Is it too early to start planning...? I hate that it is so far away but this will be when we get to go. My husband works for AT&T and the contract is up in April 09. Depending on our strike, we will go to disney during Sept/Oct. I am hoping by planning this far out, no matter what we will get to go. Is anyone else already planning this far out, or am I crazy?

In my opinion, it's never too early to start planning a Disney trip!! (But then again, I happen to be just a wee bit obsessive when it comes to trip planning.... :rolleyes1 ) It's funny that you should ask this because I just saw that one of the other DISers has already written a pre-trip report for her WDW trip in 2010!!!! :rotfl: That's a true Disney fan!!! :thumbsup2

we are going Oct 09 and ive started planning........i actually started the day we got back...oct 07 !!!

never too early i say !!

Well since we have never been I want to really plan it out..any suggestions for a hotel for a family of 5, I am thinkin the poly or contemporary

We're going in Sept. '09 and have been planning for months. You can make room only ressies later this spring, or wait until late summer to book a package.

Planning is half the fun!

ive never stayed in either but i have been to CB in both and given the choice i would pick Poly every time.it is beautiful and well i just dont get the Contemporary....it seemed kindae soulless.but hey im guessing it would be best to ask someone who had actually stayed in them !!!

check out the resorts page.:thumbsup2

What exactly do you plan this far out? I just keep reading these boards and getting more excited..lol

My friend and I are talking about going back in August or September of 2009. August or September for free dining (with any luck) and 2009 because we need that much time to save enough money to go, we just went this past August, but with no free dining. :sad2: If the free dining doesn't happen then we're thinking of going Thanksgiving week 2009. Half the fun is the planning and it's never to soon to start. :)

We are planning on staying at POR also. Have you stayed there before? Anyone? What did you think?

I have heard it's wonderful, thought of staying there myself but my youngest will be 7 when we go with the girls being 12 and almost 9. I just am not sure if my son would be confortable in a trundle bed. What do ya'll think?

Is he tall for his age? I have heard that the trundles are not that big and being on the floor might not fly. If my kids don't want to share the same bed  one of them will be using that trundle bed. My kids will be almost 10 and 6 1/2 but they are small so I'm really not that worried. My friend has 3 kids also and that's why we are thinking of staying there. Her youngest will be 6 1/2 at the time and she's wondering the same thing.

We are planning on June of 09...and for the past 2 weeks, I have been "researching" and making out various possible plans to see what will work best for us. I'm planning on the Carribean Beach Resort and I called yesterday and she said I could go ahead and book the room only, but when I tried to do it on-line, I couldn't make it happen. So I will call back today and see what's up.

My advice (as far as planning)....is stay on this board and always browse the various topics. I have learned so much here!!!

Have fun!!!
