::MickeyMo Hey everyone I found this and thought I would share it with you...

:jumping1: :thewave: :Pinkbounc

On October 1, the Disney Magic will sail to the Norshipco shipyard in Norfolk, Va. for a two-week dry dock period, during which new guest experiences and venues will be added.

* Disney Cruise Line will introduce another cruise industry first with its Vista Spa and Salon expansion, which will include three specially designed indoor/outdoor spa treatment suites. Each suite will feature an indoor spa treatment room that is connected to a private outdoor verandah – complete with personal hot tub and open air shower. With beautiful ocean vistas and warm tropical breezes, the new treatment suites will provide guests with a romantic getaway into a tranquil oasis without ever leaving the ship.

* Adding to the already expansive offerings for children, Disney Cruise Line is transforming three conference rooms on deck 2 of the Disney Magic into a brand new hang-out for kids called Ocean Quest. Ocean Quest will feature a scaled replica of the ship’s bridge with simulation games that will allow children to steer a cruise ship in and out of ports around the world.

* Additionally, Disney Magic guests will soon be able to enjoy poolside movies on a brand-new, state-of-the-art jumbo LED screen on deck 9. Affixed to the forward funnel, the 24-by-14-foot screen will show movies along with major sporting and broadcast events. The enormous screen will also enhance outdoor entertainment and deck parties in and around the Goofy, family pool area.

* A new interactive shore excursion at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, will immerse guests into the amazing underwater world of stingrays. In partnership with marine animal experts from the Living Seas at Epcot, Disney Cruise Line created a stingray sanctuary adjacent to the teen beach at Castaway Cay. The 60-minute experience called Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure includes an educational orientation loaded with interesting facts and tidbits about stingrays, hands-on interaction, and free-time to snorkel in the stingray lagoon. Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure is scheduled to open late September.

* Disney Cruise Line has new itineraries for guests to choose from in 2006. First, a seven-night itinerary is being added that stops at Castaway Cay twice during the cruise. Beginning May 27 and running through Dec. 9, 2006, the Disney Magic will embark on this alternate western Caribbean itinerary, every fourth week, calling twice at Castaway Cay and adding a new port of call, Costa Maya, coupled with a stop at Cozumel and two days at sea. For the Disney Wonder, two special cruises are planned – one 10-night and one 11-night cruise, both sailing to the Southern Caribbean. This marks the first time Disney has offered cruises longer than three- or four-nights aboard the Disney Wonder. The Southern Caribbean itinerary includes ports such as St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua and St. Kitts. Barbados and St. Kitts are new ports of call for Disney Cruise Line. The 10-night cruise will depart on Sept. 7, and the 11-night cruise departs on Sept. 17, 2006.

Whew :tilt: You guys are exhausting. :hyper2: I've peeked in and out during work to catch up. I know I can't respond to everything so just a general missed you guys and am so glad to see all the excitement before we go. :teeth:

:ssst: don't tell Lem I finished my magnets for hubby and kids. I'll hang those inside our cabin, 'cause I'm just a wee bit paranoid and don't like to put pics of the kids on the outside of our door

Julie - Em loves Kdg but she only tells me about the Monkey Bars and library and music class everything else is "You went to Kindergarten didn't you? It's alot like that?" She turns 6 next week, often sounds more like 13 ;) By the way, are you packing costumes for Jack? D's decided he likes "Capn Hook" now so I think we're packing this for Pirate's night, What do you think?

ADORABLE!!!!

Yes, Jack and Bailey are both going to be pirates for Pirate night! It will be so cute to see them all together!

Got a super cute Buzz Lightyear suitcase from Disneydirect today. (On SALE nonetheless!) It is small, but it should be ok for Jack's tiny clothes!! Can't wait - I have packed all his dinner clothes in it already. Now to look for his shoes...

You know, it'd be cool if the Travel Channel did another 'Drydock' mini-series following this ship.

Have you guys slowed down the posting pace? :confused3 ONLY three pages while I was at work... :rolleyes1 I may have to recalculate my estimate as to when we will reach "Ingrid's Goal". Hopefully, the slowdown will not cause her to fret to badly...

Have received word from Chrystina  that she will be returning from CA early. I thought it was cause she missed me. :teeth: UNTIL I got home and found out about the appointment at the SALON on saturday morning. :earboy2: Ah ~ how simple a man I am!!! :rolleyes1

Of course, wait til she hears that I have been offered another job!!! Back in Alaska! :rotfl2: I know that she will beat me to within an inch of my life!!! :scared1: If I don't behave myself :worship: and STAY HOME. Fortunately, I am pretty sure they won't meet my Salary requirement. Just had to ask ... :teeth:

Okay ... well, we're leaving for WDW on Tuesday, so I think we are going to actually pack on Sunday ...

More to follow ...

Dennis

I'm jumping out of my skin tonight. :hyper2: My house is in shambles. :scared1: My bedroom looks like a bomb hit it. :scared1: I will try my best to keep up with you all, but it's dang near impossible. I'm not counting the days only because it's stressing me out. :scared: I finally cleared some counter space on my island in the kitchen, now the beast can lay on it. I will be up late tonight, reeeaaaalllllly! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: There is not eneough hours in the day. Big hugs to all tonight. :grouphug:

I just want to squeeze and hug your little guy Bpicard9. What a good looking guy.

I have decided that we all have the best looking children in the whole wide world.

Gotta go, Gotta go :moped:

Didi :wizard:

One more thing, I should not do this while I'm cooking supper two nights in row, I have burnt things, first the squash, then the mashed potatoes.

Dennis,

Will you be bringing your laptop with you so that you can keep posting.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and your lovely wife. Kath and I will also be at the salon on Saturday. Must get the Pedicure done.

I'm a figuring around 1PM we'll get together, I'll stay put and post a pic of my attire, just look for the hat. It will be me. Gosh I've got to finish that too.

To much to do and so little time.

Gotta go, and finish cleaning. :moped:

Didi :wizard:

bpi ~ Great looking Kid! How many copies of the picture with Capt Hook will you be buying? - Home Equity Loan?

Season ~ Maybe we should declare you the "official photographer" for Barney's Brood. We have a VERY DEMOCRATIC voting process - Please leave the room for two minutes while we vote! :teeth:

Julie ~ I think Chrystina  had to sit down from the shock when I told her she could go shopping for sandals. :rotfl2: Then it donned her and she asked "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE PERMISSION?" :rotfl2: BE CAREFUL, I HAVE PLASTIC AND I KNOW HOW TO USE IT!!! Yes, Dear :worship:

Princess Olivia ~ My only tip ~ Enjoy!!! And pay attention to Ingrid's tip. :teeth:

Season ~ You post all the "improvements" they're going to make after we go on the cruise? That's mean!!! Or are you getting a percentage of the re-bookings from Barney's Brood? :love2:

Keri ~ I know that you would NEVER make a disparaging remark about any of DH's "toys". Just like Chrystina  Everything is always Harmony. :cloud9:

Okay ... time for a short little trek before dinner is ready ...

Dennis

DIDI ~ Personally, I have been wondering how many of this crew will be show signs of PWS and how soon? PWS=Posting Wihdrawal Symptoms. If anyone (Julie) rebooks, I suspect that she will start posting before we leave the ship!

Believe it or not, I have been "struggling" with bringing my PC ... I have some work & academics that will need to be done ... YES, I did say that. :confused3 Will see what happens ... thought it would be nice to have it along to download and collect pictures :grouphug:

Well, the cats :paw: are demanding dinner... NOW!

And I still have to go for my trek ...

cujobugs....no one from the midwest, I'm afraid. We're from southern California, one family is from Seattle, one from NJ and two from PA. It's my husband's sister and cousins....and all our kids - ten second cousins in all. We very rarely all get together, so it should be great.

Nine days to go!!

Welcome,
We are originally from SO CA. Migrated up north 10years ago.

Do we have anyone from North Carolina/Virginia Beach area? Just hoping all of our Dissers stay safe from Ophelia. Sounds like a whole lot of water is headed that way.

G'night all. Gotta get these kiddies to bed so I can read through my Passporter to make sure I haven't forgotten anything.

Don't forget to stop at the post office to have them hold your mail. :moped:

So, here's a thought. :scratchin: The dry dock changes mention that the stingray stuff will be available at Castaway Cay at the end of September. Well, we'll be there on September 30th. Is that end enough? Yet, we weren't given the option of that excursion. Do you think we'll be a "trial run" for them to work out any bugs before guests start to pay for the experience? Or, do you think this is included for everyone at CC?
