Ok so since I have to plan it all out here's some questions:

How long does it take to drive from WDW to the Port? I think about 75 - 90 minutes?

If we are leaving a car in the secure lot should one of us get out with the luggage and one of us park the car or should we both go park the car? (oh and I remember absolutely no food or drink left in car to avoid ants)

They take our luggage (which we will have placed our DCL tags on already) and we go through security with our day bags right? Then what? I know we can check out the port and hopefully around 11:30 or so they will let us board.
Ok, I'll take a stab at these questions.

The last time that we went, it took us about an hour to get from WDW to the port.

We had Chris drop off us and the luggage at the port, then he took the car to the parking lot. Then, we got in line to go through security with our carry-on bags. You check in at the desk, then either get in line or check out the terminal. Then, sometime around noon, they start letting us board.

Diana, your good. :cheer2: Thanks. :cheer2:

Somehow I wasn't envisioning a coconut, though. :confused3

Maybe I should leave well enough alone and just be surprised. :teeth:

I love the coconut! Like I said, I've done 2 cruises and both times my Konk Koolers were served to me in red plastic cups! :confused3 And I should mention that on my 2nd cruise, those were virgin kk's I was drinking!

Wow, is it me, or is the DIS really slow tonight???

Anyway, speaking of Konk Koolers, I had gotten all the ingredients earlier in the week (except for the liquor, which we already had). And tonight, we had Konk Koolers with dinner. Boy, you can tell that I don't drink much, because I'm feeling a little sluggish after one KK.

Ok,

BUTTONS ARE DONE! :cheer2:

I have packed the kit back in the box, so no more new requests, please.

And a reminder,

one half hour till DVC chat!

In chat but don't know for how long. It's acting very slow.

Mary, maybe we'd have better luck here?

Jenny - yes they are comfortable. I will say that I don't care so much for most of the croc styles that look like garden shoes. Others however love them. That's why I purchased the Nile version. It has more of a traditional sandle look.

I like those! They did not have that style where we were shopping. I will have to look out for them and try a pair on. Thanks for the photo!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

We're all going to have fun in the sun right? So don't forget the sunscreen! The sun is stronger down in the Keys and the Bahamas than it is where most of us live. On sea days it can be even stronger if ou are out by the pool The cool breeze fromt he ship moving and the water makes you forget how strong the sun is.

Here's the tip - try the new spray on sunscreens. Especially for the ladies and girls who get their hair braided. Put sunscreen in those rows or you'll be in for a very red, very painful experience! Remember that part of the scalp doesn't see the sun too often.

Don't forget other often over-looked places like your ears and the top of your feet. Protect yourself and you can have fun at play and not be in pain the next day!

Thanks for the tip! I just read yesterday that even more important than SPF is the ingredients in the sunscreen. You should look for ones that contain zinc oxide, titanium oxide or avobenzone.

Can you tell that I am trying to catch up from all day! The girls are finally in bed and the laundry is done so I have a little time for catching up before getting ready for work tomorrow.

We should be there between 10 - 10:30.

We'll likely shoot for the same, I don't want to even remotely risk missing the boat, and I'm horribly obsessive/compulsive about such things.

Does anyone have driving directions from WDW to the cruise terminal? I'm sure I could locate them somewhere if I go looking for them. We have driven it once before but I'm not sure where we got the directions.

We are going to try and be at the terminal between 10 and 11. The longer I let the girls sleep in that morning the better off they will be. A well rested 3 yr old = a much happier family!

O.K. I'm finally caught up! I think this is it before I head to bed.

What is your earliest childhood memory? I remember spending time in Wisc. at my grandparents cabins. They owned a Bar/Gas station and 3 cabins in Gordon, Wisconsin. I remember that our big entertainment for the night would be driving to the dump to watch the bears.

What's your favorite ride at WDW? Splash Mountain! The drop kills me every time but I still love the ride.

What's your least favorite ride at WDW? The Tea Cups! :crazy2: Anything that goes in circles makes me sick.

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW? We like to eat out so this is a hard one. Probably Cape May.

What's your favorite treat at WDW? The Mickey rice crispy treats. The ones with the ears dipped in chocolate. YUMMY!

Good morning Cruisers!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

An investment in Hefty 2.5 gallon zip bags makes packing and travel much easier.

We use these bags for packing all the time. Swimsuits in one, underwear in another, t-shirts, shorts, you get the idea. If you are flying and have your bags searched by TSA you won't have anyone handling your clothes.

Now here's a tip for those with kids. Put a differnt complete outfit in each back. Underwear, socks, bottom, top. When you get to the ship just unpack the bags but don't open them. Each morning you have the clothes for the day ready. If the kids can dress themselves even better. No more mis-matched items or looking for missing pieces.

The bags also work great to take dry shirts with you on excursions or to keep your books, camera, etc. clean and dry while on CC.

20 Days!! I can't believe it!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Mary, that is THE best tip! I've been doing that for a few years now, since they started searching bags and I can't begin to say how handy and organized that makes everything. Now I even pack that way for the girls when we go away for the weekend!

I love the tip, as well as all the others. Thanks.

You've seen Walker, huh?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Today's fluffy question of the day.......

If I have a chance to ask Jim Lewis a question while on board, I will ask him.................

This question was asked last night during chat and I don't believe anyone had any good thoughts over there. So, let's see what we can come up with.

Mine would have to be "What other type of special member events are coming up down the road". The planner in me likes to know these things. :teeth:

Anyone else?

Emily is the same way. Sometimes I don't fight with her, if we're not going out of the house. But YIKES, some of the stuff she puts together.

Jim Lewis, are you hiring, because I'd LOVE to work for DVC! :cheer2:

I definitely would go with special member events, specifically maybe an annual member cruise, a 7 day of course!

But I would ask what is the 10yr plan for DVC expansion, since obviously it's becoming more and more popular with the lightning fast SSR sales. More on-site resorts? DL resorts? Other off-site unchartered places?
