Thanks for answering...yes, the Jan above is you!

WOW, only one more month for that baby???? I remember seeing pics of the wedding on fire island. Is this the same couple?

Same couple, yes ::yes::

Just giving us a little *bump* as we were about to drop off page two!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Happy Monday, everyone! I'm home alone as DH has flown off to Moscow for a couple of days. :( I'm going to miss him loads but mainly wish he'd hidden the chocolate fingers before he went as I have a proper craving which is not very diet-friendly behaviour!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Wish me luck... ;)

Another British treat? Please describe, the name alone is yummy!

Hi Emily, I've been to the Opryland Hotel once, but not for Christmas. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it looks all decorated. I was very impressed with the atrium and the instant energy I felt when walking into it. I'm glad you had a good time and that you got a special treat seeing the Rockettes in person. How awesome!

Are you one of the ones going to WDW the day after Turkey? If so, I hope you have a great time and will post some pics here when you get back. Have Fun!!!

Tom's cousin got married there in December a couple years ago. It was lovely and so was she!

Basically they are thin cookies covered with delicious Cadbury's chocolate - very crunchy and very more-ish...

Not really! ;) We had this laid about 9 years ago and the fitter had never even seen the design before, let alone fitted it!!! Then, a couple of years ago, we had the carpet replaced in the bedrooms and that carpet fitter hadn't seen it before either! I guess I just like to be different...  :cool2: I still love it and it has coped well with dogs and kids rushing up and downstairs... :thumbsup2

Actually you can buy the range in the US too. Here's a link...

That's a very cool gift! :thumbsup2 We received personalised lime-green wristbands which were fun...

BTW Jan, I know what you mean about "stuff" - we just seem to accumulate so much! Before we came to this house, we moved every 14 months or so and a regular de-cluttering was a by-product of that. We've been here 10 years next February and every available space is full of (that word again) "stuff"!!! Scary things are happening next year, as the garage (which, yes, you've guessed is full to bursting with "stuff") is being demolished and a new side addition being built!!! I have no idea what's going to happen to the contents of the garage but I really want it to be the start of a bright new stuff-free future... ;)

Westbound Panama Canal DISers had lime green wrist bands and Monica offered me one as they had more than they needed but I said no thanks. Later I wished I had taken her up on it. :confused3

Back to the STUFF topic:
Before we moved, I had that premonition thing
so I started cleaning cabinets. I pulled all the glasses, cups and mugs out of their cabinet and put back the ones I LIKED. :woohoo:

Then I asked DH, DS#2 and his best buddy who might as well have been DS#3 if they wanted any of the remaning stuff put back. They did not :sad2: so I put all of them in double handled shopping bags and offered them to clients and friends.

I did that with a craft closet too. Everything I did in those two years made it easier to downsize to Indianapolis. :thumbsup2

I called it my ROVING YARD SALE. People were hesitant at first but as soon as I told them that the stuff was FREE--it disappeared!

I hate regular yard sales where strangers come, paw over your stuff and try to get it for free. I figured I might as well GIVE it to my FRIENDS and CLIENTS as that would be a happier event than accumulating the small amount of money from people who haggle. :headache:

Not really, Jan. The Twix is bigger, slightly softer and has a layer of gooey caramel - at least the one's here do... Cadbury's fingers are small and thin with plain crunchy biscuit inside and covered in proper chocolate - you can snap them in two...

I can't believe we're having such an earnest discussion about this!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Yes it can but there's a difference in the snap - the Cadbury's Finger has a much more crisp, brittle snap and the chocolate is waaaay superior! GUYS, I"M JUST GOING TO HAVE TO TO SEND YA SOME!!! If interested, PM me your addresses... :thumbsup2
