Sept, discounts, etc

I have been to WDW many times, but never to the fort. I want to go very badly and have announced to my husband that we are going in Sept. He keeps rudely reminding me that we need a new camper first (whatever - details!). We do have a pop up, but need/want a bigger TT now that we are foster parents and have extra kids. We have been several times in Sept, but I was wondering about Labor Day week? Does it clear out after LD? The kids and I have the weekday passes, so the weekend would just be spent hanging out and swimming. We are from FL, so I am not worried about the heat.

I think I read that the military discount could be used for the Ft. Did I imagine that or has anyone been able to use it? Is it certain "levels"?

I can't wait! It will happen, no matter what my killjoy husband says! Just kidding, he really does want to go - he is just a little more practical than me. He especially wants to bring our FD that will be adopted by then!

Called today, military discounts are available through 1 Oct 2011. Was told to call back in April for later in year. Hope this helps.

Last time we went the week before Labor Day, it was quite dead at the beginning of the week, then people starting checking in around Thursday and by Friday, it was quite full.

As far as the pop up being too small, put up a small tent in addition to it.
