I did set us up with SKYPE early this morning before work. Works on the laptop but not the desk top, Could be because we have Window Me on the desk top. Will play with teh mic.

You postaholics have been too busy to keep up with.

Kathy almost got her wish for a new kitchen this afternoon. I was making toast in the toaster and it must have gotten hung up as it fill the house with smoke. Guess what the smoke detectors work.

I got a new toaster that way - but thank goodness it didn't get quite to the new kitchen stage - but close. I put in a one of those frozen breakfast pastries and went downstairs to my office, and forgot I'd put it in. I had an under-the-counter mounted Black & Decker toaster. It was many years old, and I don't think they sell them any more. Now I know why. My breakfast caught fire, and so did the bottom of the cabinet. My smoke detectors work too - all three floors were blaring for a long time! I had to use a fire extinguisher for the first time in my life. The cabinet is charred if you look underneath, but you can't see much damage on the front, so we live with it. Needless to say I bought a new toaster that sits ON the counter, instead of mounted to it.
