Tried to start a thread a while back, but now that we are getting closer, is there anyone else going ? Or maybe we will have the ship to ourselves:rotfl:

Hi, Tink11! I think you might be all alone, but don't worry--I started a thread for the cruise right before yours (Sept. 27 on the Wonder) and I've only had one reply. I guess we'll all enjoy Mickey and friends and the ship to ourselves.:rotfl:

Mr. Brit and I'll be there....without the child! Yikes!

We're on it :thumbsup2 .

Me, DH, DD's and DS and my sis, her DH, and her DD. :)

(though she is going to want to commit me if I mention I have to go meet internet people.:rotfl2: So it'll be our little secret!:rolleyes1 )

Any special plans while on the cruise? I'm thinking of swimming with the dolphins.....

Just seeing who else will be cruising Sept 30th. It's been awhile since doing this (posting). we cruised in 2005!

Our options this cruise are a tad limited....we will be going on this one just 9 days after finishing a 7-day on carnival....

We are truly going just b/c we want to get on the mouse-boat.

Chatting with my sister---we are going to venture to Atlantis--do the dig i uf it seems appealing. From what I understand though---plenty of things to see for free using the "window shopping" method of touring.

Also we are limited b/c in our group we have 2 under-2yo's and a 7 and 4 yo.

We may do the carriage ride if a reasonable price can be negotiationed---but I am picturing something like $25 per person or more....which to me is expensive. (i think they charge like $40 or so in St. Augustine which to me is crazy per person). Sure they have a carriage and horse to maintain--but good grief, those horses must be eating gold!

Just checking in... the cruise is getting closer, and I'm getting excited:yay: :yay: We are also staying at Disney after the cruise, have to go to MNSSHP, we had a blast the last time we went!

Hey there everyone!

We're going and its going to be our first cruise ever so we're very excited. It is me, DH, and our son Alex. Because of his age there aren't a lot of extra activities we can do but we're still planning on having fun. I think we'll be doing the Atlantis aquarium tour and then lay out on the beach. I can't wait until the 17th when we can start making our activity reservations!

Doin the happy dance:dance3: , I just paid off the cruise in full! airfare is already paid for, ressies are made for hotel before the cruise, now just need to rent a BIG van, and finish paying off the Disney World part of our vacation!
Crzyforpiglet, I'll be in Royal Oak today, gotta take my DD to the Doctor (at Beaumont) small world huh?

My throat is on fire today! I work from home doing telephone calls (incoming only :cool1: ) and had to clear my schedule for this morning and just removed my schedule for tomorrow morning! This thing needs to settle down as it is encroaching on my money earning!

In any case!

DS's passport just arrived today. We applied June 8th and paid for the expedited processing. So we are all passported up! Looking at my girls passports--both were done when they were 15 months and 3.5 ---so little and so long ago! They have 18 months left on their validity then they will have to be replaced.

Haven't thought anymore about what we are doing--but I did get my whatcha-ma-thingy in the mail....from DCL that tells you all the tips and such and gives you your date when you can do your activities reservations. That was a pleasant surprise in our mailbox when we returned from our weekend trip.

Happy planning everyone!

Maybe this will mean mega upgrades and low crowd sailing for us all. One can only hope.

I didn't get anything in the mail:confused3 Don't really want to book anything, except the banana boat ride at CC. I really hope the kids will stay in the clubs this year, really looking forward to some "me" time, even if its for an hour.
My kids traveling with us are: DS-16, DS-16, DD-13, DD8, DS-6, DD-4. And My adult stepson and his wife, my adult DD and her boyfriend, my parents(Dad is 75 and his first Disney Cruise!), my sister and her granddaughter(5). Kind of a mini reunion, parents are in Fla, stepson is in Texas.
Not going to do passports this trip, all the younger kids traveling are adopted, and I need to go to the court to get original adoption decrees to send in with the app.

I still can't believe there are so few of us on the disboards going on this cruise. Maybe we will have the ship all to ourselves! I am so excited we got our shore excursions set even though we did have a little problem with one of them but we got it all straightened out. My biggest victory is convincing my husband to let me put our son into flounder's for a couple of hours while we do a couple's spa! So now I guess we just sit and wait again until our cruise stuff comes in the mail? How about anyone else - what shore excursions are your families doing? Let's get some discussion going - we're leaving 10 weeks from Sunday!

Oops! I asked everyone else (I know you're out there) what shore excursions they picked but didn't say what we were doing! DH and I are doing the Dolphin encounter at Nassau and then the couples spa on our at sea day. We're kinda limited b/c we'll have our son who'll be not quite two on the trip. I'm sure he'll have a great time though! Tink - we're also going to WDW after the cruise. We'll be staying at the WL and I'm so jealous you're doing MNSSHP! DH and I have done it in the past but our son is usually in bed by 9p and didn't think it was worth it for him this year. You'll have a great time though!

Glad to see someone else post here:banana: We don't have much planned for the cruise part, trying to pin down 21 people to make some ressies is tough! I have done the dolphin swim in Nassau, It's a blast! A few want to go again, but I'd like to go to the pirates museum, and the straw market, and cable beach! so who knows what will actually happen. I do want to go on the banana boat ride again at C.C.
I hope my kids will stay in the clubs this year! They are all signed up.
We plan on arriving on Sat. staying at the residence inn. How about everyone else?
We are staying at pop century for 4 nights after the cruise, I can't wait for MNSSHP on Friday the 5th. Not so crowded, and the kids loved it!

Holy cow Tink - 21 people! Sounds like if everyone wanted to do the same thing you could have a shore excursion all to yourself! We're arriving the day of the cruise and then afterwards spending just 3 nights at WL. Maybe we'll be on the same shuttle to the resort? It may sound crazy but I'm thinking of getting the suitcase out and start packing some stuff. With our son and all of his gear I'm thinking it'll be easier to start now so I don't forget anything - plus I've got to find something to do to fill the next 10 weeks! I just got a new suitcase from e-bags and I can't wait to try it out. It is cross between a suitcase and duffle bag so there are two compartments you can pack separately. I'm going to put all of his diapers, cups, and special cruise toys in the bottom and then pack his clothes on top. I'm hoping it'll be easier to pack and get to stuff when we're away. Oops - my little one is getting up for the day so I gotta get going!

Just bumping us up so that hopefully some other cruisers will come join our thread! 10 weeks from today we're all going to be cruising the Atlantic - woohoo!
