I mentioned to dh yesterday that we will be saving lots of luggage space by not bringing any jeans, sweaters, etc. He said we should all bring along at least one pair of jeans "just in case." OK, I'm usually the one who packs every stitch of clothing the family owns, but since we'll be at WDW in Sept, can't I count on it being hot & humid EVERY DAY?!

I was planning on just packing shorts and summer tops and tshirts for the kids and me. And just one sweatshirt for the plane ride (in case it's chilly).

I'm bringing them...and I am a Floridian! The resturants tend to be cold at times, well for me anyway. There is nothing like a good pair of comfy jeans!

Bring Them!

I thought last time we went that "hey I'm going to be in lforida...the weather is never bad in floriday...um yeah right...BF convinced me to bring not only jeans but our bulky gortex jackets too in even of rain...
We lived in both! It was definately worth bringing the gortex b/c it rained all day while we were in the parks! BUT we were dry!

We bring one pair each. We didnt take jeans one year in Sept. and it was rainy and cold and we were miserable. Last year we took them and it was hot and humid even at night and we never wore them. But you just never know!

Not on my packing list, so probably won't end up going with us.

I can hardly stand them in the winter, no way I, personally, could deak with them in this heat.

ok, I'm the crazy one here. I don't ever wear shorts so I wear jeans the whole time we are there in September. wore them last year and will wear them again this year. yes, it's humid, but i didn't die.

I would suggest checking out the weather before you leave. While it is not 100% accurate, you can get a general idea from the long range forecast.

I've never found it cold in September, even at night. However, once in October, it was chilly.

instead of packing them, why not wear them on the plane? I am almost always cold on airplanes, and that way if it is cold where you live when you return, you'll be dressed fine. and if you do get a cool spell in wdw, you'll have them to fall back on.

we have always gone in october, and have had cool weather once in a blue moon, so we always have a pair on hand. not to mention it makes re-entry into new england easier!

I have never experienced a cool spell in September. The weather in September is usually mid 80's to lower 90's and humid. It usually rains every afternoon. Packing jeans is up to you, if you normally wear jeans in this type of weather, then fine. Maybe another type of pant instead. To be honest even in the rain, it is hot. When it rains we buy ponchos and they start to get really hot. for the forcast go here www.wesh.com Orlando really does not start to cool off until the end of Oct. I have been in November and it was still in the mid-upper 80's during the day.

This is what we do when we go in September. We rarely need them. I don't think I've worn them except for the plane rides, at all. It's fairly warm/hot there in September. Make sure you're ready for rain though!

We leave on Tuesday and we are bringing all shorts. I checked the forecast and it's not supposed to go below the mid-70s at night. Shorts will be fine for us.

I'm bringing jeans! Last year was the 1st time I went to Disney in the fall and geesh! It was so chilly at some points, I bought like 3 sweaters because every day I'd say "oh I don't need it today" but I did!!
Especially on MNSSHP last year. I needed my sweater bad! And I did wear jeans that night :)
Less than 3 weeks to go!! YEAH!!

I am not taking any. We still where shorts when it is in the low 60's at home. Been on some vacations where we woke up with frost on the windshields and we were out in shorts scraping it off. I would rather be cold than hot and I need the suitcase room for other stuff!

We are only going to bring one pair, otherwise, it's all shorts. The Accuweather Forcast for the next 15 days shows us that we really shouldn't have a cold snap, but we did want to have a pair for the night that we go out to Shutters for dinner. Maggie

Also I forgot to add, I don't think there is anything worse than walking around in wet jeans.....getting wet by rain or a ride. Since it is so humid they will never dry.

wearing them on the plane is a great idea :thumbsup2
i like to be prepared. i know the kids could handle some cooler weather but i'm a wimp. last year after wilma hit, i wore the only sweatshirt AND jacket (together) that i brought the entire time we were there.
i don't like to be cold.

I would also say wear them on the plane so that you have them when you are there. You never know. A few years ago, we were there in very early October and there was a freak cold spell and at night it went into the 50's, with a high of only about 68-70 in the middle of the day. I remember being at Illuminations wearing the only pair of jeans I had with me and a denim jacket which I had buttoned up all the way up to my neck and I was freezing!

I'm another one who wears them on the plane. Otherwise I freeze my knees!

I think that if you live in Chicago, you'll be able to get through whatever Orlando dishes up in September without jeans. If it were January, I'd say you should pack for everything, but September shouldn't be a problem. :)

I take (or buy) a jacket or sweater so that I have something to wear if the plane gets cold (sometimes planes are too hot, too) and to wear at the Hoop-Dee-Doo - it is always freezing in there.
