Thanks Gail! It is great to live so close that we can decide on a whim to go to Disney. Heck, there have been a few Sunday afternoons that we decided after church to just head over there because a pin was being released.

We're not pin traders, but we love getting some of the passholder or limited edition ones.

I'm having the same problem. I just got home from shopping (for the cruise ) and found DH reading my Passporter. I think this is a first that he's interested in helping plan one of our vacations.

DH tells me I have to share. I guess I'll just read over his shoulder.



I hunted down one of the clear over the door shoe holders. It took 3 different stores to find one in stock. So, for anyone whose procrastinating and plans to buy one, I would not put it off much longer. The one Target told me they sell a lot this time of year because of college kids taking them to school. Just a heads up.

Thanks for the repost of the grocery website--- we'll definately put it on the list of "must-sees" while in Key West. Kind of a scouting expedition for our 7-day cruise in November with the rest of DH's family.

We don't get the DVC newsletters! It's a good thing I read the DISboard! We didn't know anything about the DVC Homecoming either! Too bad we missed it.......We were going to try to come to the meet at Downtown Disney yesterday with a gift for GKTW, but we wanted to see the shuttle go off, and then.....it didn't!

. . . so, as I was flipping through my binder for this trip (yes, I keep a binder with all relevant info, and yes, I understand that I may be a little over the top with my planning/organization), I suddenly realized that I had not made our ME ressies or DCL transfer ressies (we don't want to have to touch luggage this trip). Good thing that MS is open late on Thursdays.

Pam - we are doing a binder too. I usually only use a ticket holder/passport case for trips (and will again on this one) but when we do a road trip I make up a full binder. Print out of all the maps showing our route. Print outs of the hotels we are staying at. Our confirmations from DVC. I also do print out of things like Cracker Barrels along the route (you can always find a good clean bathroom and something to eat there).

On our road trips, we've always printed out the locations of Waffle Houses. DH & the kids really love their hash browns. Gary mentioned just last week since we are flying to Hilton Head, he won't get his Waffle House fix. I'm sure he'll survive.

I'd much prefer the bathrooms at Cracker Barrel over the ones at Waffle House.

Mary, didn't I first meet you and Mark at the Cracker Barrel by Gurnee Mills? Or was it at the mall the next day? I remember looking through your scrapbook from the first member cruise. That's when I decided if there was ever another member event, we were going.

Cindy - yes we first met up at the Chicago area meet in Gurnee (the only one we've made it to). We had lunch at Cracker Barrel followed by setting up shop at the food court in Gurnee Mills. That's when I brought out the scrapbook.


Mary (IluvDisney) and Gail (#1 Mouse) saw the same scrapbook when we went to a Detroit, MI meet the following year.

You know we've never stopped at a Waffle House. We always usually eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel. For lunch on the road we look for either a Chick*fil*a or a Sonic. Two things we can't get around here.

Not famililar with the Sonic - but I did have a shake from there last August when we were in South Carolina, and it was excellant. Maybe it's best we don't have a Sonic around here.

After reading the breakdown of the kids, I feel bad were not bringing our 11 yo dd. She would have a blast with the kids. Ok, bad feeling over! We are going on a cruise in December and because we have to work around 3 college/work schedules and hers, she will end up missing a few days of school just before Christmas break so I didn't want to take her out for the week in September too.

Okay, I have a cracker barrel, chik-fil-a (or as one of my sisters calls it chik a fil) and Sonic all close by. Any one want to come and visit??? Isn't it funny how you have certain places you like to eat that are never close enough. Guess that is why they are "special". When we travel to Michigan we have a list of food places we have to hit while up there. A&W drive in use to be one, but with us now having Sonic (had it for dinner last night) A&W isn't as necessary as it was in the past (gotta love their root beer though). Also my latest craving when going north is Olga's. Hey Gail, since you are flying down in September maybe you could bring some down!!!

Hey everyone! Well, we're still planning on dropping by WDW this weekend. Does anyone need anything while we're there? Souveniers, pins, etc. I know that we'll all be there in about a month, but just in case, I figured that I'd offer.
