My DH, DS(he will be 5) and myself will be sailing Sept. 5, 2004. After the cruise we will be going to WDW for three days and staying at the All-Star Movies.

I just booked this cruise today - 2 adults (female friends), repeat cruisers. We're in an oceanview on deck 2, late seating for dinner. I just got off the Wonder yesterday with a different friend, and decided I needed to book another cruise before our 7-day in late November.

DCL has become quite comfortable - it's a nice relaxing trip, where people from work or home can't reach me because the cell phones don't work outside of the US!

Hi Sue!

So, you are taking 3 Disney Cruises this year? That is awsome! How do you do it? I am really looking forward to the cruise! This is my first DCL. We booked Cat. 12 as we are going to WDW after the cruise so I kind of wanted to save money that way. I think of the warm waters of the Bahamas everyday! There is alot of snow up here!:o

Yes, it's hard for me to believe it too, but in 2003 and 2004 I'm doing 4 cruises. 3 are on DCL and 1 is on my favorite line - HAL (Holland America). This year's HAL cruise is next month - a 10 day trip to the Panama Canal, with my teen son on his spring break.

The DCL cruises I do without him, and take along a friend. I'm a dvc member so I can use my points to "pay" for the cruise, otherwise I wouldn't be cruising so often.

I'm not sure I can continue the 4 cruises/year next year, as there are other places I want to visit - and since I work my time off isn't endless. The last DCL cruise was just the 3-day, and it was sandwiched between 2 business trips so with travel time I doubt it cost me any vacation time....or at least not much.

I booked a category 9 (my usual category - I don't usually splurge on a verandah on the DCL cruises), cabin 2606. I booked so far forward on purpose, hoping that our lifeboat drill station will be the Disney theater. Sitting in air conditioned comfort beats standing in a hot sweaty mob on deck 4, and since early Sept is so hot & humid still I'm hoping I made a wise decision....we'll see!

Sue-
Have a great time with your son on your trip. Sounds like take some wonderful vacations. As for us this is a big trip for us. We are campers by nature and camp about 6-8 times a summer (not a very long summer up here in WI). We just love our camper and biking up here (we have to have something like that to look forward to in the winter!) so a cruise is quite a vacation for us! We have had to stay local for so long as my husband had been in school and does not get breaks. Can't wait till July when he is finished! A nice long family vacation will be perfect for us! Not to mention a vacation that we don't have to set up the camper and make our own food! :Pinkbounc
