I know!! I can't wait to see how you liked the party either!! I liked the halloween party, but I think the Christmas one is the best one. I dunno....just something about the air there LOL I hope ya'll had a good time, and are enjoying the cooler weather, I just took the dogs outside, and it's a bit nippy!!! I hope this continues into our day with Samantha next weekend!!!!! :) Enjoy the rest of your trip!!

Awww, great pictures Dana!! Thanks for posting them, I know it was taking a while to bring them up!!

And the TTA, I really wanted to ride on that in May, it looks so relaxing, but it was of course closed, I can't wait to try it in August.

So sorry I didn't keep up with the live updates like I wanted. We are home. We cut the vacation short because Dallas started feeling bad about 2am this morning. We left Orlando at 9am EST and made it to the doctor's office at 4:30pm CST. We had a confirmed Swine Flu test. He was started on Tamiflu and I gave him a breathing treatment and some motrin so he is sleeping now. I guess my updates may be more sporadic for the next several days.

Please keep Dallas in your prayers.

Dana,

I am so very sorry to hear that Dallas has the swine flu. I will absolutely keep him in our prayers. Make sure that the rest of you take extra precautions.

Keep us updated as you have the time.

Lisa

Dana, so sorry to hear that Dallas is sick! I hope the tamiflu helps him fight it off quickly...I will keep all of you in my prayers!
 Connie

Dana,
Hi :wave2:. I've been lurking on your TR and I just had to come out of lurkdom to say that the swine flu went through our family. My DD17 was at church camp about a month ago. She called me one evening at around 10:30P.M. to say that she thought that she might be getting sick (just a little tickle in her throat). By midnight that night (only 90 minutes later, mind you) the camp nurse called me and said that my DD's temp was 105 and she was taking her to the E.R. on oxygen and to meet them there :scared1:!

Long story short... DD started Tamiflu, next day the whole family started Tamiflu, I got it, no one else did, we've all recovered.

I later found out that at least half of the kids at camp ended up with swine flu.

Its not to be messed with. Its highly contagious and makes you miserable. First you're afraid you're gonna die, then you're afraid you're not!

Prayers and pixiedust: to Dallas.

i am so sorry to hear about Dallas:( All of you will be in my prayers I hope that he recovers soon and that you and Dale stay healthy!! thats the thing with disney with so many people there -- you are bound to pick some kind of germ:( I got a cold when i was there too! Keep us updated-- but i hope you did have a amazing trip despite the ending of your trip:( I feel so bad!! I hope the tamiflu helps him~!!

Awww, the poor little guy. What a bummer. I hope he's feeling better very soon. Dh's doctor is pretty sure that's what he had while we were at Disney too, it was just too late to test for it by the time we got home and he went to the DR.

FEEL BETTER DALLAS

Dana, I am so sorry about Dallas. What a scary thing you are going thru. I know your faith will see you thru. Prayers will continue for you.

Thank you everyone for being such great friends. I know that God will see us through this and we will be victorious. My main concern with Dallas is his asthma. I have been taking his temp every 2 hours and keeping a record of temps and meds. I want to monitor his progress through this illness. This stuff is VERY serious. It strikes with such speed you don't have time to try and ward it off.

Here is the time line for Dallas.

Thursday morning up at 7:30 and off to Epcot by 9:00. Spent the day at Epcot and ended the day at 6:00pm eating dinner at Electric Umbrella. NO SIGNS of feeling bad.

Back to room by 6:45ish and baths and showers. Watching TV, playing DS, and NO complaints, eating candy from MNSSHP.
10:00pmish Dallas ready for sleep, a little early, but it had been a long day.
10:30pmish me and Dale going to bed.
2:00amish Me waking up with stomach cramps, OH NO, bad crab cake at Epcot, go back to bed and Dallas says he is cold, tell him to snuggle up to me because I am cold too.
A little later, maybe 30-45 minutes, Dallas wakes me up and says he has a sore throat and that he is is freezing, check and feel that he is burning up. Give him some motrin, no thermometer, that is what I forgot to pack :sad2:. Go back to sleep and Dallas and I both wake at 7:30amish and he says he has to throw up. I wake Dale and tell him Dallas is sick. Dallas asked "What are we going to do today then?" Dale says "Go home". I had already packed everything but what we would use for Friday and Saturday. We had already put one suitcase in the car. We dressed, packed up everything else, loaded the car and we drove to the front of the Pop. I went into the food court and got us 2 cinnamon rolls, one croissant, 3 apple juices, 2 lemon aides, one chocolate milk, two rice crispy Mickey heads, one box of Nila Wafers, one box of Nutter Butters and a bag of Chip and Dale pretzels all TO GO......I used up my snack credits and checked out with a TS and CS still on the plan........LOL. I checked us out and we were on the road by 9:05am.

I am blessed that I work with the Pediatricians so I do have a little inside pull. When we got to Gainesville at about 9:30 CST I called and spoke to a friend, that works for the pediatric group I use, and explained the situation to her, she got me a late appointment for 4:30pm. Now we are at least 6 hours away from home in Gainesville. We stop and make our usual stops for food, gas and bathroom breaks. Dallas slept most of the way home. We had to stop in Crestview, Fl to get more Motrin and Tylenol, and of course I had to buy the Monsters and Aliens movie for him. At 4:05pm we hit the Bayway on I-10 and my phone rings. It is Nancy from the doctors office seeing if we are gonna make it or if she needs to tell Dr. Nobles she needs to wait for us? I told Nancy we were on our way and we were gonna make it.

So, I signed us in at the doctor's office at.............................................. 4:29pm...........LOL. We sit for about 30 minutes and we were called back. They did a strep test and a H1N1 test. We waited and the nurse came to move us to another room and since she knew me she told me "the test is positive". Dr. Nobles came in and of course confirmed it. She was really surprised that we got to the office so soon after his first symptoms. We got
the Tamiflu prescription filled right away and at 6pm he had his first dose. Last night I spent the night alternating between, sleeping, praying, taking Dallas' temp and giving meds.

He is doing good today. When his temp starts going up he feels bad, but, THANKS BE TO GOD, he is doing good.

Glad to hear dude!! Cookies were good, taking my nyquil and going to bed now...anything you need, if I can help, let me know. Chris is playing bingo on the ship tonight for $$....wish him luck!! HAHAHAHA He SUCKS at bingo!!

Dana, glad to hear Dallas is doing better now that he is home. Hope this passes as quickly as it hit...we went to Silver Slipper tonight with our neighbors across the street and she works for a peds office. She also said that her 17 yr old son had Swine last week; he could not take the tamiflu--made him vomit and he felt worse until it wore off. He did need to use a nebulizer for two days (he had pneumonia last year-so his lungs became inflammed quickly).
Pray it goes as quickly as it hit...(said that already, sorry)
have a good day tomorrow!
Connie

I hope your son gets over the flu quickly. I am so sorry that he got sick and you had to cut your vacation short. Hugs!

Dana,

I'm so sorry to hear that Dallas is sick. The swine flu scares the crap out of me because of Josie's asthma. We've chatted about our babies and their asthma before. I will definitely be praying for you guys and a super quick recovery for Dallas.

Also praying for a quick recovery for Dallas, poor guy! Hope no one else gets it!!

I hope Chris won lots of money!!! Did you eat a cookie for me? When we got home I had gained 3 pounds :scared1:. I think I may lose it fast though because "The Pig" is getting me too. Dale just said he is starting to feel bad .

I knew this mess hit quick, but I didn't know it hit that quick. I had been doing everything I could to keep it away, hand washing(we went through 2 bottles of hand sanitizer while we were at Disney), I sprayed everything in the room down with Lysol and used Lysol wipes, we have been taking every vitamin known(the vitamin D thing doesn't work) so I don't know what else we could have done to avoid it. Well, I guess we could have stayed home :scared1: NOT. There were lots of people coughing and sneezing and not covering :scared1::eek::sick::sad2:.

Thank you for the prayers Connie, they are greatly appreciated.

Thank you . We cut our May trip short too. It seems like somebody gets sick every time we go. Oh, well there is always next time :goodvibes.

Thanks Leanne . It scares me too for the same reason. I have only had to give Dallas one treatment, but his nebulizer and albuterol are at my side of the bed(he has been sleeping with me so he doesn't expose Tyler too much). Thanks for praying for us, there can never be enough prayers going up.

Also praying for a quick recovery for Dallas, poor guy! Hope no one else gets it!!

Thank you Mary . Prayers are always welcome.

I guess I should stop hugging every body since I am coming down with this stuff :rotfl:. Anyway, I had a dream about you last night. I dreamed you were having a baby and that it is a boy :goodvibes.

I will post a few more pictures. I uploaded a lot to the Disney photopass site today and ordered them and a photo album. I had a code for 20% off so I got a pretty good deal. Hey, I'm sick I should get something nice. Right?
