Hi Everyone, :teeth:

Being a pig (wart hog variety) I didn't give my partner in emergency weather management an opportunity to appear in the first version. This minor update includes some pithy comments from Dave Walsh, :teacher: who filmed this piece. :thewave:

Dave ~ Thanks for joining me in this rant.
(...and for not calling those nice men with the butterfly nets) :hyper:

:rotfl2:

Keri ~ How often does your DH go clothes shopping? If he is like me, it is about once a year or every other year! Chrystina  on the other hand, is perpetually shopping! :rotfl2: How she finds it her "obligation" to spur on the economy in every town & city she visits is beyond me! NOT to mention the shoes!!! :rotfl2: Well, I better stop this hole I am digging is just going to keep getting deeper!! :rotfl2: ~ I can "sense" some piece of jewelry calling to Chrystina  from Cozumel ~ Dennis

FYI - There have been 103 postings to this thread TODAY!!!! About 7 pages!!! Unless, of course, that number changes before I finish typing this!!! I suspect that 3003 is well within reach at this pace... :rotfl2:

Deanna-Briley tried to PM Carissa, and your box is full. Briley was highly upset!! ;) I told her I would be sure to let you know!

Actually, we got them in April. All our girls are going to match, all for the low price of $7.96! Man we had fun that day! :flower:

It doesn't get any better than that! Woo-Hoo!! Bailey has her first ever soccer game tomorrow at 11 am! Have a safe and fun trip!

Bill - I have been meaning to tell you - I love your blue poncho. :teeth:

Thanks Julie,

We tried to really "Weather Channel" it up, soaked my head in the shower, threw on the blue poncho, and headed out. We really wanted to do that "step into the wind tunnel" trick the weather guys like, :hyper:
but the security guards at the hotel didn't look too happy to turn us loose outside. :confused3

Figuring that if we started about 200 yards upwind of the hotel, it should be pretty easy to make the door, "as the cow flies". :hyper:
Still no smiles from the security guys.

Erinc- thanks for the heads up about my PM box being full. Good grief. I didn't even know it could get full. I'll work on that. We need to keep these girls chatting!

Good night. Deanna

Ingrid, I am so very sorry. The offer to "chill and relax" on the verandah in 7120 still stands if you wasnt to use it!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. And, to answer your other questions, water wallets (I think you called the dry boxes) are sold in Mickey's Mates onboard. The ones onboard have the DCL logo on them. You can get on on CC with the CC logo too....

Julie: glad that your little one is better

Loved the weather report too---thanks for the laughs

Dennis--glad all well at the dentist

Peaceful dreams to all of you!!

Good Morning again, :sunny:

I just had to sit for awhile and savor the rich aroma of coffee. :cloud9: As I was enjoying the rounded flavors of my Colombian coffee :drinking1 I had an inspiration, I’ll post my Excel spread sheet just to prove my dear BIL wrong. pirate: Of course this will be a continuous work in progress until I finish packing. I will post this tonight after I get more packing done.

Dearest B-I-L and all, working for my new company is nothing like working for GE. They let me go home early yesterday because it was a Friday and the work was done. GE on the other hand …. I won’t get into it. Let’s just say I am much happier and actually have the time to prepare for my trips now. Yes, I know that I lost my license, but who lost his room card at Blizzard Beach????? David are you there? pirate:

Julie, you crack me up. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Teary eyed... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thank you so much for your tears, I was crying  :teeth: too last night as I was looking at my bed and then back at the suitcase. I’m so excited that I will actually have this trip under control and that I won’t stress myself out. :hyper: :hyper: Let’s just say, preparation in the past made life absolutely miserable for my DH. :headache: :scared: MY NERVES WHERE SHOT TO HADES BY THE TRIP!!!

Big plans today:
1. Haircut
2. Soccer Game
3. Packing
4. Grocery shopping
5. Raspberry picking
6. Birthday party
7. Packing/posting spread sheet

Not to mention cooking, cleaning, removal of plants, etc.

I have access to three Home Depots, I’ll fit that in too and get some MICKEYS. In my spare time, I’ll staple them together and create a Mickey crown. :hyper: :hyper:

Ingrid, I’m sending you a big hug. My prayers are with you. I wish there was something that I could do. :flower2:

I must go now, I do miss the beach.

Didi

Okay, one more thing. :hyper2: I don't think they provide a coffee machine in the room. So I have packed a power cord, and If I pack just right, I can fit in my small four cup coffee maker in one of my bags along with good coffee.

Should I pack enough coffee :hyper: :hyper: for everyone? What's the weight limit for suitcases, 20lbs of coffee to much? :Pinkbounc OH, and I can bring my coffee bean grinder...... :hyper: YES!!!! :cheer2:

Got to go.... :moped:

Didi

By the one week mark I won't be able to sleep and keep up with the board I go to bed and you guys post another 3 pages.

Today I pick up my DOC's at my TA's, the off to my job that doesn't pay but what are friends for (in my free time I do the bookkeeping, inventory for my best friend pet store, oh and take care of all the wonderful animals when he goes on vacation) in return he gives me fish food and fish (and I need fish often to replace the ones I kill), then I need to pack, go to Home Depot and Walmart ( I know I need something at walmart just don't know what it is yet but it will cost DH some $$)

Ingrid - my prayes are with you and your family :grouphug:

Julie Glad the little ones are doing better.

Chat later need to get those doc's its been killing me that there at the TA and I couldn't get them.

Ingrid... :grouphug:

All this "coffee talk" made me think that I'm going to have withdrawal without my flavored frou-frou creamer. I just might have to buy some of the powdered stuff to keep in the room for the morning run to deck 9! Just like American Express, I can't leave home without it!!!

I can't say I have everything in spreadsheet format, but things are getting pretty anal around here. Sometime ago, I found an Ultimate Packing List online and have customized it for our family. Well, I'm crossing things off the list as I pack them. BUT (here's the anal part), if I put the item in my daughter's backpack, I cross it off with a pink marker. If it goes in the big green suitcase, I mark it off with the green, etc. I have 4 different piles going on, just trying to distribute the weight properly so our checked in bags don't exceed 50 lbs.

I went to the post office yesterday and filled out the "Hold" form for our mail. We're getting close now!!!

Gonna stop to get my Mickey heads this weekend. I'm sure DD will want pink - when you're 6, it's ALL about pink!!

We're going to have beautiful weather in the Northeast today. Headed to a family reunion and then we have to start work on the first school project of the year. Gotta get that done so I can obsess about this cruise in peace!

Happy weekend everyone.

I better watch out... I will have all kinds of crazy nutts calling me at work telling me they have seen the paint chip swiping bandit dancing down the streets of Kansas City singing the countdown song!!!

How about the flood of calls on the 'psychic hot line' with people claiming to have had visions on where the 'Paint Chip Bandit' will strike next?

Morning all! 14 days exactly until we load up on the big boat! :bounce:

I've been left alone with Mac this morning, and when this happens my normally-dormant domestic side starts to reveal itself. Something tells me there will be some early packing going on today.

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. :scared:

An update on our passport SNAFU... we're having to re-apply, which of course means having to grit my teeth and get my picture taken again (I'm about as photogenic as roadkill). Oh well, at least I was wearing my favorite Chernabog Choppers shirt. Season was told however that if we got the applications filed on Monday we could get them before we leave.

Just getting the engines started ... waiting out the coffee ... looks to be another warm day coming as the sun rises over the Guadalupe mountains...

DIDI ~ Have been getting a new cactus or succulent everyday. What a variety!!! These things are cool ... and the cats don't like to prune them.

Dennis

Good morning!

We are off to a parade this morning. So I'm up early on a Saturday. Didi- could you please pass the coffee? My eyes are a bit droopy. I guess we can recognize Didi at the port coffee shop. She will be the one screaming at the poor man behind the coffee shop counter! The conversation will go something like this.

Didi- Excuse me sir, do you have a plug end I can borrow?
Clerk- Why? We only sell coffee.
Didi- You don't sell the right kind of coffee!!! So I'm just wondering if I can plug in my coffee maker behind your counter. I have 20 lbs of coffee right here in my suitcase that just needs a little grinding and brewing.
Clerk- Ma'am, the food regulations restrict us from allowing others drinks in this area.
Didi suddenly hurdles over the counter to begin a firm choke hold on the poor little clerk. All the time staring back at her coffee filled suitcase to make sure no one snatches it! I don't really no what happened after this, but mysteriously the coffee man disappears behind the counter never to be seen behind the counter again. Before he leaves, Didi grabs the clerks paper hat that says "COFFEE" on the front of it, and puts on the hat. The next words I hear behind the counter from the new girl out of breath, sweating and wearing the hat are.....
"May I help the next one in line? If you give me a second I'll get you some REAL coffee!"

Another case for the FBI lady on board!
