Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

There are a few FE threads that make their way to page one on a regular basis.

My problem is that I keep finding newer and cooler ideas but I am completely craft challenged so am afraid that I will not be able to pull off the ideas that I find.

lol:rotfl: For me it's more of a ADHD problem. Every time I think I want to do something, I find something else that looks cool or sounds cool or I make up that I think is cool and I'm back to square one -- over, and over, and over again! :rotfl2::rotfl2: I guess you could say I'm easily distracted, and easily pleased. :lmao:

Lol. I'm so craft challenged, I don't even try it. Love looking at some of the pics on the DIS, but know I shouldn't take it past that point. Don't think most will be doing the :yay::dance3: if I 'craft' them something that I'm sure looks like a duck but everybody thinks is a car. After 7 nights of breaking their pretty heads trying to figure out what the hell it is. :rolleyes1

Nah, I'll just stick to shopping. Do what you're good at, and all.

About the FE-gifts, though. Is it an idea to add the family names to the spreadsheet? I'm thinking about adding labels to the gifts, to address and all, but that could get fun with all of the nicknames on here. :goodvibes:lmao:

DH is actually making our FE gifts (shhhhhh - pretend they are from me). He's so creative and crafy that I know he'll come up with something great!!

How is everyone doing this week? The weather here in Atlanta is finally warming up a bit but everything is yellow due to the 20,000 pollen count. ICK! Hopefully, that will start to taper off in the next couple of days.

What is everyone planning on for Easter?? Nothing much on our end - just the standard dinner and Easter Bunny stuff.

DH is doing them? They must be good than, knowing his work. :thumbsup2

Nothing special for Easter here, basically hoping for some good weather so I can make some pictures of specific outside locations in our community. Will need them for an upcoming meeting for my volunteerwork, so hopefully this weekend will be a good start.

The weather has been doing backflips overhere though. One day it's raining all day and 40 degrees, the next it's sunny and 64 degrees, the day after rain and cold again, it's a bit :headache: Hopefully this weekend it'll clear up, I could use some good old long days of sun!

By the way, what is up with you always being on the DIS this early in the morning? Do I smell a little addiction? ;)

LOL - yes, I definitely *am* addicted to The DIS, but I get to work at 7:30 a.m. on the days that I work, and my guys don't roll in until about 9:00 a.m. So, if I don't have any work to do, I just... :surfweb:

Ah, that explains a lot. And it's a good place to do some DISsing; no DH or TB to disturb you when reading up on things. :)

Hey now, where can I sign up????:lmao: Sounds good to me!!!! =)

We had snow here -- yes, the dreaded "S" word. I wanted to cry, but today it's sunny and in the 50's. You know what they say about Ohio, if you don't like the weather, stick around a few minutes, it is bound to change. :rotfl:

We are doing Easter here at the house and still don't know who is coming and who is not. lol Perhaps I should also figure out what we will be eating??? :confused3 Oh my, procrastination, it seems to be the name of the game these days!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!!!

Hoping they extend the kids sail free into September and I can do a re-book and still get a lower rate.

Hey there Goofieslonglostsis

I've got a question for you regarding the secret mickey swap. About how many people have signed up for it, and have you drawn the names yet to match people up? I am interested in doing this, but I didn't want to come in too late in the game and mess things up. My sister may enjoy this as well.

And finally, are there any kids who have signed up to do a kid swap?

Thanks so much for your help in this!! :thumbsup2

Have a fantastic day!
Karen

Hey Pam,

Thanks so much!!!! :cool1: We do appreciate all of your help!!! :worship:

And to be planning a wedding, too! Whew! That is very exciting!!! :woohoo: Enjoy it; it will be here before you know it!!!

Karen

Hi Karen,

you're definately not too late! Haven't matched anyone up yet, am thinking about doing that about 2 or 3 months prior. You know, give all of us time enough including those planning weddings and all. ;) At the moment those that are signed up, are signed up per group (some have more than one cabin). With there only being 2 groups signed up with no kids, I'll be able to match those with kids to others with kids if desires, so the kids can have fun with it also. If you want to participate; simply sent me a PM. :) To make it a bit easier for your SM, you can include names, ages, likes and dislikes, favorite caractres tec.

Which is also a good time for me check of my list. At the moment it consists of;
DisneySweetie (cabin 7580 and 7582)
Maggie62677 (cabin 7606)
Fire14 (cabin 7120)
Crystal27 (cabin 6634)
Sftnslky (cabin 6620 and 6622)
BananasTwo (cabin 2534)
Goofieslonglostsis and LieskegoesDisney (cabin 6654)
