Currently working on Masters, but plan on doing the doctorate after. I am still trying to decide if I was to get the PhD which is research based or a D.N. Sc which is equivalent, but practice based. Both are about 125 hours of post gradute work with dissertation, but I also have to do a clinical practice and "defense" for the D.N.Sc. Robb teases me that I will be "Dr. Nurse." as Dr. would be the appropriate title for both degrees, you just are not a medical doctor, it's doctor like professor..... Dr. Celeste C, PhD. ;) (You couldn't pay me to be an MD! No thanks, not worth it.)

Sorry for boring everybody- I would post this, but I have to keep my post count up somehow. (I can't believe how low I am!)

Scott- I think used that joke with the open water instructor. The sad thing is that when I have by BCD with integrated weights on the tank- I can't lift it. :rotfl: :rotfl:

After earning her PhD in Forensic Psychology, Leslie has said numberous times she wished she had gone to medical school instead. She also has a Bachelors degree in Biology and thinks it would have kept her more interested in her work. However, with the girls, her career path now is more suitable for what she wants in life right at this time. One day, I believe she will go back to the forensic side - did an internship with the FBI and the NSA back in DC. Really enjoyed it.

I heard it's fairly close to the port. May even be closer than our excursion. I'm sure Leslie can find it (they have rum after all)!
I have no doubt of Toucan Sam's Nose <insert 'Pop Culture Reference Alert' here> in finding the rum ... it's afterwards when there is this collective "Which way is the ship?!?!" :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Yep, there are steps there, that is where we did the big Pirate Picture. How many Bubba Mugs do we have going???? any Idea???
I'm not sure how many total, but we have 3 52oz'ers and 2 20 oz'ers available. We're shipping the 52 oz mugs to the ship ahead of time. Those suckers are too big to pack in our luggage :lmao: :rotfl2: :dance3: :lmao:

Sorry I am in AR... thought I was nuts for a second...then remembered CAli time is a little laid back~ :hourglass
No need. It was my bad for not being clear what I was trying to point out. When you posted your micro said '10:00', the timestamp (in your zone) would have been '9:58'.

Sorry. I never said all my jokes were funny. Sometimes I don't understand them myself! :confused3

While picking up the girls from the Blake's today (our friends that our cruising with us), learned that their docs had arrived today. With excitement, drove the mile to our house quickly in anticipation. Checked the front door - no docs :confused3 . Checked the mailbox - no docs :confused3 ! What the #$%@ :furious: ! We have the same TA, live in the same city, only a few streets away! Well, I guess they should be here tomorrow. Very disappointing . . . .

Happy early birthday Tracy!

Leslie's birthday is tomorrow too (29th).

Getting old - 37 :rolleyes1 !!

I'm tempted to statistically try & figure out who this is...maybe I'll leave this to CC.

Well... we need more data to even begin - naturally the background references are ZEROes. SO - I believe you're on your own ... for now.

Tracy a photo of Kathy's Brush tongued Rainbow Lorakeet. It's name is Tiki.

We'll be having a champagne breakfast on our balcony that morning as we dock, so around 7:30am sounds good to me
Thanks for the invite....  :teeth: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
Yeah! You supply the extra chairs and champagne, and we'll supply the breakfast! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I see I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm trying to consolidate down. Meantime, I keep running into the 2 bags per person rule - where am I going to pack my clothes? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Just remember, each bag can be 62-linear-inches large before you get hit for oversized. Over-WEIGHT is your problem! :rotfl2: :lmao:

And ours! :sad2:

Thanks for the well wishes! Its nice to get them from my dis family! Makes me feel like a princess: Anyway, just found out about those pin cruises  no w DD-13 is begging to go - but alas (thank God) its during school time, use that as an excuse. We will probably catch up with you on the cruise as I like to talk to other fanatics on this little hobby - we buy buy buy and now my library is filled up - now if I can only get organized around here :rolleyes1 I'm sure I can find some more room to stash them little things - after all - most of them are pretty small in size aren't they? OK no jokes on that one - this is a Dis board. !Argh pirate:
An individual pin is fairly small ... not quite a grain of sand. Continuing the analogy, we have to store a beach! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We'll talk ... maybe get DPD involved, too. Share our horror stories and sage advice! :wizard:

BTW - All 5 fo the actual 'Pin Cruises' have been in November, with this year's being in October. That's not to say that pins aren't available on all cruises. Just ask the westward repo cruisers! :duck:

I saw Brett was sacked three times....they still haven't given him any help with the O-line? I didn;t get to watch the game....just read the recap

Ugh..Tracy, it is looking like they need more help than I can give them tonight.

What do you experienced divers think of those "learn to dive in one day and we take you down to 20-40 ft trips"? Are they safe, what type of fitness level do you need to be in? etc. They have one in St kitts and I was considering it for myself and DS17.....

On a Serious note about diving, here is a passage I read to all my classes, it chronicles a persons first experience with SCUBA:

“ I breathed sweet, effortless air. There was a faint whistle when I inhaled and a light rippling sounds of bubbles when I breather out. The regulator was adjusting pressure to my needs.”

“I reached the bottom in a state of transport. I looked up and saw the surface shining like a defective mirror. In the corner of the looking glass was the trim silhouette of Simone, reduced to a doll. I waved. The doll waved at me. From this day forward we would swim across miles of country no man had known, free and level, with our flesh feeling what fish scales know.”

Guess who wrote these words, it is pretty easy. I have read this many times and still get very emotional every time.

that reminds me, we should add that to the Navigator....MNF at the sports area...i don;t remember what it's called...and bring your BUBBA KEG's!!! yet another photo-op :goodvibes party: :happytv:

That was a fun time when they were trying to get a team. I remember the mall the day after they announced we got the team. :scared1: We lived in Orange Park until a couple of years ago. We moved across the river to be closer to the grandkids. I think the Jags are playing the Steelers on Monday night while we are on the cruise. I believe this is the first year that they have sold enough tickets that there will be no blackouts. In the past it was usually game by game.

Was your family one that was affected by the closing of Cecil Field? Have you heard they are trying to reopen it? Some say they don't want the noisey jets others feel it is good for the city.
