Reports on the event are WELCOME!!

Jan :earsgirl:

Ah Deb, but you live in one of the most gorgeous parts of the country for fall!

Yes Ian, I agree it is beautiful here in the Fall.....but it feels like Winter already and the leaves are only just starting to change colors. Where is that first Fall cool, brisk day......we went right to frigid.

I consider us in the same part of the country. I think Northeastern PA and upstate NY is the same as far as weather and terrain and woods and mountains and lakes.....it's beautiful in both of our neighborhoods.

You're doing a great job Jan. I LOVE seeing everyone's pictures.

Sure... get him out of it Deb!!! :lmao:

I will post a pic or two from today's leaf peeping as soon as photobucket decides if it likes me or not.. ;)

Hi everyone, I'm back yet again. Wow, a lot's been happening in the last week or so on this thread. Welcome to all the new cruisers! Our jolly crew keeps expanding!!!:cool1: :cool1: Anniversaries, a wedding, Champagne Girls, even a drive-by by Woody! So much fun!

I've done a lot of driving in the last 24 hrs, so I think I'm going to hit the sack!
:wave2:

For the Champagne Girls and anyone else interested......here's a list of the Champagnes that we had at our first Tasting. They were from an outside source (our friend Karen @ winemiles.com), which is no longer available. So we'll have to price it out using DCL and see how they compare. Here's what Karen provided us:

Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Blue Top Champagne; Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut; Bellussi Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Dry DOC; Codorniu Winery Pinot Noir Brut and Banfi Vintners 2006 Rose Regale Brachetto D'Acqui.

She picked 5 champagnes that went from dry to sweet. We'll try to do the same sort of mix for our tasting.

If anyone has a specific request, please let me know.

Thanks for the info, Deb! Sounds a great list! :thumbsup2 :cloud9:

I have just noticed you live in the Poconos - is that where Dirty Dancing is set? One of the trips DH and I have planned for the future is a jaunt to the North Eastern US states during Fall - it looks beautiful... :goodvibes

Dirty Dancing was set in upstate NY.....but it's the same Northeastern region of the US.

You would love a ride through the mountains during the Fall, it truely is georgous.

So.......

I'm in.

Looks like I have some catching up to do.

Hi and welcome. I've read some of your reports - look forward to meeting you.

Quick stop by as on a strange computer!!

Hi all. Just 2 nights left and back to the freezing weather, and rain I think!:sad2:

So is everyone ready for the new sailing dates to be announced for 2010 tomorrow? Are we ready to pick a cruise and book it? Is everyone getting excited?

:yay: Welcome Erica and Lionel! :yay:

I was just shirking chores yesterday and reading your trip report! Welcome home and glad you are joining us on your next adventure.

Well, I'm excited to hear all the news but those pesky air fares have me doubting that I'll book anything, though I would love to do a Baltic out of an English port. Will SERIOUSLY look at a special Christmas cruise though. I just hope they give us more than one week to decide!

Deb...I'm loving the 'candy bars' from BistroMD, every one has been A+ :thumbsup2

.

Hi Angel, what'cha doing?

Thanks for the welcome home for me and John.

I never ate at Capt'n Jack's before, but I liked it a lot. Great place!

I read where you said that it was cold by you. It's cold here too. No more sunny and 90's......vacation is over.

Here comes the Winter.......brrrrrrrrr!

That just means that next September is coming quickly. Time to get started planning that trip.

Too right...planning the cruise makes me feel much warmer!:thumbsup2 It's been raining non stop for 2 days here, and is feeling very chilly indeed :(

Wow they sound wonderful, what a shame Karen can't join us eh? I'm nowhere near an expert Deb, just know I love the taste!:rotfl2:

I'm hoping it's going to be in Europe Deb, will you come on over if it is?:cool1:

Horrible grey wet day today so very lazy (apart from some ironing), bacon sandwhiches & coffee, rugby on the TV and hoping to speak to Becky later this afternoon.

What are you all up to today?

I'm very excited!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: Tho' I have no idea what we'd book! :lmao: I'm at Uni until around mid-afternoon and thinking things should be kicking off at around 5.30pm (London time) so plenty of time to get home, kick back and watch the drama unfold... :surfweb:

It's really grim weather today! :sad2: We had bacon, eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms for brunch and there's football (soccer) on the TV for the boys. I'm sitting on the sofa with the laptop and surfing the net to my heart's content... :cool2:
