Sept-Dec Room Discounts ~ Information Here

Has anyone had any luck applying the new discount to an existing reservation even though the website shows no availability?

I had booked months ago for POR standard. Recently, standard has been unavailable on website. When I called this morning, she said I could apply to existing reservation or move to king or garden. I chose garden. Hope that helps?
 
I booked on-line at 12:16am. However, I didn't see anywhere to add Disney Magical express. I have now been on hold for 45 minutes trying to talk to someone so that we can get a bus ride!

I didn't see anyway to change my reservation to add ME. Am I missing something? Should I continue to hold? Maybe I should just hang up and call back tomorrow?

That's what I'm going to do. I wanted to request a king bed and quiet(er) location but there was no where on the online booking site to note those. Plus I need ME.
 
"Screw you, Disney" is my thought process right now. I tried to call before work & couldn't get through. I tried to book online when I got to work, but couldn't complete the process because - well, I had work to do. Now that I'm on my lunch break, the availability of rooms online is terrible. All I wanted was a standard room at CSR in October.

I'm so frustrated that I ended up booking a room on Travelocity using the 10SUMMER discount code. I got a better rate than I was able to get on the Disney web site & I can always cancel if something else comes along. I had to switch to a POFQ garden view room, but maybe that's a blessing in disguise.

UPDATE: I just read about a better discount code. HOT13 gets you 13% off your room reservation. 10SUMMER is only 10%.
 
Does anyone have the discount code needed for the Moderate rooms from 12/14- 12-21? I cannot find anything on-line.

Nope, I had to cancel my AKL CL room, as my old room reservation would not take the RO discount. I made a new reservation online for Poly CL Garden view online while I waited 1 hour on hold.

Are you going within the next 6-7 weeks? If not, I'd say call back tomorrow when it's not so crazy, they never send out any tags earlier than 6 weeks, usually more like 4 weeks.

Same here, I'll call some time before November to add Magical Express but definitely not today!
 
The room I decided to go for was all booked when I returned from my daughter's school event two hours later. :( Wish I'd had time to book it before we left. Huge bummer.

CM told me to keep checking over the next few weeks though. Said that they may open up more discounted options after people shuffle their reservations around this week. My hope is fading but fingers crossed!!!

Keep checking! I suspect there are a TON of courtesy holds out there right now as folks decide what to do. Those will expire in 7 days if payment is not made.

Thinking the very same thing. I'm sure that there are lots of double bookings in the system. Still a chance of people cancelling some and having others expire after 7 days! ;)

I booked on line this morning at 7:15am (CST) while waiting on hold. We were at Boardwalk at rack rates, rebooked for the Grand Floridian for the room discount because we arrive on 12/10 so before free dining. Once the phone lines clear I'll be cancelling my Boardwalk reservation.

We're paying what seems to be rack rate for a handicapped accessible room at WL, CL, from 12/14 through 12/23. The reservation is split into 12/14 and 12/15-12/23 because free dining didn't begin until the 15th.

Now that there is a room discount, will we be eligible? The cast member told me at the time of booking that if the rates decreased, we could have ours adjusted. I thought I'd read here, tho', that you cannot combine free dining and the room discount.

You can only use one discount per reservation. You could try to get a room discount for your first night since it is separate from your FD reservation. Good luck!
 
For my trip, I kept the AAA for the first two nights and then the RO discount for the rest of my trip at the Poly. Saved $730. :)
 
Just switched form WL AAA discount to GF with the RO - same exact price! I was hoping for a WL RO to save a bunch but I have gotten over the disappointment in my excitement about finally staying at the GF - on our anniversary trip, no less. Thanks to you all for keeping the info so well updated.
