Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

There's a carnaval at my village this weekend with all kinds of things organized around it, so maybe I'll check that out. Will be hanging out with a friend, and that's about it. (sht, also have to do some :laundy: but don't want to be reminded of it :headache: )

Sounds like you'll have a great weekend. :thumbsup2 Have a great workday!

Awwww, that sounds so great. I don't know what your carnivals are like there, but ours are full of good, fattening food, silly games, and...barnyard animals. I hope you have a great time!

And, I may be crazy, but I actually love doing laundry...it's the sweeping and mopping that I detest. Should we trade?

We are going to the Dublin Irish Festival this weekend. It's a nifty little festival here in Columbus, and I love Irish things -- need to plan a trip to Ireland one of these days. :rolleyes1 Other than that, not much. Might take Luke fishing some more. He got a much wanted fishing rod for his birthday yesterday, among other things. :goodvibes

That sounds really fun too. And, I, too, can only dream of one day going to Ireland...DH would be in golfing heaven, and I would be in photographic heaven. :cloud9: If I could only tear myself away from these darn Disney trips...

And, :bday: to Luke!! It sounds like he had a good one!

And, about pictures, I am actually taking my new little camera (waterproof and shockproof...which are both probably a requirement for a drunken night on the town) so some photographic evidence *might* just appear on my Facebook page. :upsidedow

Actually it doesn't compare. :) While carnavals are known and do compare a fair bit, our province is a bit of the odd one. We do it 'hardcore', so to say. Besides the rides, food and activities there is, well, a lot of drinking. Basically it's days of continious partying. Think it's about 4 days here, don't know.

Don't really care for this one, am waiting for the one in the village I was born -and will move back to one day-. That carnaval totally rocks! There are about 1800 inhabitants of the village, yet during the 5 day carnaval we'll get thousands of visitors. Big, big thing. Whole village is decorated in fishing and flower theme. It's a fishing community, and on day 4 the whole fleet will set sail, boats decorated and every visitor that wants to can come along. Such a great thing to see; 50 decorated ships sailing in a line, loaded with folks on them. After wards a big eat out with fish, all kinds of activities, this year the Queen will be there etcetc. And of course; lots of options for the adults to have a drink. Very very laid back atmosphere during those days, basically anything goes as long as you do no harm or break serious laws. Heck, my parents neighbourhood always organize their own party place. Block off the street, grab some seats and tables, install a beer tap right there on the street and partying they go for 5 days. Bruce Springsteen eat your hart out! popcorn::

Yep, normally totally not allowed to drink on the streets but during those days it 'goes unnoticed' as long as it's harmless fun.

Sounds like a deal to me!! Read; I have my sweeping and mopping done, so that's easy. ;)

WOW - that does sound just incredible!! :worship:

All of your weekends sound fun. :snooty: And mine sounds sad :sad1: With trying to save for the cruise..and we still need to pay for the rental van...which btw is  TICKING me off. We need to rent a mini van for 2 1/2 days and the average ANY rental company wants is close to $300 :scared1: FOR 2 DAYS  that's just maddening. And then due to the flights home we are not able to leave till BRIGHT AND EARLY  on Monday morning so we need to rent another van for those 2 days. pirate:

Oh and other bad news...I had all my plans laid out for the few days prior to the cruise, and on Friday morning we were all going to do a swamp boat tour..it is a small tour with just your family and the captain...well, since there are 7 of us the lady who is in charge of booking said there is a weight limit...told me how much the captain weighed :rotfl: not sure he liked that and then told me to figure out everyone else and to make sure they all fall under the maximum...well, DH and DBIL are BIG guys so we are OVER wwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh I really wanted to do something very "Floridaish". We are doing the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review on Friday night but all day Thursday and most of the whole day on Friday are empty. Any thoughts or suggestions? We simply cannot afford DW with 7 of us :guilty: but any thing not so EXTREMELY pricey would be good.

Anywhosin back to this weekend  DH might take the kids to our gyms pool to swim, I will do the NEVER ending :laundy: and the dishes..I need to start getting our :teacher: school schedule ready...home school starts in 2 weeks :scared1: sooooo not ready. I really wanna go to dinner tonight...been wanting Chevys for days now, and the kids usually do very well at dinner their..well the girls do :rotfl2: the boys :hyper::hyper: on the other hand can handle it for a few minutes..just keep shoving chips in their face and they don't get as antsy  I think Macy has another UTI so she has a DR.s apt today at 11:45, then off to Walmart to go grocery shopping. So yes as you all can see just FILLED with fun :rotfl::rotfl: have an AWESOME weekend everyone. :flower3:

Well, looks like we'll be spending the weekend at home. We went back to the pediatrician today and Bailey's flu test came back positive so he has swine flu. It's definitely not as scary as the media has made it anymore. Pretty much I have to give him tylenol and let it run its course. I'm just glad we know what he has now. It's been scary having a 6 wk old with a fever. How many days until vacation?

Rental rates are outrageous!!! We looked into renting just for the drive down, and then again the drive home, and for us, one way rentals are just insane. And why would we want to pay for a rental that sits at the terminal for a week anyway? :confused3 Good luck with your search!

OK but no fruit.

Why is the Disney Cruise does not have umbrellas for their drinks? :confused3

Last cruise someone brought like 250 umbrellas and dispersed them. It was quite the first meet and greet happy hour in the promenade lounge.

Two of the Concierge guests brought their cheese trays down. popcorn::

I got there first (Go Figure) and informed them they would need more staff. They did not believe me until we took over the entire lounge.

Pam, good to hear you're still hanging in there in between all of the wedding planning. Have a great shower!

My weekend is taking a bit of a inconvenient d-tour. My doors are connected to a system so they can be opened and closed by using a remote. Great system, when it works. ;-) Opened my door, wanted to close it again but nothing. Had parents reset and try some other stuff, but nothing works. At least the door is closed now, but not being able to get in or out is a bit of a pain. So, I'm waiting for the repair guy to come around. With it being weekend and night, they hardly have anybody covering the shift, so supposedly it will take about 1.5 hours before somebody will get here. :headache: Oh well, at least I wont have to pay the bill. Would've been pretty p*ed off otherwise, this happens about 4 times a year.
