Speaking of chatty, who all was in chat? I got the feeling that some of the others who post on this thread were there but under different names. Is that right? I need a translation book. :teeth:

Wow - good question. Let's see who I can remember.

There was you, me, and Mark. :)

Amy (alikat99)
Cheryl (CherylP3)
Mona (goofy4dvc)

Can't think of anyone else. If I missed you check in!

Mary (iluvdisney) is usually in chat but was on the road yesterday.

tkd Lisa was on the 10 day with us.

lbgraves - also a Lisa - is a regular in chat.

Danny is a chat regular.

KarenNY is the chat host.

Those are the ones I remember most.

Bill, I'm glad Lisa got in touch with you. I didn't realize your were not aware of the surprise. We certainly would not want the kids left out.

I'm sorry Angela is still recovering. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will be ones of great progress. :wizard:

Hm... something else I should probably add to the website. Any objection Cindy? What I was thinking to do is mention you're arranging the kids fun and putting a link to your most recent post with the kids list on it.

I'm actually posting two days in a row-this may be a new record for me as a lurker :rotfl: We used the magnetic note pad on our hurricane Jeanne shortened cruise last September. While it was originally intended as away for my sister and I to keep track of each we often found notes from fellow cruisers on it instead. We never met them or knew how many but it was fun to go back to our room and read the messages left in our absence. We bought a laptop a few years ago and can't imagine traveling without one now. Janet is a pin collector and we log on in the morning to see if any surprise pins were released during our stay. I carry a notebook with me too. It comes in handy for jotting down notes for trip reports and notes for where I've seen a souvenier I may want to go back to buy later. One of these days I'm going to have to start working on my door sign. I am getting very excited about the cruise.

Rose - now that you've posted two days in a row you have to keep going!

Cindy - I think we are going to hit post #4000 while you are gone. We have less than 80 to go!

I think we all are. It's getting close now. :teeth:

My DH has never activily participated in any of our trip planning. The cruise is changing all that. Watching my DH so excited is like watching a child in the anticipation for Christmas. :bounce: :bounce:

DH is reading this thread - I've encouraged him to join in but he's not ready (yet). Just a couple of minutes ago we were talking about door magnets and he's already designing some in his mind. I know he will do a much better job than I would because he's much more creative and artistic than I could ever been. Details are very important to him so I know if he takes on the challenge, we won't be disappointed.

By the way, keep joining in. I think the closer we get to the cruise, the more fun this thread is going to be. :jumping1: Who knows what's up next? :rotfl:

Mark, maybe you'd want to put a packing list up to on the site w/ stuff like the shoe organizer, door magnet, fish extenders, etc.? It could have everything we've mentioned so far (as far back as when Mary shared her passporter tip). I think it might be helpful?!? That way it'll be in one place instead of searching through the posts for it. I'd be happy to compile it of you want and then e-mail it to you :)

Sure, go for it! Planned on being inside all this weekend (heat advisories.. ) and will have time to do updates. :)

Actually, Lisa (HoodonWDW) is the instigator (I mean initiator ;) ) of the kids surprise. I'd be surprised if she has any objections, but you might want to check with her to be sure.

The project idea was Lisa's and as far as I know, she's doing ALL of the real work. I helped with the financial part of the endeavor. I started the list of kids to see who else was going and then the two just mingled together (rather nicely :goodvibes ).

Ah, I see. ok, I'll check with her too. :)

So you don't want me to shut up this morning. I still have over 2 hours to go. :rotfl:

...I'm one too :sunny:

So, Mark agreed to post a list I compile w/ all the things we think are "neccesities" for this trip. For example "Fish Extenders" :rotfl2:

If you can remember the items we've mentioned so far (even those we discussed when Mary announced her Passporter news) PM me w/ it. I'll then send the list to Mark and he'll post on his site to make packing a bit easier.

Off to work now...don't be too chatty :goodvibes

Don't forget the blinky-blinks!

OK a confession; I started the Blinky Flippy Floppy Thingies craze to just to give my Walmart stock a boost. Is that insole (insider) trading, or just starting at the ground level? LOL,

On Fish Extenders, if you can’t find one we found a hangie pocket thingie at the Dollar Store, with a little creative decoration it would work.

We are sorry we missed Chat last night had a SCUBA Class.

A long time ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away, I gew up in Franklin Park. For those of you still in the Chicago area, enjoy and savor the taste of Italian Beef, real Pizza, and Vienna Hot dogs, these gastronomic items are hard to find in the rest of the world. Did find a Bono’s Beef join in Las Vegas.

Cindy, I would enjoy a report of HH, as we have never been there. Thanks. So how is the new laptop???? LOL

I also usually don’t sleep the night before a trip, just excitement for me. Kinda like the kids and parents in the WDW commercial.

I also keep a small notebook for the same reasons. Lynn is the journal person, we get those nice hard bound guys for that. Nice but cheap at the Dollar Store. The journals came in handy as I had to list all my foreign travel for the past 10 years for some work paperwork.

Mary , good points about documents, and stuff not to forget. Yes Mark that would be good for the web site. Can’t we print some of the Cruise Documents from the DCL website??

Bill, we wish Angela the best, and I think Mary is correct about the wheel chairs being available on the ships. I am pretty sure Joe and Leslie used one.

Lists are a good thing.

WOW that was about 10 + pages caught up this morning, now to watch the rest of the Tour de France.

I work on Friday nights till 2:30 am, I found myself getting out of bed at 8:00 this morning to see what I missed, boy did I have some catching up to do. You guys really make me want to get a pedicure now. I will just have to add that to my things I have to do before the trip. I can't wait!

Have a great time in HH, Cindy!! I'm off to go tax-free shopping today. I'm hoping to get to Walmart, but ours is ALWAYS a zoo, so I know it will be even worse since there's no tax this week. Oh well, if I can't get blinkies, then I'll just have to suffer without.

Amy, if you can't get blinkies, just let me know. I live 2 seconds from Walmart and I'm there almost every day. (Yes, I have a shopping problem!) I'll grab you a pair....or anyone else that wants them and doesn't have a chance to get to Walmart!

Ooh--I almost forgot....and then I'm leaving because we are going blueberry/raspberry picking. Remember when I said last night if we won the mega millions $170 mil jackpot I'd charter the Magic for us all? We'll guess what.....

WE WON!!!! Yup $2.....yes, I mean TWO, One, Two Dollars, not million, not hundrend....2 lousy bucks!! It will cost me more in gas to go and redeem my ticket!!! :rotfl2:

Maybe next time......

Haven't bought the laptop yet -- if you see me post before next Sunday, it will be on a new one we found at HH. :teeth: But then I'll be on dial up and it will be so slow. :faint:

I have to stop talking about how wonderful HH is. If I'm not careful, we won't be able to get a villa there because they will already be booked by other DISer's. Hilton Head is very different from WDW. It has the same "feel" of the WDW resorts, but absolutely no hustle and bustle to get anywhere. It's great for relaxing. We've spent a week every summer for the last 4 years (this is our 5th) and would love to spend 2 consecutive weeks. People who ask if their kids get bored don't know how to have fun with their kids and nature. We always find something wonderful to do.

I'll see if I can dig up a couple of pictures while we're waiting for the limo. :teeth:
