The buying is what I am dreading. I suppose I will have to wait and see and then work out the most cost effective way. I like digital photos as I don't scrapbook but turn everything into photo books on Shutterfly. I even scan/photograph all of Kirsten's artwork from school and put into photo books, but that way I can keep the absolute favorites, but have copies of everything and no guilt included.
I have no idea how we are going to tell Kirsten. It may have to be when we see you as I am then going to have to start pulling out the cases anyway. Tomorrow I have a pile of clothes to take to the dry cleaners. I do most myself, but with our formal wear I would rather leave it to the professional.
Now you will have to excuse my ignorance, but where is Oasis of the Seas and where does it go.

I love the idea of scanning artwork and putting it into a book! How neat! We usually start out at the beginning of the cruise buying the biggest package they have for the pictures. I can then take the pictures back to my room and make the final decisions once I see them all at once. Then, you can cut back and get a refund or add to it if necessary. My sister and I split a package on our last cruise and this worked really wellf! We usually end up spending around $300 on the pictures. As I said, the formal shots are just so good! And, they have some very fun poses. They have one of my three older boys with their pirate gear on (just eye patches, bandanas, and swords) jumping with a white background. It's really fun!!
Oasis of the Seas is
Royal Caribbean's new line of ship. Oasis and the Allure are the two biggest cruise ships out there. They have rock climbing, surfing, ziplining all ONBOARD!!!! I'd be happy sticking with Disney forever, but the boys really wanted to try it. I think we'll add on a week at Disney beforehand so I can get my fix though!!! LOL

By the way, we sent our formal clothes to be pressed on the last cruise-- they got rumpled in the suitcase. Our stateroom hostess took care of it for us and I think it cost around $12. If you might need that service, just be sure to send the clothes out the day before.
I've heard this is worth it! My formal stuff will have been in our suitcases for two weeks by the time we get on the ship. You bet it'll all need a good pressing!!! Did you just ask your stateroom hostess to take it out for you?
Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend...we had a fun filled 4 day camp trip...now thats over, I'm ready to focus on our cruise...been picking up all our things we need & started thinking about clothes/outfits.
My DD wants to bring one of her Belle dresses...do a lot of the kids dress up & if so what days do they dress up...dinner as formal attire?
FUn!! Where did you camp? I'm going to bring two of Meg's princess dresses. She wears them for teh princess gatherings and at dinner. I saw a teenaged girl on one cruise with all her little princess dresses. She went to the princess meet and had the princesses sign them all. It brought tears to my eyes! I'm saving all of Meg's outgrown ones to do that with.
So, you know we were going to drive out to the port from Michigan right? And, we decided last minute to fly. I'm having to make decisions about what to leave at home. I did a dry run last night on my oldest son's bag and we are 16 pounds UNDER the weight limit for his carryon!!! So, now I need to figure out what else to take!!!!
Today, I'm starting to gather all the little things - FE, pirate stuff, trading pins, etc. I hope we only need to check one bag!!!
