I will be traveling along with the rest of my family in September. I know the crowds are smaller. I have always gone in the summer months. So I am anticipating it will be very nice not to have to wait two hour for a ride. DO they still do fast pass during slow times. What attractions are closed during the slow season? ANy tips?

It is still hurricane season in Florida in September. It will be warm and humid, but not like the summer. There are still Fast Pass attractions, but the park hours shorten. You can ckeck the official website for parks hours.

Yes to fast pass?
So far ice cool station is closed and the living sea in Epcot.
It is last crowed in Sept. and the longest I have waite din line for a ride was 20 min.

This will be my first sept trip also! We have been before in summer months 3 times and 1 time last march durring early spring break. so hopefully this will be a nice change~!

You know the Living Seas are closed. How do you get this information/ What a disappontment. How can I find out what else will be closed.

If you go to the WDW website and click on the Parks link you can see what attractions will be out of service for a particular park. Also, check out this link for allearsnet.com - it will list closures as well.

I guess if that is the only thing closed that is not too bad. We were supposed to go to Magic Kingdom last year for one day my dh broke his anke and we could not go. It's A Small WOrld was closed that is worse.

Ok so all of living seas is closed??? Or just the turtle talk??? Oh my, livingseas was me and dh's favs b/c we love salt water fish! :(

From what I understand, the only thing open at the Living Seas is the Coral Reef restaurant and the diving tours.

Where do ya get this info at??

KEEP READING the disboards lots of info here :earsgirl:

Fast Pass is used in September, but when the crowds are very small they do not even uncover the machines..We have seen whole days when except for a few attractions fast pass was not even used. There are days when even the biggest attractions are walk ons.

The crowd base is also differnt in September, a lot more families with pre-schoolers and retired folks. We have seen Space Mtn, Mission Space and ToT be walk ons, but long lines for Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo and Little Mermaid.

Weekends you will find more school age kids there though and there will be some short lines, but never bad at all..except for maybe Labor Day Weekend September is wonderful..... :sunny:

We were there last Sept. in between a couple of hurricanes and there was NOBODY there. The end of the week was the Jewish Holidays so it got a little worse, but not much. We did the entire MK in about 4.5 hours on our first day. I also agree with a previous post, the only attractions with any lines were the dark rides in Fantasyland. Peter Pan had a 45min. wait, Pooh: 20min., etc. Space Mountain, Splash Mountain were walk right on.

We often visit in September, and we always encounter low crowds. Last September was especially empty because of all of the hurricanes, but we got lucky and our trip fell between the storms. Last year's multiple hurricanes were unusual, and we have never had a trip impacted by a hurricane in at least 7 September visits (I think I just jinxed us for this year's trip by saying that!).

As Blueberry said, many times during low crowds in September they don't use Fastpass for some attractions when the lines are very short. Fastpass is still used, however, for the most popular rides, and I expect that it will be in use all throughout September for rides like Soarin and ToT. If you tend to arrive in the parks early in the morning, you should never have to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for anything, and many rides will be walk-ons. One final tip - if you have little ones who want to ride Dumbo, do it first thing in the morning when the park opens. Have a great trip!

::MickeyMo The Living Seas is closed?! That was my favorite part of Epcot...then again, I haven't been since 1997 when I was still in high school. I've heard it wasn't as good since they added all the Nemo stuff, anway.

Us too! We were supposed to be on the Disney Magic, but it kept getting shorter and shorter because of rerouting. So we went to WDW instead in between the two hurricanes. I've never seen such low crowds!!! It was awesome. We're going back at the end of September.
