Peter is correct - for all those with GTY cabins, I will let everyone know my cabin number in case you do not know your cabin number by 08/25 - or if it changes during after that.

Seven weeks from today - mango soup! I have always thought a little vodka in that would be really tasty :rotfl2: !

ok, what is a GTY cabin? :)

The ones I saw yesterday had narrow bottoms - like to fit in the cup holder in a car. I thought they looked a bit top heavy. Guess I will go back and look for the ones you are talking about.

Oh yeah!! You gotta get ya'll a BUBBA MUG!! Insulated with 2 layers of BUBBA FAT!! :rotfl: Works GREAT! Of course I had to customize it with a few Mickey Stickers so as to distinguish it from Elaines since we both got DIS GREEN! Lovely in tropical pink or turquoise too though :thumbsup2 Get the Keg... it holds more and doesn't tip over as easy!

re: beverages, do you still have to pay for a soda allowance or whatever they were calling it before ?

NOPE!!! There is a lovely beverage station on Deck 9 now... all the soda you can drink FREE!!! Lovely mixers!! Also coffee, tea, ice tea, and I think milk but I can't remember because I don't drink it unless I have Kahlua...... Someone I think mentioned apple juice but I don't know if that was confirmed.
If you request soda from the bars/lounges though they will charge you. So make the trek up to Deck 9 with your 52oz Bubba Keg and FILL UP!! :cool1: They do have paper cups up there if you don't want to lug a mug around.

I gutted it out. It's a wonderful story of people comming and going, of cold weather and hot, pets and loved ones "going to a better place" and a buch of dudes in grass skirts

Let me know if you can't find it... they were on clearance at our WalMart but they may have a few left and I'd be happy to pick it up for you. The Keg looks like ... well... a Keg!! Holds 52oz vs the 32 of the car mug.

Guess I best be going to check it out. I will let you know.

Thanks!

 yipee free soda..now the important part, how many diet offerings do they provide for us diabetics and is it Coke or Pepsi...now that i think about it, i think disneyland is coke,,...ughhh but oh well it will have to do

oh and you had to go and mention kahlua didncha? my favorite....

Good to see you posting again Emily. Hate working on the house.

Guess that this coming week will be time to pull the suitcases out of the storage barn and get them ready to pack.

Some things to pack: Tide pens from Walmart to clean up food stains from drips and spills on shirts. Also some small rotating fans for the cabin. Most important is air freshner for bath rooms :lmao: :rotfl2: Do not want to forget small bills for tips for room service. An over the door shoe holder is great for keeping tolietry items such as toothpaste, shaving cream, bodywash, and other small items from being scattered all over the sinks.

Bubba mugs sound like a great idea to take to the drink station for soft drinks and such. Mike

Definately Coke products on DCL. There is Diet Coke for sure. Unsweetened ice tea..... not sure of any other diet offerings. :teeth:

Ahh, that's what i thought but just wanted to make sure. Where are the accessories you mentioned, i didn;t see them on the site? I'm way behind on all the latest techno stuff, are these equivalent to ipod's? can they play songs from the itunes site, etc? like i said, i'm a newbie on this stuff

tks!

Ivan,

If you search the disneyshopping site for Disney Mix Stick it should bring up the accessories too. Yes, they are pretty much the same as IPods, don't do picture's or videos just music. They will play music from the itunes site as well as any of the other sites that will download in a WAV or MP3 format. Believe me, I am a newbie too since I just got mine but was given this info in the directions and just doing some googling. :cool1: :cool1:

Just got in from hosting my gathering for....

... the Sound of Music program at the Hollywood Bowl. We had 1 cancelation and 4 no shows at our thing with 49 originally attending. There were 20 kids though in our group - so it was "active" and fun. It otherwise went off very well. I posted a few pics below from the picnic dinner and show... if anyone cares to see the whole series of 130+ images -

Here is a link to the slide show = http://www.dotphoto.com/Flashtool/MemViewShow.asp?AID=3722899

And if your pop-up blocker prevents the slide show from operating - then here is a photo viewer that usually works for everyone = http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=nma4cnc&p=vbx+yt54&AID=3722899&Pres=Y

Oh, what a great idea for the over the door shoe holer!!! I have a small one for my son's shoes (which we never use because he can't reach it) and it will be perfect!!

Has anyone seen any Disney Bubba Mugs??? I know it may be a little more expensive but sometimes things go on sale at the end of summer. Anyway, if you see one at one of the National chains, just let me know!!

Being a diet fan here.....I'm pretty sure the only diet offering Deck 9 beverage station has is Diet Coke....everything else is regular. In March (on the Magic) they also had pink lemonade and Hi C fruit punch - not diet just non carbonated.

Leslie...this Bubba Keg has me worried...I think I better start lifting weights to build those arm muscles for carrying this thing!!!!! Not to worry about Mickey stickers etc...to distinguish our "kegs"....I found my stash of Mickey straws...I packed 2 in different colors!!!!!

ok, what is a GTY cabin? :)

A GTY (guarantee) cabin is when you book and you are not given your cabin number right away. You are guaranteed a cabin of that category or higher and receive (from what I have been told, never had one) your assignment about 30 days prior to sailing.
