Just getting back. What a Great Cruise !!! Can't wait to sign up for the next one. Thank You to Mark an Mary!! It was fun talking to the DIS pals . Marks pins made that happen! A Thank You to all of the pixies ! The gifts were very nice! :goodvibes Linda sorry I didn't make it to the scrapping class. Ducky took to long! Cindy it was a great time ! Cape May was alot of fun with your family.Lisa a Big Thank You from the boys! They loved their pillow cases. Hope all arrives home safe and sound.

We had a great time on this cruise. Alot of little magical things!

We had an absolute riot at dinner each night - towards the end of the meals we had other servers coming over to our table to join in the fun! The chef (Velu, who took us on the Galley tour) sent over plates of lobster thingys! One the tables near us (people we met in the dining room) sent over a bottle of champagne. As I was leaving breakfast Thursday morning, 2 older couples sitting at a table near ours stopped me and told me that they enjoyed seeing "the young couples" at our table having such a good time together. The funny part is I didn't realize we were young! Two couples are grandparents and another couple will be grandparents after the first of the year! By the way John and I are not one of the three couples mentioned above - yet :rotfl2: .

At Epcot on Friday we rode Test Track, then after the ride we were looking at the new cars. We struck up a conversation with one of the GM reps and he then took us up to the GM lounge for soda's and a chance to relax a bit in nice comfy chairs. John took pictures of Epcot from up there.

Friday night at DTD we crossed paths with Ducky Williams. John asked him a quick question about drawings. Ducky asked us if we had any plans at that moment and then invited us to go with him over to the Art Gallery. We went over and he introduced us to one of the artists that was there and a sculpturer. He pointed out some of the different drawings and what to look for when purchasing collector pieces. We spent about 40 minutes with him and some of his friends that were there. He is one very down to earth person. Very interesting - I could listen to his stories all day long.

We are looking forward to trying to get our reservations for the 2006 Member Cruise. I bet this one will be even harder to get through when the reservation time comes!

Ok ladies and gents, boys and girls, time for a little fun!

If you participated in the picture on Castaway Cay, I have again redid the picture as last time.

Time to find yourself!

Thanks Mark! We positioned ourselves so we could find where we were later!

Panel 1, very back row, Robert in blue shirt, Linda and Robert in our "GOLDEN" Mickey Ears!!!!

Linda

We are in panel one right behind Partick and Connie.

I'll have to Ditto everyone from the welcoming gift package to 'what do I do with 4 alarm clocks'. But I must say DVC did an outstanding job! For this to be our first cruise it was wonderful and very magical. I hate that I didn't really get to chit chat with as many people as I would have liked but it was nice bumping into Kay, Cindy, Robin, Lisa, Mark, Harry, just to name a few. All Ahja could say is 'who's that mommy?'. LOL! Now we are back in the swing of things....girl scouts, soccer, cheerleading and school. How I long to be on Castaway Cay again!

I too also want to send thanks to some people:
Mark and Mary...LOVED the buttons!
Kay and Harry....Pleasure meeting you! Thank you for the t-shirts.
Linda....really enjoyed the scrapbook class. Sorry I was a little late but thank you for letting DH stay.
Lisa, Cindy, & Amy.... Thanks for the tiaras, pens, bubbles, pillow cases...all the goodies! The girls had a blast getting all of it.
And to anyone else I missed...thank you! Trust me none of it went unappreciated!

We won't be on the Oct. cruise but I'll be looking for reports. We will definitely do a cruise in 2007 if they do one~ I don't think I'll do a regular cruise...I feel like royalty now and would hate to be disappointed. :o) Oh and I truely liked this a lot better than the Homecoming. I liked the way it was ALL DVC members and we didn't have to distinguish us from everyone else. Very cool!

We are in panel #2 ALL the way in the back in the center. We all have our tie-dye Mickey shirts on that Diana did for us. Chris has Emily on his shoulders and I'm just to his left with Madison on my shoulders.

Amy - I spotted you guys right away with those shirts. They were great!

Yeah, that's part of the reason that we wore them. I knew that we should be able to spot ourselves.

/we are in panel 3 DH is in the brown shirt with his arms on his hips and I am behind him.

I'm glad the shirts came in handy!

We didn't even make it to take the picture, we had gotten our spots on the beach and Emma liked the water so much, we couldn't get her out (or did want to see the fit if we tried!)

Diana - did the girls get their DVC beach balls? Wasn't that fun seeing them on the beach! DVC thinks of everything!

I posted this on the live from thread but thought it deserved to be placed here as well.

Here are the men and women responsible for this WONDERful cruise.

Hey everyone - we're back and alive and have an offer on the house so I won't be around much till later in the week. I'd like to echo what everyone else said and say how much fun we had this cruise - AMAZING! Now I've just got to convince Matt we can handle a 7 day and then get DVC to do 7 days!

We won't be on next year's cruise (more on that to come) but cannot wait to hear all about it!

The funny thing about the beach balls is that someone would give Emma one and within 2 minutes, she'd let go and it would go sailing down the beach in the wind. So I'd say to her, that's it....all gone, no more. Within 2 seconds, someone else would say, oh how cute, here sweetie, have a beach ball....and it would happen all over again. I felt like I was in the movie Groundhog Day!

We ended up deflating one and sticking it in the bag. She's playing with it with her sister right now in fact!

YEAH DVC!!! Everyone I met was absolutely wonderful! Even when Emma tried to steal the bucket off their table! :rotfl: Thanks to Travis for letting her have it!!

"Wonder"-ing about the next S.S. Member Cruise?

When Jim Lewis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Vacation Club, announced the sailing date of the next S.S. Member Cruise during his well-attended presentation, "A Conversation with Jim Lewis," Members applauded enthusiastically! That's right; plans are already underway for the S.S. Member Cruise 2006, when Members will be "Celebrating Magical Milestones" aboard the Disney Wonder®, sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida, on Sunday, October 22, 2006.

Saturday, December 3, 2005, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT, has been set aside at Member Services to exclusively accept reservation requests for the October 22, 2006 sailing. Look for a special event invitation to arrive in homes next month with more details about the next "Wonder"-ful voyage! Moved recently? Be sure to e-mail Member Services with your new mailing address.

Disney Vacation Club will soon debut a Reservation Points chart for this special event on dvcmember.com, allowing Members use of the 11-month booking window prior to the voyage to make their vacation plans. Last year, the S.S. Member Cruise 2005 voyage sold out in just five hours and nine minutes, so be sure to mark your calendar as soon as your invitation arrives in the mail..

When calling in December to book your reservation, be sure to provide your e-mail address so you can receive regular electronic updates through S.S. Member Cruise 2006 Cruise News. This is the best way to learn all about the activities, excitement, and adventures being planned.

Be sure to check back for the latest news and information regarding the S.S. Member Cruise 2006 voyage.

I've got Dec 3rd marked on my calendar!!!

Also, on the last night of the cruise, we booked the 7-night double dip in May!! I think that we're hoping that we'll cancel the 11-night and then go on the 7-night and the 4-night member cruise.

Amy - that is great news! Welcome to the double scoop group. Stop on by and introduce yourself. It is a great group of people!
