Has anyone given any thought to dining arrangements or table-mates?

We will either be accepting applications for dining, or holding a raffle and the winner wins us.

Ahem.... cough... cough....

I think we should hold a 50-50 instead... gotta pay for those fruity fatty boozy drinks... :goodvibes

By the way... MY seat may be up for grabs... but Sukie would NEVER let mom sit at an alien table... :)

:dance3: 11 MONTHS PEOPLE!!:dance3:

Who's started packing?

I AM.....well, sort of.....I have a half packed suitcase of clean FL clothes from my WDW trip that I didn't wear. Two loads of laundry of the clothes I did wear, then throw them back into the suitcase and add a few themed outfits and I'm on my way......meet you at the Port!

No need to unpack suitcases full of warm clothing.....it's too cold here to wear them. I always keep them ready, just in case.....one never knows!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Oh brother, I believe that your sister from another mister......Ms. Ja-kay.....has already decided that it's much too early to discuss that and we know that we want all our DISer friends together. We'll see if she volunteers to take care of that for us when the time comes. So.....no worries, no problems.....as my Island brothers would say.....!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, you can still make a PLAN in advance! ::yes::

OHHHHHHH......I'm sorry I seem to have misunderstood:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I didn't know that it was OK to make a PLAN in advance....

......really, I do understand the reasoning about bookings while linked in dining.....this will make it so much easier.

With that said, who is doing late seating???

Now that we've passed the one year mark....let's PLAN AWAY!

And there is a way, once folks have made up their tables/groups, to request the same dining rotation for all DISer in the same seating (main or late) and even to have the tables in one particular section of the restaurant. Or that is, all that want the same rotation (I seem to always assume that the late dining people would prefer the 8PM seating to allow more time to make it to the nighttime events)

And it's nice that the first Tortola cruise is in April, so we'll be able to get feedback from them for which nights are which events. :thumbsup2

Deb... why do I get the feeling that you walk around naked the rest of the summer... :confused3

This will be only our second cruise and the first without our kiddos! We are going for our 10th anniversary! On our first cruise I had a feeling I was seeing DIS'ers here and there, but I didn't want to seem like an idiot saying "hey are you a DIS'er?" to people. I can just see myself getting turned in for dealing something illegal on a cruise ship!:rotfl:
We are a late dining. I would prefer the 8:00 seating but how do I request that? When can we start booking excursions, spa visits, Palo, etc? I am just so excited about this one that I can't remember how we did anything for our first cruise.

Well, as Castaway Club members, you can now book on line 90 days out..PROVIDED you are paid in full at that time. And you know, I looked up that exact date once and don't remember...June 14 maybe. The 29th is DCLs final payment date (75 days), so you have to pony up 15 days earlier.

You can request dining time by calling DCL or you TA and having them note it on your reservation. They will remind you that it is only a REQUEST and no guarantee.

Don't worry, hang out here with us, we have a bajillion cruise miles of experience amongst all of us!

He tortolly (I love that! :lmao: ) went for it so looks like we're in! Honestly, it was easy - I didn't even need to use my feminine wiles! ;) Sooo I've emailed my TA with the go ahead and I'm just hoping we get our fave stateroom... :cloud9:

So now for introductions... *clears throat* ...

Hello, I'm Karen from London, England and I'll be sailing with my wonderful DH Richard. This will be our 5th DCL cruise - our last one was the final Mexican Riviera and on this very date last year we were renewing our vows on the Western Caribbean...

Gotta say this seems a ubercool group of DISers and I look forward to getting to know y'all over the coming months! :thumbsup2 I'm particularly keen to become a member of the Champagne Girls - that sounds a perfect club for me as I love champers in all it's guises!!! :dance3:
WELCOME!!!!

Hi all... well I was reading thru the posts - trying to catch up and DH called me in to eat dinner (he's a better cook than I am) and I spilled beer (I usually don't drink beer but it's a cherry wheat Sam Adams and delicious)... now I have to go RE- steam clean my carpet!!!! ARGHHH - ok, just a spot treatment but still. I'll come back - and catch up on page 87 and then post proper like! Sounds like we have a wonderful group and hope it continues to grow ! :yay:

Look! There's my little sister! ::wave:: Hi Peg.

.
Hey sister!!! Can you pm me the word search/crossword puzzle maker you had listed on this thread? i just made a cool one for Jose. With his company, and all those technical words. Now I want to make a horse one... and I closed the link before I saved to favorites...

Thanks! Off to clean carpet then I'll be back. What are you doing?

Peg, link to the puzzels is on the bottom of page one of this thread!

....convenient, eh?

"Who do we ask" ...... about which question?
If you mean your personal dining rotation request, your TA
If you're talking about when we ALL want to be in the same rotation, I'll do that with DCL (after getting a *load of information from all you guys WHO HAVE LATE DINING).

.

bumpety bump! Just opened the door to a man delivering lovely flowers from my wonderful husband :lovestruc He's so good to me!
So sweet!! I got flowers from my dh on Friday (I was having a bad day at work). What great guys!
Bonjour from Disneyland Paris. We have been in Paris for two weeks. Our next stop is London.Woody
Continue the fun and safe travels my friend!
We met up with Connie/cquick and DH Chuck for lunch. Here's a great picture of them. Notice the pretty blue drink that Connie is having. Cheers!

Here's one of all of us at lunch......me and John and Connie and Chuck.

Here's Capt'n Jack's at Downtown Disney where we had lunch. It was a great place to eat sitting at a window overlooking the water. Nice!

After lunch Connie and Chuck had to leave, so John and I rented a Pontoon Boat and took it for a ride. It was so cool!

Here's John the boatlover being right at home behind the wheel.

For dinner, we met Monica/mishoe01 at Mimi's Cafe. It was a great place with real homemade food. Delicious.

That was our last day and evening in Orlando. The next day we headed home and here we are now.....back home again. It was such a great trip.
Love the Mimi's - we just met Cherie there for lunch Yesterday!!! (well the one in Scottsdale that is).
I think sis, TiggersPal, had one of those at AKL before our Double-Dip in '06...the glowing ice cubes actually when 'home' to Chili with our assistant server, Angelina..
So true, that little ice cube gave me such pleasure and when Angelina saw it and had the same reaction, I couldn't resist giving it to her!

Ok - back to catching up. Where did my sister go????

Thanks!

Yes....I need them to remember where I've been, especially since I don't know where I'm going! :lmao:

I'm around....actually reading some of the trip reports of our new cruise-mates (and we have some very good/funny writers in this crowd!).:thumbsup2

.

OK, you live in a part of the country that is sort of cute during the fall.
Michelle - (did I spell it right?) - I LOVE upstate NY - i lived on Long Island for 5 years and think upstate looks much like Italy! Don't listen to Ian - he's just fiesty (at least that's what I hear).
Well, I'm excited to hear all the news but those pesky air fares have me doubting that I'll book anything, though I would love to do a Baltic out of an English port. Will SERIOUSLY look at a special Christmas cruise though. I just hope they give us more than one week to decide! Deb...I'm loving the 'candy bars' from BistroMD, every one has been A+ :thumbsup2 .
And congrats sister for your 6lb loss so far...
