September 15, 2012 - Fantasy Western

Yep, 57 weeks until we sail on the Fantasy! Anyone else coming???

Hi Neighbors!
I too live in Woodstock,Ga and am THINKING about this cruise! I am a teacher in Cherr. Co and LOVE the fall break! We are looking to rent our DVC points out, so if you know someone that might be interested, let us know. You can PM me... It would be me and DW only! Our kids our 19 and 23, so they would be in college at the time.... This would only be our 2nd DCL cruise, but our 4th overall.....

I can't believe how fast time is going by...Sept 2012 will be here before we know it! Happy planning....

I'm in!

I'm Amy and my husband is Bill; this will be our 6th Disney cruise ... and we have a big group joining us this time!

My best friend is coming - this is her first ever cruise - and her sister - only her second time flying and her first Disney experience... and my cousins ... and friends of ours who live in Florida... we can't wait!

Amy7979 your group sounds familiar!!! Oh wait that's because I'm the cousin lol. The group is presently 9 could grow still. My DW (Jen) and me will be celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary on the cruise.

Wow cruise is only 354 days away and this page is really quiet lol. FYI The Birnbaum's 2012 Disney Cruise Line Guide is due in bookstores today. Time to start planning lol

First Disney Cruiser here - also from Cherokee County! Four of us confirmed (me, DH, DS (11), DD (12 almost 13)), possibly more family coming along.

While I can do WDW in my sleep, I've got lots to learn about DCL. Already learning about FE and magnets, packing lists and excursions. Definitely need help deciding on excursions when the time comes to reserve!

Can't wait though.

Love to see the group growing!!! The more the merrier! on the 2010 WBTA we were 22% of the sailing population - it was a riot!!

As for celebrations, DH Glenn and I will be celebrating 20 years!!

Just checking in on the group... I have started to pull a roll call together - 13 families so far...

Here is who we have...
Su_Kraft (me) - Party of 4
JacaroosMom - Party of 3
PrettyPixie - Party size unknown
YonkersGirl - Party of 4
MagicMe - Single cruiser (But we have hopes of her convincing a group to join us...)
Deerh - unknown party size
Amy7979 - Party of 2
Cheryllarsen - unknown party size
TomCat47 - Party of 2
April1979 - party of 4

I am going to put this in the first post as well for reference. I can then update it as we go!

Things I am thinking about... FE Exchange - we are in - whos wants to join?

Anyone up for a Mojito Tasting? I started this on the WBTA in 2010 and it was great! We did a DIS only group - 20 or so people right Mel? - and it was awesome!! If anyone is interested please let me know.

Lastly - any of the ladies Champagne drinkers? If so, we can carry on the tradition of having the Champagne Girls on board. All that is asked is that you bring a bottle of Champagne, wear pink and if you can get a pink boa and a tiara. I will look for a picture of us from the 2010 WBTA. We had a blast!

Mel - am I missing anything? Should we do a DIS Only mixology class too??? Shirts? Anything??

that is all the planning for this one for now. We were supposed to be on the Carnival Dream this past September but had to push it out as my Mom passed away. So we are running away over thanksgiving on the Carnival Legend for a week. I am sure that this will make me want to plan more for September 2012 as the Cruise Critic group for Thanksgiving has less posts than what we have here with almost a year to go...

330 DAY UNTIL WE SET SAIL!!!!!

Is anyone else as excited as I am??? I am sailing Carnival Thanksgiving week, and THIS cruise is more exciting to me!!!

Buehler? Buehler? Anyone else???

Post 1 has been edited with our roll call so far, so ideas of things that we could do as a group and a cruise graphic!!

Let the planning begin!!!

Amy7979 and myself are cousins and going on this cruise together. Besides our spouses there will be right now about 5 other people traveling in our group. not sure if they will be visiting this site leading up to trip though. Who else is planning to dress up for the Pirates on the Caribbean Party?

I have to get new pirate gear as mine is too big, but we are planning to dress for the occasion!!

Hope that we get a bigger group for this cruise!!

Hi Everyone,

Sue, I posted over on cruise critic but looks like far more is going on here.

We are also from Canton. It will be me, my spousel equivalent and our son who will be turning 11 on the ship. He was a souvenir from our Disney Magic turn of the century cruise :). DD is off to college next year so she will not be joining us.

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise although we have many other cruises under our belt. We traditionally go on our cruises over fall break, best prices, good weather, less crowded plus my son's birthday. Just did Carnival for this years Fall break and most of the ship was from Cherokee County, it was fun. Booked on RCCL for Thanksgiving too.

I wish we had more going on, I am hoping that after the holidays we will... I have added you to roll call in post 1!

We were supposed to be on the Carnival Dream over fall break. There was a pretty active CC group for that one. We ended up not going as my mom passed away, which is why we are going on the Legend over Thanksgiving.

My dad passed away a few weeks before our trip over fall break too. We had him cremated and my brother and I were trying to decide what to do with his ashes. I remembered reading that Carnival allowed burials at sea so we took my dad's ashes with us and took advantage of that. Sounds morbid but it was very nice.

I'll keep checking back here to see what you guys are up to. Sounds like you have lots planned already.

We don't normally book this far out but the price they had for this trip for 7 day trip vs what Disney is charging for the Dream for 3-4 days just can't be beat. Still way higher than anyone else but gotta go for the Disney experience every now and then and to see all the new shows, etc. While we are huge Disney fans, we just can't justify paying the higher rates to cruise them all the time.

I look forward to more posts and meeting up with "neighbors" when we get there.

I have lots that I can do - waiting on others to chime in... :) I did TONs of stuff on the 2010 WBTA - Mel can youch for me... If we have interest in some of the things I mentioned, it is a lot of fun to see the group out and about!

We are planning on dressing up. I'm going to head to Party City this weekend to see if they are running any post-Halloween specials.

The Champagne Girls sounds like fun and I do love mojitos (that drink is the reason I grow mint!). Count me in.
