Thought I'd have a little more in there but my dad stopped by unannounced the past 2 nights in a row and interrupted my workout! Oh, well, it can still be done! ;)

Don't get discouraged - you're off to a GREAT start!!:thumbsup2

a short walk yesterday and then I set off for a run this morning and it didn't go so well. I even swallowed a bug - YUM! :crazy2:

56 minutes

198/1500

65/500

35 minutes of cardio this morning. I'll be adding in plenty of walking today too, as we are going apple picking!

Finally feeling much better from that nasty virus I had...it had me coughing like crazy the last two weeks! Glad to be back on track, and also had a great beginning to the new school year with excellent classes to teach. :)

I came down with an awful cold and haven't done much of anything the last few days :( Today is the first day that I have felt human in a while and I am hoping to at least get a walk in.

240/1200

Welcome Everyone! We've got a week under our belts and are all off to a good start. Any start is a good start!! Even if we don't make our goal. What's the DIS motto? Something about a did not finish is better than a did not start! :thumbsup2

That being said, I am skipping my usual workouts tomorrow to go out to breakfast with friends! :rotfl: I'll have to figure something else out or not be quite so lazy and get up and just do it! After all, I've had the weekend to sleep in (kinda).

Walked to the library with my boys - 38 minute walk.

135/1000

30 minutes on the treadmill today.

Trying to go from 2x week to 3x week, so now I'm at 90/400. :thumbsup2

I've got my Grumpy face on.

Saturday I was doing a high-intensity workout video and I guess I "zigged" when I should have "zagged" because something in my back went very wrong. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get of the exercise mat. I spent most of the weekend on the couch with a heating pad and the tv remote. Which meant that I missed going to New Hampshire to help my oldest move into the dorms for her second year of college (at least it wasn't her first year, I guess).

Today I'm off to work with a bottle of extra-strenght tylenol and a 'can do spirit'.

I considered not counting the minutes that I did complete of the video - but every minute counts, right?

I'm so sorry about your back. I completely understand how that feels. I have lower back issues and it is very frustrating when you just cannot move. I'm hoping you're feeling better. Try to take it easy on yourself, but moving is also good for it, just be careful how you move. My physical therapist says no "BLTs"...as on no bending, lifting, twisting. Walking is good for it but take it easy. Heat and ice work well to soothe it too.
