I LOVE Riverside!

Any Tips of must dos/sees I've been to resort before for dinner at boatwrights so I've seen resort and we did boat to DTD.

Well, it depends on how long you are going to be there and who all is going to be there! I love Boatwrights for breakfast, but they aren't serving b-fast anymore.

We've also done the fishin' hole. It's fun, but better early in the morning when it's not so hot out yet. I loved the main pool w/ my kids, but the quiet pools are great too! You can also take a carriage ride in the evenings. Or walk the path over to French Quarter and get some beignets!!!! Yummy!

Of course, we do the boat to DTD. Our daughter also did the kids pirate cruise, which leaves for about 1 or 2 hours right there from the marina. She was 4 when she did it and she LOVED it. She still talks about it today! Riverside is just so nice to walk around, the grounds are so pretty.

Oh yeah - if Yeehaw Bob is playing in the bar (the RiverRoost, or something like that), go see him! He's a piano player/singer and he's fabulous! Really gets the crowd going.

Hi all,we have just switched from the 4 night Wonder to this cruise.

This will be a Mom and kids cruise only..Including me PenskeSth1(44),DD Tiffany(20), DS Davey(11)

This will be our 4th DCL cruise....We are excited!

First of all great to have you and your kids sail with us. I just had to comment about your saying.."would keep the AC at 60 but can't afford the electric bill" that is sooooo me. We live in Northern Ca..and as you do we have MANY MANY days of temps well over 100 and 110+ is not unheard of . Last year we had 56 days of 100+ degree temps..34 of them IN A ROW.. and 4 of them were 115. So we were TAXING our AC to the LIMIT..we paid the price...literally.. We got our PG&E bill [pacific gas and electric] it was $1267 I BUSTED out crying DH was like "well, babe you can't have it both ways" But it did teach me that I can live in a house that is 76 degrees I might not like it but I like to keep more of my money and not give it away

I don't think that the new menus hit The Magic until next month. That being said, The Wonder has already changed and the new menus are getting mixed reviews....at best.

Hopefully by the time we sail, any hiccups that might happen with the switch will have been worked out.

So new menus for the Magic in June, huh?? I agree with you and hope that any guest dissatisfaction with the menus is addressed before our cruise. One of my main cruise goals is to eat well and plenty so DCL better make sure what they're serving is fantastic. Here's hoping..

Now DH wants to go up 2 nights before!

We're trying to decide between Beach Club, AKL Savannah View, or Wilderness Lodge. We are kind of leaning towards Beach Club. AKL would be awesome, but I think dining options may be better (and a little more casual) at BC.

Lucky you! Of your choices, I would personally opt for the Beach Club. Your kiddos will love Stormalong Bay (the undisputed best pool in all of Disney World). Either of those three, though, you really can't go wrong. Let us know what you decide!!

Me too! I'm definitely not a picky eater though, so I'm sure I won't have any problems!!!

We are staying at Coranado Springs for 2 nights after the cruise. We've never been there before....is it nice? We normally stay at Shades of Green, but we were able to get a military discount, so we decided to try something different.....


LOVED it!!! We were there in Feb. I actually enjoyed Coronado springs better than Carribean Beach. I would not hesitate to stay there again!!!

We are planning our girls only cruise. Leave husband and children at home. This is our 9th year and it looks like we have decided on the Sept 26th sailing. We would love to take part in the FE LIST if possible and any other activites that are planned. Cindy

I'm starting to get my FE stuff ordered and put together as well! Today my DD6 and I are doing a countdown chain. I think we have 136 days left or maybe 135...my counting may be off.
