Which do you think would be busier? Sept 28th (Th) or Oct 4th (W)?

I have been tentatively planning our next WDW trip for late Nov/early Dec., but with the free dining that is now being offered I am sorely tempted to bump the trip up to late Sept/early Oct. Our district has off on Mon. 10/2 for Yom Kippur. I would incorporate that into our days and either go 9/28 - 10/3 or 9/29 - 10/4. So everything else being equal, which of those 2 days is likely to be busier? Thanks for any input! :thumbsup2

Edited To Add: For that matter, I guess it wouldn't make much difference if we went 9/30 - 10/5. So I guess the point is, would the last few days of Sept or the first few days of Oct. likely be busier?

I'm so interested to hear people's opinions...when I saw this deal last night I convinced my husband to go for it. We have 10/2 off as well.

I'm also interested in the weather temps that time of year...I need to check out some sites on that.

I did get the travel insurance just in case! :thumbsup2

We have been to Orlando twice during that general timeframe. It was HOT (by our standards), but not miserably hot. We definitely drank more water than at cooler times, though! Try to schedule a nice meal in AC to cool off for a while, also you can fill in the major attractions with some less popular but air-conditioned ones. One thing I would change about WDW, I wish they had more "wet" rides.

I think that weekend is going to be very busy, especially now that free dining is back and MNSSHP starts that weekend. Many schools have off on that Monday too, so that will add to the crowds. We went last year during that weekend and we found the parks to be more crowded than expected. So I guess the answer to your question is that it probably won't matter which day you start your vacation. Have fun!
