14-18 for the next 14 days :surfweb: .... (we'll need 50 DIS enthusiasts at 14 average - or 40 DIS enthusiasts at 18 a day for 14 days) Well... actually 50 folks at 14 a day for 14 days only amounts to 9,800 .... so we would be technically about 120 short of 25,000. Shucks... I could toss up 120 if it meant I'd be swiping the 25,000th posting! Maybe....

AND if we get HALF the number of DIS folks to post (20 or 25) then we'll be on a pace to achieve 20,000 in 14 days at 14-18 a day average!

Just out of sheer curiousity, does anyone on here have an applehead chihuahua? We have been looking for a dog to keep on the truck with us and after much thought and prayer, we have narrowed it down to three: A miniature schnauzer (the most popular dog truck drivers have on trucks due to their tolerance to heat and cold, and lack of health problems), a maltese (which I'm not really sure about, because I've heard about health problems and bladder control problems), and a chihuahua (which are probley the 2nd most popular truck dog). I just want a dog small enough to enjoy this truck.(and that I can carry around in my purse if I want) For a small enough dog this truck is a PALACE! I hate it when I see a German Shepard on a truck. Cruelty to animals if you ask me. Any thoughts on any of these dogs?

My ex-son-in-law and his wife have a Chinese crested chihuahua. Incredible looking dog. Skin looks like man-made material, maybe polyester double knit. But very affectionate and calm. Has a Napoleon complex when it comes to bigger dogs, though.

Wish I had a picture.

The kid will make iit all worth while, once you get through the teen years with the girls.

Somewhere between 12-13 you will turn into the dumbest thing on planet earth. :joker:  Then it all turns around at 17 -20 and you find out that you really did a good job rasing a young adult. :thumbsup2

Then come the grandchildren which is one of the greatest rewards for being a parent !!! :jumping1:

Truer words were never spoken!

Of course if you have a boy(s), it's a whole different scenario....

Who has started packing?

I normally work till the wee hours, pack in the middle of the night, and then leave for the airport.

But I know a lot of you start early...

I usually fly in the wee hours of the night, and this trip is no exception. Got the non-stop flight on the way home, but have to change planes in the middle of the night on the way there.

I've picked out my clothes and have a stack of ironing to do (since I love cotton so much, especially for hot climates).

Am trying to decide on what I can ship tomorrow with the cruise gifts and the wine -- so far I have Off Towelettes (for bugs), moisturizing sunscreen (will send the leftovers home with Harry -- men need it too! and he'll have more room in his suitcase than me), Bingo dabber (have never played Bingo on a cruise -- do you use dabbers?), and wet wipes. Other ideas appreciated!

Laundry detergent would be a good idea, but I'll probably bring enough clothes for the whole trip, believe it or not. Might need to wash some unmentionables, but can do those in the sink.

What else can I send that I won't need to bring home with me?

No need to bring your repo name tag and lanyard unless you want to impress people. I have brand new ones for everyone on the list for this cruise.
