For those of you not on the FB group, we're starting to form a embarkation day meet from 3:00pm to 3:45pm in the Promenade Lounge. We also had the idea of wearing green leis in the terminal and at the meet as a way of identifying each other as part of this group.

Meeting in Diversions at 3PM on our first sea day. We're doing a NON champagne girls meeting. Nothing organized, just show up and order a drink of whatever you want.....just wear pink. Boas and tiaras are optional. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome - this includes men.

We're booked also. I was thinking of doing a back-to-back with the two-day, but the two-day was too expensive.

I wonder when the colors start changing up north and if early September is too soon. I'm also hoping that since it'll be the first day of school, there will be more adults than children on board.

hi!

Just booked this cruise today. Managed to get a Navigators Veranda. I was trying to avoid holiday weekend crowds and families trying to fit in a trip before school starts.

I was also wondering about fall color.:confused3

We have a Nav. verandah and so do our friend's. I'm wondering if you are in one the cabins that's between us and our friend's since my TA wasn't able to book the one next to us?!?

The fall colors never entered into my mind, I only booked this cruise since it's my b'day the day we embark.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Lots of celebrating to do on the cruise :drinking1 :dance3:

We haven't been on a Disney cruise for a while, so when the opportunity came along to sail on the Magic right out of our backyard, we immediately jumped on it!!!

As we get a little bit closer to the sail-away date, I'll be happy to post up information regarding hotels/locations, airports choices, restaurants, and entertainment in NYC, etc; of course if anyone needs assistance now, just reach out to me. Paul

I'm sure others will appreciate your offer. If you want to post info I'll go ahead and add it to the first post as you post it so it stays in a spot that's easy to find. I'm sure you already know how DIS'ers like to plan ahead. :thumbsup2

We'll drive up to Metropark the morning of the cruise and take NJTransit into Penn Station and then a cab to the port. DD and I did that 3 years ago when we sailed on Carnival to Canada. Now that plan may change a bit if our friends from NC join us and we go up the day before and spend the night in the city.

That's a good idea, since Metropark is right off of the Garden State Pkwy. Whenever we go down to DC, I take the train to Metropark and my wife meets me there with the car.

I've added a link to the first post that I found on the main boards today, it's for tours in St John, NB.

If anyone else finds info links they want posted in the first post just reply here and I'll add it.

Hello all. We've booked this cruise. Just the hubby and myself. We booked a Cat10A SPH! We'll be taking the Amtrak up from Maryland into Penn Station. Then a taxi onto a hotel. I'll be watching for hotel sugestions. Looking forward to this thread! :goodvibes

Sounds like lots of couples on this cruise.

Two of us celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We are getting married this September (2011) and this will be an awesome way to celebrate our first year. We are a little bit like the Brady Bunch. We are blending his 3 children and 2 dogs with my 2 children and 1 dog. Full house. So we've decided this trip is for some alone time!!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Too funny, the Brady Bunch reference. I hope you don't have a 'Tiger experience' at your wedding where the dogs ruin the cake. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

This sounds like an awesome group. We just book as well as my BFF so there are 3 of us. Deck 5 in our favorite stateroom 5622 with BFF in 5624. Looking forward to hotel suggestions. Have not figured out how we are traveling to NY from Virginia but we have a couple of options.

Where in Virginia are you? If northern, there's always Amtrak out of Union Station into Penn Station. Driving from the DC area is only 4-5 hours. Lots of good hotels in the area, it all depends on your budget. There are a few of us locals on this trip that could help out with suggestions.
