Did everyone see the email about Monday's webcast and the big announcement on DCL's website? Check it out at 12:30 pm EST and the webcast is at 12:45 pm EST. 2010 announcements!!!!

Please post the info for those of us who will not be able to link up. ::yes::

I am flying Sunday from Indy to Syracuse, NY to spend most of the week at my childhood home with my brother who lives there now and visit our Mom who is in an Alzheimer's Community nearby.

I plan to take her one day to visit my best High School buddy. Another day we are going to take a RR trip from Utica into the Adirondack Mountains to see the Fall foliage. My brother volunteers on that train as a conductor, I am not sure if he is "conductor-ing" that day or riding with us as a passenger.

Friday we will visit with my sister, her husband and younger son when they come from Alabama to the Adirondacks to close up her in-laws lakeside cabin. About noon we will leave there so I can catch my flight home.

I will be limited to use of the RAZ (red Blackberry that I call Raspberry or RAZ) most of the trip so will not be able to link, so--

PLEASE REPORT THE NEWS!!

Fudge. I was hoping to pack light. :confused3

I have some scrapbooks of travels that our Great Uncle put together that my brother wants to see and two afghans I am trying to bring. Where is there space for clothing? I want to use a small enough suitcase that I can call it a carry-on for the trip home and only have to pay extra for one way.

We do have coats and such at the house that I could probably borrow....:rolleyes1

Maybe that is what I will do. Pack as I planned and mooch when necessary.

Hi All! We're home now. I'm happy and sad about that. I loved our little 6 night vaca in Orlando. But it was hot. Walking all around while the sun was out and the temps were 90. It was beautiful in air conditioning, but not without.

I had a great time seeing DISer friends from my PC cruise. I have a few more pictures to post because two of them......Monica and Connie with DH Chuck will be on this cruise with us.

It's great to be back home too. I missed my puppy and kitty and turtles. They were all happy to see us.

Deb...

What are we doing awake???? :confused3

Before you know it... those Tenarife people will be checkin in!!!

We met up with Connie/cquick and DH Chuck for lunch. Here's a great picture of them. Notice the pretty blue drink that Connie is having. Cheers!

Here's one of all of us at lunch......me and John and Connie and Chuck.

Here's Capt'n Jack's at Downtown Disney where we had lunch. It was a great place to eat sitting at a window overlooking the water. Nice!

After lunch Connie and Chuck had to leave, so John and I rented a Pontoon Boat and took it for a ride. It was so cool!

Here's John the boatlover being right at home behind the wheel.

For dinner, we met Monica/mishoe01 at Mimi's Cafe. It was a great place with real homemade food. Delicious.

That was our last day and evening in Orlando. The next day we headed home and here we are now.....back home again. It was such a great trip.

Hi Michelle.....that's a really good question. I know, for me, I slept so much in the car ride home and for a bit after arriving home. So now I'm awake. My schedule is all off.:confused3

How about you??? What's your excuse? You better not start nodding out behind the wheel while looking at leaves with mom tomorrow.

Speaking of leaves changing colors in the mountains.....when I got back home today I expected to see all the colors.....nope, it's just starting to change. There was still way more green than colors. I was very surprised. I think it was just too warm here.

Well... I'm turning in very soon... I'm so used to being up and taunting Bubba that it's become a habit...

I wonder if there is a 12 step program for the Dis... :confused3

It's a lovely local place in Beckenham - staggering distance from home... ;)

You'll get there one day, I'm sure - it's definitely worth it! We lived there for a couple of years (1995 -1997) and try to go back regularly. We were planning to go next weekend but the trains are a little screwy after the Tunnel fire so not sure at the mo...

Hi Marilyn, enjoy your warm weather while you can. We left Orlando and it was 90 degrees. We arrived home yesterday and right now it's 38 degrees outside........bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrr! It dipped down to 31 degrees overnight. It's COLD!

Tunnel fire? I missed that--when? How bad? Anyone hurt? How?

FALL LEAVES--45 years living in NY and PA--we noticed the leaves were worth driving to see in the Adirondack Mts of NY the first weekend in October. The second weekend in October they would be getting good in the valleys of NY and the Pcocno Mts of PA. The third weekend of October and they would be good in the valleys of PA.

IF

We had COLD nights and mild days--

:yay: YAY leaf weather--here I come ::yes::
