Can you believe that in just 3 weeks, most of us will be getting up, having breakfast and getting ready to head to the port? It seems like we've been planning forever, and now, it's almost here.

Boy, is it just me, or is this thread kind of quiet the last couple of days. I would think that since we're only 3 weeks away that this thread would be hopping!!! :cool1:

I've starting to get my lists together of what to pack. I think that I'm going to pack a completely separate suitcase for my one day before and 2 days after the cruise at WDW. Then, I don't have to worry about that one on the cruise.

Gee, it sounds like another version of "GTKYFC" is in order -- in real words, "Get To Know Your Fellow Cruiser". I know there are a lot of thought provoking people out there.

Let's start a new list and see if we can revive this thread. A couple weeeks back, I thought for certain we'd make 10,000 posts by our sail date. Now I'm wondering if we'll make 8000. Not that the actual number matters, it's just that we were such chatter boxes. :chat:

I'll start:

What is your earliest childhood memory?

Next??

How about some WDW questions???

*****************************

What's your favorite ride at WDW?

What's your least favorite ride at WDW?

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW?

What's your favorite treat at WDW?

What is your earliest childhood memory?
I was about 5 and I had to have my tonsils out. I remember being able to eat popsicles for days.

What's your favorite ride at WDW?
I think that my favorite ride is Rockin' Roller Coaster. I just love the take-off and the music as you're flying through the ride.

What's your least favorite ride at WDW?
Hmm, this is actually a tough one. I don't know that there are any that I really dislike.

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW?
We love to go to Crystal Palace almost every time that we go to WDW. Chris loves the broccoli and the salmon.

What's your favorite treat at WDW?
We just LOVE Dole Whip in Adventureland at MK. Yum, yum, yum!!!

Looks like Amy and I were posting about the same time. Well now we have lots of questions!

Cindy - do you want to copy my questions and you can use them another time. Then I'll delete them from the post?

OK, I'll play. I just know we can make it to 10000!! I'm willing to bet the last few days, with "crunch time" packing we'll do hundreds of posts a day! Because everyone wants to pack, but most of us when we procrastinate come right here!

Earliest childhood memory. I remember going to the hospital when my brother was born. I was 2 1/2, but I guess in those days they didn't let kids in the hospital, so I remember standing by a window and my mother holding the baby up to the window. :confused3

Another pretty early one, is my first trip to Disney in 1976. I was maybe a little older than 3 and I remember sitting in the Contemporary, probably where the Concouse Steakhouse is today, drinking iced tea watching the monorail go by. I specifically remember the iced tea because it was unsweeted and I had never tasted anything quite as gross. Now, I actually prefer unsweeted tea to sweetened tea! And I also remember the little orange juices in the plastic orange containers they used to have!

We could use them when things get a little slow again. :rotfl2: Not that it happens all that often.

AH! You guys posted like crazy while I was trying to come up with my one answer to one question! Looks like I'm going to be busy!

Mary, I just printed them out. I like Amy's idea of saving them for later. I'm sure that will be later today if you want to go and edit your post.

I agree - way too many for all at once. Cindy I have them in a spreadsheet so can upload them again.

Let's go with your question and Amy's!

How about some WDW questions????

*****************************

What's your favorite ride at WDW? Carousel of Progress, Test Track 2nd.

What's your least favorite ride at WDW? Rock n Roller Coaster :crazy2:

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW? BOMA

What's your favorite treat at WDW? Mickey Bars! :mickeybar

What is your earliest childhood memory? I'm thinking it was sometime between 2-3 years old. I remember standing up in a crib out on our back porch on the West Side of Chicago. Way back before air conditioning. I think I must have been in a crib because I was the easiest way to keep me out of mischief on the second story porch. Back then on hot summer nights the family would sleep outside on the porch. Unheard of today.

What's your favorite ride at WDW? Wow this is hard. Right now I would say Soarin'. Loved it at DCA and I'm so glad it came to Epcot!

What's your least favorite ride at WDW? Jungle Cruise. It was always corny, but now with Animal Kingdom and real animals to see we just don't do it any more.

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW? This is way too hard to just name one so I'll do a couple. Besides our DVC villa :) Favorite in Magic Kingdom - Liberty Tree Tavern. Favorite in Epcot - LeCellier Favorite lunch - Kona Cafe Favorite Nice Dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse!

What's your favorite treat at WDW? Used to be Pooh's Honey Pots but we couldn't find them on our last trip. So I'm going to go with the Pretzel bread at LeCellier.

What is your earliest childhood memory? Sitting in my granfather's lap driving his boat on a Long Lake. He used to have a true Chriscraft all wood ski boat. My family used to spend 1 day most summer weekends at a beach on the lake. It's been many, many years since anyone even went there.

What's your favorite ride at WDW? The Original Tiki Room. Not the 'under new managment' version as it already seems dated and hopefully they'll realise that and go back to what it should be with the timeless music, one of the best parts of the show.

What's your least favorite ride at WDW? Body Wars.

What's your favorite place to eat at WDW? Oh that's hard. I don't think I have just one as there simply is too many excellent restaurants of great variety down there. I would say one thing I make a point of getting to is Kona Cafe for the Beef Teriyaki Salad.

What's your favorite treat at WDW? Orange Dreamsicle Fudge from the Main Street Candy store.

Good Morning!! This was a good idea. It has been quiet the last couple of days :Pinkbounc Here are my answers:

1. It's a Small World - it is so CUTE!! - I can't wait to see the changes.

2. Honey, I Shrunk the Audience - 3D Movie - has mice & snakes

3. Teppanyaki - Japanese rest at Epcot

4. Anything from the French Bakery in Epcot - YUMMMM!!!!!

My earliest childhood memory was going to church w/my grandfather. I had this cute dress on with wht anklet socks & black patent shoes. I have a pic of me sitting in a rocking chair before we went to church - it may have been Easter Sunday. I was about 5.

Lisa - you and Mike always confuse me. I thought it was Mike posting until I read about the dress and white anklet socks! :rotfl2:
