Hi everyone!
I dont have a lot of time to post with the wedding sneaking up on me, but I did want to say hello. I am looking forward to becoming more active in the thread and getting to know everyone better after the honeymoon. I hope everyone is doing well. :)

Jan: Hi from a fellow Hoosier! My info looks correct, and once I can find my room number I will get that to you.

Lindsey~

When's the wedding Lindsey?

I'm also a Hoosier. NW part of the state....little town called Hobart. Dad worked at US Steel in Gary. The housing development I lived in (far east side of town) was surrounded by cornfields and woods, so it was a grand place to grow up. :thumbsup2

I need to backtrack, I think I missed some posts while the DIS was doing the wonky time/placement thing yesterday.

.

Good morning Last Callers. Quite a nice day here after a miserable week.

Going to do some Wii Fit workout soon, in the hope that by the time this cruise comes around I will be lighter, thinner, fitter, and younger!!!:rotfl:

Hi everyone! I just wanted to check in and see what's going on here. I spend more time on our 9/27/08 Double Dip meet since that one is coming up in less than 90 days, but it looks like things are heating up on this board so I better pay attention! Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!

lg3, I've done Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel and also booked directly with them. I don't know if you have any concerns about booking an excursion on your own, but this is a good company, so you shouldn't have any concerns there. I did the "Royal Swim" (which also was not available through DCL) and it was FANTASTIC! Definately one of the top experiences in my life. :thumbsup2

Woody, please give Janice and Linda a BIG hug from me when you see them at Halloween. Man....I really need a winning lottery ticket. There are three cruises yet this year that have good friends on them...AND I WANT TO GO TOO. :worried:

.

Jackie - what's the Royal Swim??

I wish DCL would come out w/ shore excursions already! Must start planning!

Here are the names of cruisers that I could gather from skimming the posts so far. If I have made errors or there are changes please post them. I think I have posted only info from this Thread. If there is anything not from this thread it is from the Panama Canal thread not from my memory of having met people on a cruise. So, I hope this is all OK to post.

Jan - I plan to celebrate my 40th bday on board (not until Nov but I will be with friends so why not)!

Monica, the Royal Swim includes the stuff you get in an 'encounter', pet, hug, kiss, dance type of thing as well as a dorsal pull (being pulled through the water holding on to the dorsal fin) and a 'foot push'. For the foot push, two dolphins come up under your feet and propel you through the water. You are actually standing on their noses! It's FABULOUS...(or is that lavinous?)

Save up...it ain't cheap!

Jan: Getting together for coffee sounds great! I will post a wedding pic of us when we get back. I cant belive how soon it is.

Yay, another Hoosier! The wedding is September 12th in Destin, FL. We are having a beach wedding. Then the next day we are heading to the Port for our first cruise. Its just a quick 4 day to Nassau, but then we are going to WDW for a few days as well. It should be great. Jeff has never been to Disney so this will be a really special trip!

rotary2808: Thank you!!

Well Cherie, it looks like it is up to you and me to keep this thread form Page 3!!

I'm starting to get excited about the cruise! We are wondering if we should leave early to spend a day or two at WDW, as we have in the past before cruises. DD will be in 1st grade, and DH is a bit concerned about pulling her out of school more than one week............. Any thoughts from those that may have done this before?

I imagine with the 4th coming up it might get a little slow around here. I know after work today I won't be on much. We're having a big cookout tomorrow night and doing fireworks. I'll at least try to check in though.

We'll soon be on page 3 at this rate!!!

Noooooooo! We can't let that happen!:scared:

So sorry! I'm letting the team down :upsidedow Since Canada Day is over, I'll try to do my part while you all have a wonderful

Happy 4th of July :dance3: :cool1: :cool1:

My kids are all grown, so can't help with that one, from what I understand some school districts are much more lenient than others about children missing days?:confused3 I arrived at WDW 2 days before this past PC cruise. It was so nice not to have to feel rushed or worry about flights being late. I was so much more rested not having to spend hours travelling the 1st day of the cruise. I am hoping I can manage to get the time off work to do the same for this cruise.

Let me know when coffee would fit your life. Most Mondays and Fridays are free.

Wedding and Honeymoon sound great! ::yes::

Our first cruise was also our Honeymoon--and our 30th Anniversary! :rotfl:

I never know what page we are on. Do you get to this thread from the Trip Thread listing?

I go straight to my subscription list, check my note pad to see where I left off and start there.

I don't use the subscription list at all. I just go to the relevant pages and see the marker of threads I have posted on.
