Dennis, we'd never make you walk the plank.....we'd let Deanna et al choose additional outfits for you instead....

ETA: The above remark was said in a joking/froendly manner :goodvibes

Welcome, welcome to all newbies!!!

Season - Yea! You came over here! Congratulations on your docs and your upgrade! :goodvibes

Cheers,
:drinking1

Ahoy there -- another newbie hatching off the port bow! pirate:

Evening, everyone! I'm Eric, Season's husband (though I also answer to "Servo"). :wave2: She told me about this place and recommended I take a peek over here.

I gotta be honest, I started reading this thread from the beginning but gave up when I saw how many there were... :earseek: I got about as far as Alaska's mention of his brave (or foolhardy) stunt of wearing a Notre Dame shirt during the Iron Bowl. Major chutzpah points there dude. :teeth:

Don't know about the rest of y'all, but we are chompin' at the bit for this little boat trip to get started... and she's right, y'all do sound like a great bunch!

Hi Eric & Season,

Welcome Aboard!!

I hope you'll share with us all at some point how you picked up the nickname 'Servo'. :chat:

I also noticed a few other people on the main board. Lets hope they swing over & say hello.

Come on all you lurkers!! I joined in around page 35. Don't be intimidated. We are a fun crew!!

Night All,

David

Welcome, Eric! :wave2: We're glad you joined also. How are the conditions where you are in Alabama? :confused3

We were watching the weather channel tonight to check on the hurricane status. There are two currently in the Atlantic. They are pretty far away though. And of course the tropical storm over our little Cape Canaveral! Get out of there. :guilty:

Ingrid- you haven't been posting as much lately. I miss your crazy comments!

Smilingmouse- the company would love to pick out more outfits for Dennis! We will have him looking marvelous! :groom:

See ya. Deanna :wave2:

Welcome newbies. Yeah, more folks from Alabama!!! We are from Fairhope, Southernmouse is from Alabaster! We'll be visiting my sister in B'ham this weekend. Actually making the trip just to see the Lion King. Glad more folks are signing in the closer we get.

Thanks to all of you that have offered help for the disaster relief. If is so kind of you. I really don't feel comfortable taking any money myself from you, but if you would like you may mail something to our church. They are providing the site for the school uniform distribution, and have purchased school supplies and some uniforms. We have also purchased food, cleaning supplies, gasoline, and tons of baby goods and driven them to the VanCleave, Mississippi area. Our church has received funds from other congregations to help out, so they set up a special disaster relief bank account, so that we can account for all funds given to disaster relief. That way the funds are strictly for disaster relief and not to support our particular congregation. Please don't feel like I'm asking you to donate, but several of you asked so this is what I feel comfortable with. The church address is...
Eastern Shore Church of Christ
P.O Box 38
Daphne, AL 36526
Just jot a note that it is intended for disaster relief.

Well the bug man is coming for our quartley spray tomorrow. I need to run around and make sure there is nothing embarrassing laying in the floor! ;) I hate when he comes, I feel like I'm always apologizing for the way my house looks. "Please don't trip over the kids toys!" Don't even look in my laundry room! :teeth: Talk to you all tomorrow. By the way, NO docs for me today! :confused3

Welcome Newbies :wave2: Christine, Season and Eric and any lurkers :wave2:
I've posted a new summary of our crew at http://www.umsl.edu/services/public_affairs/group_090705.pdf
Feel free to share any info and I'll happily update :teeth:

Dennis and Erin - surely tomorrow you'll be able to join us in the doc dance :cool1:
Dennis - How's Chrystina?
Erin - Thanks for the church address. Glad that your kids like the booklet. See images at end of this post to see Captain Li Shang w/my Mulan and Mushu
Marsha - hope your Dad's doing better and that you and your Mom are holding up okay.
Ingrid - isn't the wedding soon? Hope DH is feeling better.

Hello and hope everyone else's is okay. :grouphug: Haven't been able to post much, but have been able to peek at thread a little each day.

If anyone is interested in participating in the Cabin Tag game, please let me know. I'll need cabin numbers so that we can run around and "Tag" each other so unless you don't want to be included, I'll start out with our current chart.

Since we're getting closer to the cruise :cool1: :cool1: I thought I would include a couple of pics of my crew. Please Note how wonderful my DH is.

Deanna,

I figured you could use the extra business!

Dennis---could we get a countdown please--we could do it ourselves, but it wouldn'tt be the same....

Erin, I hope al of your "secrets" are safe from the bug man

Hey..Deanna. Yeah, I knew about the 5:30 am immigration and interrogation session on disembarkment day. My plan of action is to first sleep in and then once they start desperately paging us we are going to hide somewhere. You see, that way no one can leave the ship! Anything for my friends! :earboy2:

I’ve been a little more quiet lately, Deanna, because things have been real busy lately. Since the start of school my computer “me” time is limited. And then tonight I spent two hours writing a speech..and rewriting it, and rewriting it…etc. Apparently, Darren and I will be giving a toast to the groom. I wish I had someone neutral who could critique it for me. Any volunteers?

Bipicard…Chantel got the updated booklet today! I think she has looked over it 20 times already today. Thanks so much for doing that.

I would love to be included in the Cabin Tag game! Sounds like a lot of fun!

Welcome Christine! My name isn’t Ingrid. :rotfl: A long story, but hopefully I can give you a quick rundown on how Ingrid came to be my name if we have the opportunity to meet on the ship.

Also welcome Season and Eric! Where were all you new people months ago? :confused3

Didi..don’t you just love it when cats leave you a lovely gift? i.e. hairballs? And why is it that they always have to deposit it on the carpet? 70% of our house is laminate flooring, but my cats always have to leave their “gifts” on the carpet..making it harder to clean. Oh..and the other day, Dory decided to bring me a present from outside. A bird. But instead of just bringing it in and dropping it on the floor, she had to drop it in my shoe! But I’m quite happy that I discovered it BEFORE I proceeded to slide my foot in the shoe.

Ok..is there anyone here that has’nt gotten their docs? (besides me that is?)..and Dennis and Erin? I’m waiting until everyone gets theres so I can make a trip to my TA and whine to her that EVERYONE has theirs, but me!!

Dennis… Lowlie come ULately? :rotfl2: I love it.

bpicard9- Awesome pics. Is that your DH in the costume? Too funny. I would also like to be included in the door tag game along with my SIL Lori.

Ingrid- Glad to hear you are alive and well. What is the date of the wedding? Is it next weekend?

Julie- We ran a trot line this weekend at the lake. Isn't that one of your specialities? Speaking of specialites, I also water skiied. Isn't that a specialty of yours also? :rotfl:
Is it time to go yet?! Deanna

Good Morning to the newbies and the oldies!!! :sunny:

Hi to Season and Servo and I think Eric. :wave2:

I think I have tons to read, I'll have to catch up later. The coffee is on and I have to leave the house by 6AM to catch the 6:17 train to work this morning. I have a lovely early morning meeting. Gotta boogie :moped:

Didi

Dennis- Congrats on the doc diddy dance! Did you break dance on the kitchen table? :dancer:

Didi- I can't imagine catching the train for work. We just don't have that in Kansas. It sounds so different than our part of the world. I hope your coffee was tasty! Even if it wasn't tasty I'm sure you would've still enjoyed it!

For you past cruisers, does the internet place on the ship stay open 24 hours? If not, does anyone know the hours on Friday night? Since I am flying Southwest, I would like to get on at 12:01 a.m. and get my boarding pass for Saturday. But I'm not sure they stay open that late. Anyone know the answer? If not, I'll have to resort to the big boys at the main board. :confused3 If it does stay open that late, I know I won't be seeing Didi in there! She'll be snoring!

Have a great morning. I must go and catch my 7:10 a.m. SUV!

Deanna :wave2:

Welcome aboard Season, Servo, Eric, Christine any one have early dinner I would be happy to link the dinner reservations and Dennis does the late reservations, Just need you to send some info to me Dennis know what it is I am sure he will tell us.

Bpicard9- I am in on the tag game. Also Great Pic.

Mom is holding up pretty good, I might go over this weekend and sit with dad and send her out for a while she could use a break. Feel a little guilty about going away but mom would kill me if I didn't.

Cujo - I am on southwest too, I need to get my boarding pass.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I am sitting at work on my countdown to mickey love and it is just not going nearly quick enough!!! Is it just me????

We all need to get together and do the Hurricane(S)/Tropical Storm(S) GO AWAY Dance!!! The last Disney Cruise we were on was November of 2003 and we had 20 foot swells out there and needless to say the boat was ah rockin.
:Pinkbounc

Anyway, I hope everyone has an amazing day!!!

Hi all! Welcome to all our last minute newcomers! We're glad you joined.

No docs here, yet...

A special welcome to my fellow Birminghamians, Season and Eric  . I am from the other end of town (Alabaster). It is so neat to know that someone else from close by will be on the same cruise. I am hopeful to receive my documents soon now since you have already gotten yours.

Count me in on the door tag game. My room number is 2500 but I am still holding out hope for an upgrade for ErinC's crew and mine. Everytime I read about one on here, I check the Disney Cruise website to see if anything has changed. Oh well, a girl can dream can't she?? :goodvibes

Well, I'm off to clean house and get everything ready for our company cook-out tonight. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone... I'll make sure to tell Servo! :rotfl2:

kb1esx -- the "Servo" comes from Tom Servo of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. It's the name by which practically all of my online friends know me. I'll answer to either one though.

cujobugs -- The conditions never really got that bad where we live. Our power never even went off (flickered a couple times, but nothing major). Certainly nothing to complain about considering how hard other areas got hit.

ErinC -- I probably should be asking cujobugs' question to you. How'd you weather the storm? And yes, it's good to find out there are members also in Alabama! I'm used to chatting with people half a country away. Feels like you and southernmouse are just right around the corner.

bpicard9 -- I love the pictures, but I'm about to flaunt my 'newbieness' here. What's a DH? My brain wants to read your last line as "Please Note how wonderful my Designated Hitter is."

Oh, btw my custom title isn't just attitude... our son really is named Mac.

Ok i am trying to keep up! LOL
We would love to play the door tag game! Do I need to PM someone? Well i sent the note to school yesterday...waiting to see what happens...I really am going to start packing this weekend! UGH>>>and i have to find a dress for formal night...I love the one you picked for me but i am afraid I won't beable to sit down in it!
it's raining here in Tampa today which means all i want to do is sleep!

Hi Party Elf

I have early dinner, if dennis could tell me how to link the dinner reservation or do it for us I would be happy to have someone I know at early dinner. I have a DD 3.

Us Four Foxes have early seating as well. DS, age 9 and DD, age 6 1/2. The more the merrier!
