Sending pixie dust and prayers to all Tortolians![]()
we have horses...so i am always curious about hay. of course, i am sure it is too far away. horse hay is better quality hay due to their finiky tummies!![]()

The reason I was laughing was it brought back a memory for me ( I wasn' laughing at you) I just remember using the "floor" hay and giving it to the cows - while the horses got all the "fresh" hay - and we often mixed it - so they wouldn't get too much protein from the alfalfa and not too much grass hay (good fill but not great nutrients)... so they had a mix of timothy, alfalfa and grass hay. Sorry it's an Aquarian thing, my mind is going 1000 miles a minute but I often don't explain my self very well....we have horses...so i am always curious about hay. of course, i am sure it is too far away. horse hay is better quality hay due to their finiky tummies!![]()
God I remember the last time and it was December and I was so hot - I have NO idea what I'm going to do - wet my head and bring my FAN with me so I can keep cool!Has anyone realized that this time next month we'll be roasting at the lifeboat drill (unless we're lucky to be at one of the inside stations) getting ready for the Magic to sail off into the Caribbean?![]()
YIPEE - more horse talk! KIMLOVESDISNEY - and Garry - I know I'm jumping in on your conversation but I can't help myself! Kim how old is your little one who wants to start jumping? I too, went that route - started in a western saddle, pleasure then went to gymkana - then on to english pleasure to jumping and then 3-day eventing - jumping is about the MOST fun a person can have on horseback... (Ian/Woody - NO COMMENTS PLEASE)...WELL YAAAAAAAAAA

Responded accordingly!Walking on Water - Keeping Healthy at Sea
If you signed up for this event and indicated you prefer to walk early morning, before breakfast, I sent you an email to request a little more information for organizing groups.
This is the most complex group to organize. The other groups, will not need me to send an email for more info.
If you are interested in this event, let me know.

More horse posting (for those than want to skip over this section) - I was at a point where I wasn't working and enjoyed playing horsewoman all day - and then lunched with my other equestrian women friends, such blessings!!! Then I got a call and next thing you know I'm working full timeWe buy the hay from a fellow 20 minutes down the road. he worries about the 'horse people' and keeping the hay dry while curing for 3 days!
We are in SC. Not much for shows yet...but my daughter is taking english lessons and very interested in jumping - so i guess my time is coming.
We (my best friend and I) have 2 quarter horses, an appy and a walker. my sister has an arab. They are addicting.
Do you still ride? We do trail rides once or twice a week. It is hard to keep 4 in shape with only 2 butts. ha. If only i didn't have to work.....

Then I got a call and next thing you know I'm working full time- but I will say our family certainly has had the pleasure of riding and owning a bunch of great horses... my brother Paul who will be cruising has walking horses (well down to 1 now) and my sis Jackie had a couple mixed quarter types as a younger gal - I too still have one - but only one at this point. Trail riding is really the only thing I do now - I had to put my Arab down last February he was the horse of my dreams... he did everything from polo cross to 3 day eventing to trail riding (even competitively) but his really strong suit was Dressage - he was like riding butter... I'm sorry - I need a moment to compose myself...
