FatCat, since you are coming from far, far away when and where do you do you liquor shopping?

We went to ABC in PC on our last trip and I am curious if there is a better location between MCO and the port on Saturday morning.

I found this on the kids thread

Nahhh... We pay top dollar and goto ABC in Port Canaveral.

We only have to make it until Tuesday. Stock up Duty Free.

On the Western you can stock up in Key West the next day.

Is there a liquor store close to the port in St. Marteen? I always think of hard liquor when I think duty free. What about wine, is it readily available?

I believe we are meeting in the terminal for distribution of id cards.

I think the partying outside of the Budget Rental Car shuttle Booze Bus will start once I hear.

"Please Welcome aboard FatCat and his family from Chicago Illinois" over the large PA in the main lobby.

Unless of course my carry on bag does not fit through the x ray machine. I may have to make room on the spot.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Too funny!

Okay, so we've booked Nick Hotel for the 2 nights before the cruise. Kids are excited to stay there. DD6 can't wait to be "slimed". Paying $308 total with a $25 fee if we cancel.

Well, now DH is second guessing our decision and is thinking he wants to stay at the Dolphin. We found a rate (2 dbl beds, limited view) for $265 total . (BTW, can anyone tell me what a limited view may be like?) Problem is, I think DD is going to be upset. I know that WE will enjoy Dolphin better...what to do????? I wish men weren't so indecisive...

We also have 2 boys willing to meet new friends. ages 6 and 8.

Lets not forget Friday is cruise chat night! 8 pm to 9 pm central time.

I all. So much going on and only time for a "me" post.

Pam: Any word from Gradysmommy?

I am leaving for 5 days to Minnesota to see my sister and my new baby neice. She is only 3 weeks old!! Can't wait. So I'll be needing an S-T wrap up by Monday or Tuesday!! ;)

Have a great weekend all. Just praying that the horrible sinus infection I seem to have will be held at bay during take off and landing with the huge dose of decongestant I plan on giving myself while waiting on the tarmac as that wait is inevitable when leaving from Newark airport.

For only $65, I would go ahead with the original plan. If your DD is that excited about the Nick hotel she will be upset, plus it's good to experience new things. I think that the look on her face when she is "slimed" will be worth your $65! :)

I got my cabin number!!!!:cool1: I booked a cat. 6 guarantee and I was assigned 8062. I believe that is an upgrade, right?:banana:

It is 2 against one, but maybe that's not an honest way of looking at it. ;) Look at what you will be doing while there. What do both have to offer for you, DH and DD? Worst case scenario, buy yourself some slime, and slime her yourself at the Dolphin. :rotfl:

It is! You got yourself a cat. 4! Congrats!

I'm starting to believe I'm a parttime TA. I got a reputation of finding cheap flights. Which I happen to like. :rolleyes1:rolleyes::angel: But, that reputation is starting to make me work. Hmm. Right now I'm busy finding the ubercheapest ticket to Thailand for my brother and sister. My poor uncles do not know what they're in for. They're living (parttime) in Thailand and Australia. Normally, hardly any family comes to visit except my addicted-to-thailand-parents. Well, this year is different. :rolleyes1 My parents went this spring, in october 3 uncles and 3 aunts are going. They come back in november, then my parents are going back again. They'll be back in december, at which moment bro and sis are planning on being there.

Can you imagine? Moving litterally to the other end of the globe, thinking you got some peace and quite, only to find out about 3 decades later; here comes a busload of family. :scared1::laughing:

If it were me, I'd stay at the Nick Hotel. I think that for the rather small difference in price, your DD is going to have such fun memories of being slimed, and she's at that age where she might not be into it *at all* next time. I think that the photographic evidence you'll get it well worth the price! :goodvibes

Awwwww, I'm sorry to hear about your sinus infection, Hon! BUT, I hope you have a lovely trip and a great weekend!!

LOL - at least your uncles know that their little slice of Thailand-heaven is really as great as they think it is. ;) And, I would just recommend charging a little bit of an "upcharge" for your services....afterall, you've got to fund your next Disney trip, right? :rotfl:

Nah, it's on an eaten cotton candy stick. :rolleyes1

I already told them it's going to cost, but they are all bad customers, no paying of the bills. :headache::rolleyes: But I shouldn't complain, really. I tend to get sponsored for enough trips and knowing my parents, I wouldn't be surprised if they would sponsor a future disney trip.:cloud9:

Good luck for all of those with GTY bookings, by the way! Today should be the day apparently. Fingers crossed for all! No upgrade here though, so unfortunately you wont be upgraded to our stateroom, Julie. :confused3;)

LOL - yeah, a eaten cotton candy stick...that's what I'm just going to keep telling myself. ;)

And, I know what you mean about relatives not being the best about paying their bills... :lmao:
